ps3 doesn't quite emulate the ps2 though. It’s just that the first generation/early revisions of the ps3 60gb has a built in hardware of the ps2 emotion engine just like how the psp can play ps1 gAmEs through it built in engine and how the vita can play psp titles bar the umd ones and I believe the specific terms is backward compatibility like how the Xbox one can play some Xbox 360 game catalogue.

For me, for years now i have lost all interest in all other categories of gaming except online shooters...i only play online shooters and only that category interests me...even on youtube i only watch videos of online shooter games and stream only online shooter games as they are they only ones worth streaming imo...
While once in a while i do play soccer or racing games (especially with friends) i am in no way really interested in these categories
The same way i see candy crush is same way i see fifa or pes or god of war or spiderman...

How would i open youtube or twitch and start streaming god of war lol...

That's a very bright insights and fair enough argument and I know if developers try they can bring consoles level of gaming to smartphones but I have a feeling that they won't tho atleast not yet.

Yea but the problem about emulator is that they always require the device emulating the original system to be almost atleast 10 times more powerful which is why even pcsxe ps2 emulator is not perfect on PC but ppsspp is definitely close to perfection tho why the damon ps2 or dolphin (gamecube/Wii emulator) on mobile are certainly not stable yet at all but they will get there soon too.

Me too I also prefer gaming on consoles too and I don't want mobile games to replace it at all.

Mobile phones hardware are limiting when it comes to gaming, imagine Devs still struggling to port a PS2 emulator on Android after 10 years

And with emulator PC actually play PS2 games better than PS2 itself the pcsx

If you play PS2 games on emulator for PC you get three times better graphics and smoother gameplay


One more thing
PS3 is not 10 times better than PS2 but it emulate PS2 perfectly

Buying a high end phone for games is still a valid reason because you can play everything on the store at the highest settings with no lag both now and the next few years as well as running emulators smoothly. I still have phones from years ago that can't handle today's games properly or even run emulators at all.

Play PUBG on a low end phone and a high end phone the difference is night and day. I personally cannot buy a phone that sucks in the gaming department or a phone that can't handle gaming at the highest possible settings made for it. It's called premium experience

Would you rather play PUBG on phone with clunky controls/bad graphics or play PUBG on pc/console with great graphics and gameplay
