To my fellow farmers raising turkey for December, it is good to mix some chicks with those poults in order to teach them how to eat at their early stage(not that those poults will not eat but will be very slow). Again let give them good heating at their early stage because if this is not in place they will be climbing on one another and those below will die because of weight of those ones at the top will be acting downward which will make them to die. Again we need to understand fowl pox is the major problem to turkey and coccidosis. Pls let us observe FOWL POX VACCINE at 5 or 6weeks old for our turkeys better still use POX CURE for them for good 5days. Again let us use good anticoccidostat drug for them like coccifor, prococ, amprolium, vazuril, centre dicox, intracox etc. Anticoccidostat drug should start from week 2 and also use antibiotic drug alongside.Sometimes fowl pox vaccine do fail and whenever we experience this then we should switch to POX CURE |

To my fellow farmers having pullets at hand, coccidosis is the major disease that do disturb them from week 2 upward. Pls use good anticoccidostat drugs for them and ensure you do not give them sweet feed like SUPER STARTER. Perhaps if any farmer is having serious coccidosis disease problem at hand let him/her use liquid anticoccidostat drug like vazuril, intra cox, centre dicox etc but don't use KEPCOX because its not active. Use 2mls of any above drugs to 1 litre of water, you can the measurement for the quantity of water you want to give them and pls use for 5-6days. At 7th day you can place them on glucose to boost their energy. 1 Like |
