P1346 Variable Valve Timing Sensor / Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range /
Performance
The camshaft position sensor is about 6 inches to the left of the oil filter when you're looking at the car from the front. Your mechanic may have bumped it when he was changing the oil filter.
That code seems a bit unnerving if the sensors were not bumped or loose. If you clear it an it comes back on, you could have a timing chain issue (stretched) or sprocket issue or a camshaft issue or just a bad sensor. You might need the timing adjusted. |
