So, to those that may not be aware of the details. This guy scammed a nairalander from a deal involving TBC worth 50k in the year 2016 or 2017 not very sure. So, recently his wife to be saw his account details on the scammers list and questioned him about it. Due to this, he contacted me and I asked him how his details got here which he explained. He asked me to promise to remove the details once he paid his victim but I made no such commitment. I asked him to return what he stole without giving us condition.

To cut the story short, he has returned the money and I asked him to make his request openly on nairaland as I have no such power to remove the details of someone that deliberately scammed. The decision of the members of this forum will determine his fate.

Please, did you make him consciously & specifically know that his request to expunge the details is not guaranteed?
If you didn't promise him but he still went ahead to re-initiate contacts with his victims and repaid them back, my modest opinion is that this could be interpreted as a reflection of his changed (or at worst his desire to change) nature.
In a way, I think he is already paying for the crime.
If I were that lady, I can never associate with him again

I was instrumental to getting my relations 2 vehicles from the OP (a 2004 Kia Sorento which is on the sea already & a 2007 Honda CRV which should have been on the sea by now but I opted for it to be queued for the next shipment because of logistics reason since I'm the one who'd get those vehicles down to far destination from Lagos).
