Click on Shapefile
Change the name to your desirable name (Road)
Change the Feature type to Polyline

Go to New, then Shapefile

Then Right click on the folder you want to create the line Feature layer

Then you connect to the folder you want to create the point feature layer and then ok

Then click on connect to folder

Line Digitization
In digitizing line data such as road and river from a base map, you Click on catalogue icon

India has successfully put a record 104 satellites from a single rocket into orbit on Wednesday smashing a record previously held by Russia which launched 39 satellites in a single mission in June 2014.
The rocket took off at 9:28am (03:58 GMT) and cruised at a speed of 27,000km per hour, ejecting all the 104 satellites into orbit in around 30 minutes, according to ISRO.
The rocket's main cargo was a 714kg satellite for earth observation, but it was also loaded with 103 smaller "nano satellites", weighing a combined 664kg.
Nearly all of the nano satellites are from other countries, including Israel, Kazakhstan, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and 96 from the United States.
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has often hailed India's budget space technology, in which the country in 2014 launched four foreign satellites into orbit with a cost less than that to make the Hollywood film "Gravity".
Now the thing that bothers me most is that India which is a developing country as Nigeria claims to be can boost of this feat. Then I ask myself when are we going to achieve a great feat like this.

Good evening everyone, it's been a while we had a training session online. We have been busy carrying out our executive training and preparing for a larger GIS training class which is coming up soon in Lagos.

Click on town and then you can start digitizing the towns by clicking once on the points you want to select.
Then you save edit

Click on start editing
Click on create feature

Then click Ok
To digitizing, you zoom to the points on the map, then click on Editor

Click on Edit and Select the coordinate system been use (relating to lesson on selecting coordinate system)

Click on Shapefile
Change the name to your desirable name (Town)

Go to New, then Shapefile

Then Right click on the folder you want to create the Point Feature layer

Then you connect to the folder you want to create the point feature layer and then ok

Then click on connect to folder

Point Digitization
In digitizing point data such as town from a base map, you Click on catalogue icon

Digitizing
We will start today from digitizing the base map

Then Click on Update Georeferencing

Do same for 4 points on the map.
Note: After inputting the 1st coordinate and clicking ok, the map would disappear. To view the map click on a globe icon that’s indicates full extent.

Enter the coordinates
Then Click Ok
