dcitizen1: Lagbaja dissappointed me for refusing to perform in omisore iyiola's campaign rally based on flimsy reason of alleged assassination of his mentor bola ige by omisore. He should have jst said that he is an apc member and stopped deceiving and deluding himself. When bola ige was hobnobbing with the power tha be, why did him call his mentor to order? When his mentor accepted an offer to serve in a portfolio dat the lack the requisite competencies, why didnot he call his mentor to order? When his mentor promised that he will turn stone to bread when he accepted a juice appointment, why did he call his mentor to order? When his mentor could not account for 21million naira under his leadership as a minister of power, why did he call his mentor to call? Even his mentor has a whole lot of political baggage and moral bankruptcy and his misaction has cost the country a whole lot of misfortune. Labgaja indictment of omisore as a murderer is laughable and ridiculous considering an educated folks like him. He should have learn in government text book or political science course that it is only the competent court of justice that has the power to pronounce omisore guilty. Omisore based on court pronouncement is innocent and those who did not agree with the judgment should go and hug he transformer or better appeal to the almighty God for justice. We must allow our democracy to grow as it is done in advanced country of this world. Trial by media is un healthy for our democratic growth and development. We must allow judiciary institution to grow and become stronger. We must not allow our partisanship or misguided utterance to run down our nascent democracy. Lagbaja should grow and live above board and stop being petty or partisan. This is democracy! not demonstration of craziness. Nigerains are wiser now. WE NEED CRITICAL RE-AWAKENING
IN YOUR REGION.

My fellow Northern brothers, sisters,fathers and mothers. I greet you all in the name of allah. I sympathise with you all for the current ugly situation that has ravaged this part of our land and i know one day all this killing will be history.

I write this piece to you all to prick your conscience, and bring to you fore things that bothers me as a brother.


How did this part of our country get to this level? From history your political leaders have ruled this country the most and i cant seem to to understand why this region still remain low in terms of literacy level, exposure and enlightenment. There are about ten million almajiris roaming the street for years before this present Government gave them education your women suffer from vvf, most of the beggers around the country are from your region. In any federal examination, your people perform low and the issue of federal character seem to have been included in the constitution because of people from your region because scores are brought low to accomodate your people.


Is it true that you have this mentality of ”born to rule”? Since my tender years i’ve always heared of this. Pls if this is true how do you think this will work in a nation that comprises of different regions and what prompted this mentality and how do you think this will not bring problem. But if this is not true, why not show the whole nation that you don’t care who rules but the development, peace and co-existence of everybody in this nation. The utterances, attitude and body language of some of your political leaders does not portray you in a good light and i think many of them should be cautioned.

How did you get to this level of insecurity where our people(your people in particular) are being slaughtered like chickens. When it started, many of you kept quiet. Today bomb is like a playing toy in the hands of those who i think are enemies to your region but was wrongly seen as fighting for the course of the people hence the silence when it started.

What are you all doing(especcially the political leaders) to enlighten your people of so many ignorant things. Lets accept the insurgents are made up of different people who are bent on destroying this nation but what warrants unecessary protests when another country miles are away are having troubles. Why are the muslims in your region different from the ones downsouth here. I just cant understand. Pls your people need serious enlightenment.

Many of my brothers down south here have always pushed for the break-up of this entity called Nigeria. But as an ardent believer in one Nigeria i dont agree so. But i must sound it clear to you my brothers, and fathers, you have not done enough to keep this nation as one.

Many of the deeds of your people have realy plunged this nation into chaos and at the brink of collapse. And my believe and that of others like me is shaking seriously. If this nation collapses many belive that your region will be the worst hit. Why not truly and sincerely work on the rebuilt, strenghtening and development of the human capital of your people. By so doing there will be peace, love, development and peaceful co-existence.

I sincerely LOVE YOU all and wish we all work together irrespective of region, ethnicity, religion and political affilliations to make this country very, very great.

alextayo: I met one sweet pretty lady here last year. We were actually planning to settle down when irreconcilable differences about religious belief reared its ugly head. I am a conservative Catholic (and can NEVER change for any denomination) while she is Pentecostal. She wants me to meet her pastor for courtship approval which i dont really subscribe to but intend to do since a lady has right over wedding plans. Then then took things further by declaring that

1) she wont attend my church after wedding because she is also an active member in her Pentecostal church

2) I will leave my Catholic faith and join her church because she wants her husband to support her future calling. (future calling my ass)

3)lastly she wants the kids to also attend her church.

How can I, a staunch catholic, Choirmaster and Organist be going west and my family will be going east on sunday to worship God...the family that prays together stays together.....that the end of our story

Elder brothers should be careful how they behave.

Before now, there was a perceived calm in the family of the Okoyes(P’square’s family) but from all indication it was not so. The rift in the family has long been with them only that it escalated and came into limelight in recent times shortly before and after the wedding of Peter okoye and Lola omotayo.

I wont waste time going down history lane how this internal rift among this family members started but i want to point out some errors that has made this problem to have gotten to this extent.

I can understand their mother’s stand in terms of her disapproval of Lola Omotayo as a bride to Peter. One of the reasons being her tribe and the other her age. Many mothers in Nigeria especially those in her generation are so tribe conscious hence her decision. But in everything that has happned i blame Jude Okoye who is the eldest among the brothers. This is because as the eldest, he is the one that is suppose to try and see how he can unite the family without prjudice or sentiments.

Yes the mother never liked the wife to be, but she is dead now and him not accepting her and even shunning their wedding is totally imature. This shows that maturity does not necessarily have to do with age.

As a first born, i use to let my younger ones know that our parents willl one day leave this world, that we will face life entirely on our own and their limitations should not be our own also, that what ever they believed can be modified or changed.
As one who is well exposed, he would have tried his best to see how he can convince the mother that this is 21st century and things shouldnt be done the way it was done those days. Maybe by this the mother would have had a change of heart. But from all indication he did not.

Even though i don’t encourage paying evil with evil, i think Peter and Lola are too justified not to have attended Jude Okoye’s wedding. He got it all wrong when he refused attending peter’s wedding which changed nothing but fueled the problem.


This is a lesson to all families to know that tribalism is something they should do away with. That some of our parents beliefs should be scrutinise and some should not be encouraged or continued. It baffles me how people believe in God and despise his creation from another region or race.
