[quote author=Vifx post=140393945]That’s the real issue. If businesses can suddenly claim they cannot operate without foreign workers doing basic packing and stock-handling jobs, then the question is whether they were genuinely filling a skills gap or simply exploiting vulnerable workers willing to accept poverty wages. Labour inspectors should investigate wages, working conditions and employment practices not just the workers’ immigration status. If South Africans can do the same jobs, employers should be able to explain why they weren’t hiring them.[/quote Me think that they are just saying that the individual's available for employment are just lazy. |

badoh: Have you people asked the offence of the speaker before concluding that D7 governor wants to put his own man. The fact that you hate someone because of his party doesn't mean you should not use your senses to analyse issues. Even if the speaker is corrupt( just an example) and the members are exercising their right to remove him, people will immediately jump into conclusions that the executive is behind it. If the speaker is actually corrupt or has abused his office, then he should be disciplined, this is democracy please. What is even my own, Nigeria weh be say almost 75% of the masses are not trustworthy, dem sabi blame politicians while they are also guilty of same offence. Who among is not corrupt? psalmsjob: 10 years from now we can still look back on these hospital project and point to it as something this governor did without any shalaye.
These are the kind of photos and hospital built by Peter Obi when he was governor that we have been asking his supporters to show us that they cannot but just cho cho cho audio "he did something" is what they tell us. When the reality is that doctors and nurses were on strike for 13 months straight (1 year and 1 month) asking for good salary and equipments to work with but peter obi refused to even address them but kept the state money in his bank to yeild interest for the bank. So much that the doctors and nurses had to call off the strike themselves to save dieing patients after 1 year and 1 month which is still a record for the longest doctors and nurses strike in Nigeria or anywhere in the would including in Vietnam, Bangladesh, Egypt and China.
So to cover his woefull record on health he goes about now that he wants to be president desperately donating money to nurses as if that will help those patients who died under his watch or doctors that were exposed to hazard on the job.
Any Peter Obi supporter who is sure of himself should counter my claims with pictures of hospital that peter obi built when he was governor or just hide your face in shame. for supporting an olodo former governor who could only build a beer Refinery for his people. Be shining your teeth up and down while your own governor is busy doing nothing. |

Ballmer: I am a Christian n I will like to know when christian pastors across Nigeria say infidels who are those fhey are calling or talking about ? Are they not referring to Muslims.
In the bible when you preach do not be evenly yoke with unbelievers who are those unbelievers ? This is why many people say religion is for the fools, I will explain. I attend Redeem n on this particular day a visiting pastor preach about being yoked with those not from same faith.
I know the resident pastor try avoiding this most times because in Ajah where I reside even the church must colaborate with the Muslim community for peace. Now, to me my father is a Muslim n mother a Christian so is the foolish pastor from the pits of hell telling me not to be yoked with my father ?!
As much as anyone dare blame the cleric, reserve equal blame for each n every of your pastor for preaching against infidels just like thos Muslim cleric. Mr man you are a Muslim. Don't deceive yourself. |

LabStores: Organized religions will always attract humans.
Religion is one of the oldest and most sophisticated frameworks ever created for managing the terrifying space between what we know and what we desperately want to know.
It gives death a narrative. It gives suffering a meaning. It gives morality a structure. It gives fear a language. It gives hope somewhere to live.
And perhaps most importantly, it gives human beings a psychological mechanism for controlling themselves when nobody else is watching.
Because the human animal is not governed entirely by reason. We are driven by desire, fear, greed, lust, anger, status, survival and the need to belong. Civilization discovered very early that laws can control behaviour only when someone is watching.
Religion introduced something more powerful:
A watcher who never sleeps.
Whether that watcher objectively exists is a philosophical and theological question. The psychological effect of believing that the watcher exists is a different question entirely.
Heaven and hell become incentives and deterrents. Sin becomes internal surveillance. Repentance becomes psychological correction. Ritual becomes behavioural conditioning. Community becomes social reinforcement. Faith becomes a mechanism for tolerating uncertainty.
And this is where religion becomes fascinating.
You don't necessarily need to prove that humans are stupid to explain religion. You only need to recognize that humans are fragile creatures trapped inside an existence they barely understand.
We fear death while being unable to investigate it from the other side.
We crave justice while living in a universe that appears completely indifferent to whether justice happens.
We want meaning while nature provides no obvious instruction manual.
So we construct one.
Call it religion. Call it philosophy. Call it ideology. Call it spirituality. Call it science when science is asked questions it cannot yet answer.
The labels change.
The psychological problem remains.
As long as humans remain conscious enough to ask "What happens when I die?" and incapable of obtaining a definitive answer, organized religion will have fertile ground.
Perhaps religion survives not because humans are incapable of thinking.
Perhaps it survives because thinking deeply about existence eventually confronts us with the limits of what we can know.
And humans have never been particularly good at staring into an abyss without giving the abyss a name... Apt. |
