vowiski: According to Microsoft, Cortana would also completely change the social world; it is designed to be socially intelligent. For example, you can set a reminder on Cortana to ask a friend about something, and anytime you initiate an interaction with your friend, either through call or text, the reminder pops up. Judging by the way Cortana works, it should trigger a big rivarry between Apple’s Siri and Google Now.

How Does Cortana Works?

Basically, there are two ways to use the program; by voice or by search. Using the voice function to seek answers from Cortana, she gives you a verbal response. If you search by typing your question, Cortana remains silent but provide your answers in text format.

Cortana will replace the search function in Windows Phone and should appear as a Live Tile on your device.

The program is built on Bing’s prediction engine, which has access to Tellme’s natural language processing, Microsoft’s cloud processing power and Satori knowledge repository.

Cortana will learn about you and keep the memories in her Notebook. When you are silent, she would be silent and when you are busy, she would be busy as well.

Digging Dip

Cortana is set to break the boundaries of limitation as Microsoft declares it the “best thing ever.” She will combine the intuitive UI of Apple’s Siri and Google Now analysis and then set the pace further apart from both of them.


Just as your secretary understands you, Cortana would be doing same in a digital style. She would understand you and take note of events in your location; all of these are completely based on your preferences.

Goodnews, she would be available to third party developers and this further enhances her intelligence. Microsoft has already shown how Cortana works with Facebook and Skype, the results were astonishing and should usher in a new world of endless possibilities.

Release Date

Valto: the 4gb is deceptive. its actually 2gb for 2months. Still good for an Android user who is not a heavy downloader.

vowiski: Nokia X looks like a massive success and Microsoft has decided to design and release Nokia X2 which runs on the same heavily modified version of Android. The UI is pretty much the same, retaining Windows Phone UI but granting access to a large number of apps and services on the Android market.
