The funniest thing i heard yesterday was people giving SE mandate to win AFCON to appease Nigerians. This attitude tells you exactly the level of the thinking of the average Nigerian. They actually think you can just vex and produce something you never prepared for. Like not reading your book, and suddenly on exam day you use vex scatter questions and miraculously made an A! This is very shameful, superstitious and ignorant.

You guys actually think you are going somewhere with players like Iwobi ,Simon Moses, Ejuke, Ndidi. Especially, Iwobi as your main playmaker. You know what i think ? I think Nigerians deserve the leaders they have because they all think alike...na akogheli!

Yes, we lost because of Osimhen's injury which shows that our team is useless without our main man unlike Congo's because for fvcks sake, Congo didn't even parade their number one striker Yoanne Wissa in this playoff due to injury, yet they battered us like we stole something in the street.

I have always maintained that we can't qualify for the world cup in this fire brigade fashion. It takes laying the proper foundation, starting with investing in and developing our academies, the professional league and lower league, and of course underage football.

We lost the qualification in the group level. All these outcry is very annoying.

Osayi was solid in the first half. It is in the second half he had 2 shaky moments. You will see them if you keep watching. Aside those, he was okay.

And abeg who criticized Zaidu? Abeg, show me that person. Zaidu was clearly unplayable. Put zero foot wrong all game.

And yes, Lookman and Chukwueze took turns coming in centrally as 8s. You observe well. They switched between wingplays and central attacking plays. Lookman especially created one chance through the middle, a ball so sweet that Osimhen ballooned.

See ehn, if the Osimhen of Extra time had been activated in that first half, it would have been game over bcoz Lookman and Chukwueze were in full flow and key reasons why our attacking flow was a joy to watch in the first 45.

Osimhen, Adams, Lookman, Chukwueze coming at a defence is a nightmare. Finishing and some luck were the only things lacking. That first half was gold. We transited the ball almost similar to Prime Barca of the 2009-2011 era.

I was marveled by those deft touches happening in the 1st half in the midfield and instantly reckoned it couldn't be Iwobi playing those passes. I knew it had to be Chukwueze or Lookman....lol

He handles the ball with calm and confident. Almost devoid of mistakes. Well, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for our dear Super Eagles. Once more, I could actually dream of better days

A sweet win but I still see the Eric Chelle is still sorting out his set up. We still have lots of work to do with our transition from midfield to attack, especially when dealing with a compact midfield.

I give him props with what he is doing with Ndidi but he needs to really work hard in building a more fluid midfield players.

I hope with time he switches to a more rich midfield set up.

Lets no pretend like we dont know where the lapses is coming from in the midfield. Iwobi is a liability there. Our forward is complete, defense complete but the creativity needed in the midfield is lacking. That's our weakest point

Whoever said this about Osimhen has a point but it doesn't take anything away from Osimhen

Who remembers that I stated on the 11th of November 2025: we either go for a 4way attack or keep Osimhen on the bench and the 4way attack is the exact attacking line on parade today?

A forward line of the four is the most plausible choice, especially when Lookman is available. My hope is that Chukwueze brings his A game on.

Putting Iwobi again in a midfield two when Onyedika is there is looking for trouble, I like our central defensive partnership, Is Zaidu Sanusi the best left back we have at the moment?

The reason being that Onyeka is a sort of defensive midfielder not attacking oriented like Iwobi. But my question is how long will it take us to find a proper creative player who can play in the middle of the pack.

The problem with Nigeria is that NFF no good but the shocking but hard to admit fact is that those complaining and condemning NFF too are no good. Put them there, they will do the same thing!

So whatever NFF does really doesn't bother me if not that this touches on the players welfare. Any body who has followed naija football, knows that perenially this issues of ineptitude and corruption, of unpaid bonuses and scandals dogs every administration of the NFF which proves my point.
I was in Secondary school reading newspapers and the complaints were the same. Presidents come and go yet the same problem persist. Does this not tell us something about ourselves which we often don't like to admit - namely that it is we ourselves - you, me, everyone else, without exception - who are the problem of Nigeria?

Honestly, Obiano and the engineering team that designed and built this ICC deserves much respect. Imagine how wide and suspended the roof/ceiling is without a single pillar/column yet some smaller ICC with columns in every corner and center are collapsing.
