1vandragon: Is there any government at the centre that does not construct roads?
Has road construction become some sort of golden standard? Roads that are awarded to cronies without due process?
Who doesn't know that road projects have become one of the easier roots to siphon funds. People see the road and tend to forget if it is worth the value.
Based on an independent private analysis, the lagos-calabar coastal road could have been constructed for about 30% less the present quoted price. So, who is misleading who?
Pdp that built over 14 power stations did not make this much noise. The same PDP didn't commission a single 100klm of road in whole of southern Nigeria. |

If PDP could use 16- yrs in Power- without a Single Road 🛣️ Projects to Commission,All those Leaders should be in Prison by Now - What happened to ALL THE BUDGETS -MONEY FOR 16- YEARS ⁉️ But at least,we can See What APC government is doing on ROAD INFRASTRUCTURES Development - Across Nigeria Infrastructures Obedient - the defender of Falsehoods, how Now? PDP didn't commission a single 100klm road in the whole southern Nigeria for 16years, it baffled me when someone from the south is complaining about the construction of coaster road. |

The court should have considered the sensitivity of the case
What should happen to all the aspirants contesting under NDC now? Ignorance is not an excuse in the court of law, we have lazy and opportunist people as politicians they don't do finding before jumping sheep. Whatever that happens to NDC is a normal thing. |

CharlesCNG: Scripture also warns against speaking presumptuously in the name of God. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" (Exodus 20:7). Few things are more dangerous than attributing to God what God has not said.
Pastors are free to have political opinions. Christians are free to support candidates. But no man should confuse his preference with prophecy. Exactly, most them claim they hear from God and I believe God is not that less busy to be talking to a Nigeria pastor or Imam with the way they talk. |

CharlesCNG: The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway: Why I Believe Tinubu Is Building for 2027 and Beyond
Every generation is remembered by the infrastructure it dared to build.
The First Republic gave us the Niger Bridge. The military era gave us the Third Mainland Bridge. Today, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on what may ultimately become one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Nigeria's history—the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
Critics see a road.
Visionaries see an economic corridor.
Stretching across Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, the coastal highway is designed to connect millions of Nigerians, open up tourism, facilitate trade, stimulate industrial clusters and unlock the immense economic potential of Nigeria's coastline.
This is not merely a transportation project. It is a nation-building project.
Just as the Interstate Highway System transformed America and modern expressways transformed China, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway has the potential to redefine commerce and regional integration in Southern Nigeria.
Great nations are not built by leaders who think only about the next election. They are built by leaders willing to invest in the next generation.
No project of this magnitude comes without controversy. There will be debates over cost, alignment and execution. That is normal in every country. But history rarely remembers those who opposed transformative projects. It remembers those who had the courage to build them.
That is why, when I look at the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, I do not just see concrete and asphalt.
I see vision.
I see legacy.
And I see one more reason why I believe Bola Ahmed Tinubu is building not just for today, but for 2027 and beyond. With the coastal road alone many town will turn to city and many villages will be upgraded to town, connecting states create more development. |
