Sam Iwuajoku seals deal with Hilton to build first hotel at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos

Businessman Sam Iwuajoku has succeeded where Chief Harry Akande failed. He has just sealed a deal to build the first-ever hotel around the Murtala Muhammaed Airport Area-the facility will be called, Hilton Lagos Airport!
In a press release to declare the deal, Hilton stated that it is glad to ” announce the signing of a management agreement with Quality Inspection & Testing Services Limited to open a 350 guest-room and suite hotel at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Nigeria. The hotel, which was signed at AHIF 2016 in Rwanda, is set to open in 2023 and joins Hilton’s growing African portfolio of more than 80 properties trading or in the development pipeline, which will see Hilton more than double its presence across Africa in the next 3-5 years.
“With a population of more than 16 million, Lagos is the seventh-fastest growing city in the world and the second largest in Africa, with much of the nation’s wealth and economic activity concentrated here,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide. “Strong growth is forecasted in both domestic and international travellers using Murtala Muhammed International Airport, so this exemplary new hotel will be well placed to meet traveller’s needs, offering an unparalleled level of design, comfort and service.”
The hotel will be situated within close proximity to Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State, as well as the passenger terminals at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, which service travellers flying to hundreds of destinations around the world.
Mr Sam Iwuajoku, Chairman and CEO of QUITS, said: “The signing of the agreement to open Hilton Lagos Airport is testament to a period of exciting growth and development for Lagos. Our plans to build an exceptional hotel at the international airport will revolutionise the traveller experience and also offer a state-of-the-art choice for conferences, meetings and events. We look forward to a very successful collaboration with Hilton Worldwide on this outstanding development.”
Hilton Lagos Airport will comprise 350 guest-rooms, of which 72 are suites, an Executive floor and multiple food and beverage outlets, including; a restaurant serving international cuisine; a speciality restaurant; a fashionable rooftop cocktail bar; and a hip night club. An elevated pool deck, with lavish gardens and a striking horizon pool overhanging the side of the property, provides breath-taking views of the surroundings and a unique leisure experience for an airport property. The hotel will also feature a spa and fitness centre.
Business travellers and event planners will benefit from a wide choice of professional facilities across the 2,600sqm event space, including a 1,350sqm ballroom and 500sqm junior ballroom.
“Hilton Lagos Airport will further solidify our presence in Nigeria and be a great asset to our Hilton Hotels and Resorts properties trading or under development in Africa,” said Jim Holthouser, executive vice president, global brands, Hilton. “We have great confidence in this growing market and are proud to be pioneering exemplary guest experiences across the continent with our range of Hilton brands.”
Hilton is set to more than double its presence in Africa in the next three to five years to more than 80 hotels and is focused on further development prospects across the continent, entering new countries while also growing in areas with an existing Hilton presence.
This signing is in addition to the recent signing of Legend Hotel Lagos Airport, Curio Collection by Hilton, also with QUITS, with an additional 76 guest rooms to be added, bringing the room count up to 130-keys. These properties represent the two most recent hotels signed at Lagos Airport in some time. The Curio hotel, due to open during 2017, will be the first within the airport environment giving guests and airline passengers alike unrivalled ease of access to the airport’s facilities.
Dont count your chicks before they are hatched.

Fact!

There is a way Yorubas polish their mentality and refine them thereby making them better humans.

So much so that whenever they go home they find it difficult integrating with their erstwhile folks and colleagues based in the yeast.

They now begin to look as them as weird. Even the ones at home too start disdaining them and calling them proud.

What about the owner of Largest oil blocks in Africa by an Indigenous African Business man ARTHUR EZE..
The man is no longer a local Champion...

He has covered over 11 African States with his Atlas Oranto petroleum..
Arthur Eze

Description: Net Worth: $5.8 BILLION
Industry: Oil and Gas
Country of Citizenship: Nigeria
Age: 62
Number of Jobs Created: 1,000
Prince Arthur Eze is the Nigerian oil and gas billionaire and
the founder of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, a West African oil
exploration company. With at least 36 oil acreages, it is the
largest holder of oil exploration blocks in Africa. Eze
continues to grow the number of acreages he owns. Two of
his oil blocks alone produce over 100,000 barrels of crude oil
per day. Atlas Oranto Petroleum owns equity and working
interests in several acreages across the Gulf of Guinea,
including Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana,
Mali, Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, and the Republic of
Benin.
Known for his shrewd business acumen, Eze acquires acreages
with significant value on the cheap, and farms out portions of
those oil blocks to international oil companies for
substantially higher amounts, when the values of those blocks
increase.
Eze, or Ezenukpo as he is fondly called, is also a political
kingmaker in his native Anambra State and a major donor to
Nigeria’s ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Eze often
chairs fundraising for political aspirants who he supports, and
gave away close to $100 million to political aspirants in the
last election cycle. He is a prolific and compulsive donor. As
he gets, he gives away. Eze remarked to Ventures Africa that
he isn’t taking anything with him when he passes on so he
will give away as much as he can in the ad hoc manner he
prefers.
How looonatic flatiyeasterners generate stats and figures from their anuses and then put them up as facts is beyond me. Especially where several means of busting their useless facts and figures abound.

How can Arthur Eze own the largest oil fields in Nigeria? How can he be worth $5.8Billion and yet Forbes have never profiled him, not even once?

The above have made nonsense your post altogether.

Olubiyi O. Otegbeye, (popularly known as 'Biyi') B.SC, ACII, MBA, LLB, BL, is a man who likes risks.
Despite the fact that he had a secure job as a staff of United Nigeria Insurance Company Limited (UNIC), he tossed it aside and took a plunge into the murky world of corporate business, by setting up his own insurance firm known as Regency Insurance Company in 1993, less than 10 years after he graduated from University of Lagos, with a BSc. in Insurance. Today, his risk has paid off handsomely.

He now serves as Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Regency Alliance Insurance Company Plc, a consolidated firm, formed from the merger of four other insurance firms: Regency Insurance Plc, Nigerian Alliance Assurance Corporation Limited, Destiny Insurance Co. Limited and Capital Express General Insurance Limited. The merger occurred in 2007, and the new firm was renamed Regency Alliance Insurance Company Plc, with Biyi at the helm of affairs.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute London (ACII). He obtained his law degree from the Lagos State University, and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Prior to setting up Regency Insurance, Otegbeye had received training from the United Nigeria Insurance Company Limited (UNIC), where he worked extensively in Risk Management, General Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Marine and Aviation Divisions. In 1990, he was appointed the General Manager, Capital Asset Insurance Brokers, and less than a year later he was invited to serve as the CEO of Excel Insurance Brokers. Biyi Otegbeye also sits on the board of other firms where he has extensive interests, such as Regency Alliance Insurance Limited, Ghana, RIC Microfinance Bank Limited, RIC Properties and Investment Limited, and RIC Technologies Limited, a leading ICT based security solutions provider for vehicles, offices and homes.

Achievements
2014
The 2014 Bisimoto Honda Odyssey is featured in Top Gear
USA episode 'Cool Cars for Grownups' on July 8, 2014. [3]
Racing against a 2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and a 2014
Mercedes AMG E63 S-model, the Odyssey was recognized as a
great feat in Engineering design by numerous publications. At
the 2014 SEMA show, Ezerioha showcased his company's
newest creations for Honda America and Hyundai. He
showcased two 2015 Honda Fit concepts and a 2015 Hyundai
Sonata. [4] The 2015 Bisimoto Hyundai Sonata has been
recognized as the most powerful Sonata sedan in history with
a record 708 hp, one greater than the Dodge Challenger
Hellcat. [5] The horsepower output would later be tuned up to
888 hp surpassing the team's earlier goal before the show. [6]
2013
Led team at Bisimoto to build a 2014 Honda Odyssey with
1029 hp showcased at the annual SEMA show.[7][8] The van
is featured on Autoweek [9] and Examiner. Bisimoto also
showcased a 1000 hp Genesis coupe at the SEMA show,
dominating reviews by Topgear, [10] Autoblog [11] and
Edmunds. [12] Ezerioha is featured in 2013 book 'Dragster
Drivers'. [13]
2012
Designed and built a 530 HP Porsche 911 Twin Turbo
Cabriolet, showcased at SEMA 2012, Las Vegas, Nevada, in
the NGK Spark Plugs, booth. This was the world's first drive-
by-wire air cooled Porsche engine, with CAN BUS added as
well. His team also built a 602 WHP 2013 Hyundai Elantra
GT, for Hyundai (HMA), showcased at SEMA 2012, Las Vegas,
Nevada. At that time, the Bisimoto Elantra was touted as one
of the most powerful Hyundais in the world. Honda invited
Bisimoto Engineering and DSO Eyewear/MAD Industries to
take part in the 2013 Honda Accord Project Vehicle Program.
[14] His 401 HP 2013 Honda Accord Coupe Grand Touring V6
retains the eco-friendly attributes of the Earth Dreams concept,
while Bisimoto engine and exhaust enhancements increase the
V-6 power output to an amazing 401 hp. [15]
2011
Following Honda's launch of a new grassroots racing program
they invited three independent vehicle tuners to build and
display their Civic Si concepts at the SEMA Show in Las
Vegas, NV. Tuners were asked to push the limits of
performance and style with their builds, and the vehicles on
display to demonstrate the personalized potential of the Si
Coupe and Sedan. Following the previous year’s amazing CR-
Z build, Bisimoto Engineering delivered a 1004 hp version of
the Civic Si Coupe featuring a turbocharged K24Z7 engine for
American Honda's new 9th generation Civic Si, showcased at
SEMA 2011,. [16] He also designed and built a 771 hp twin
turbocharged watercooled Porsche 911, with a 997 Porsche
gearbox in an older 1976 widebody 911 for NGK Sparkplugs,
showcased at SEMA 2011.
2010
2010 seemingly marked a shift in Ezerioha's company
philosophy as they looked to focus more on engine and
vehicle design and less on racing. He built a 533 hp
turbocharged hybrid engine for American Honda's CR-Z, which
was showcased at SEMA 2010, Las Vegas, NV. The "one of its
kind" build received rave reviews from publications such as
Autoblog [17] and Topspeed [18] Ezerioha piloted his Honda
Insight to one event win.
