We all can feel the hit that has been brewing this few days by netizens, between 30bg and FC for having WizKid and davido on the same album which was very rare. kudos to odumodublack for this one.

I have always told my OGs way back in the early years when both started that this two were going to compete for a long time just like Messi and Ronaldo, Biggie and 2pac.. because of how different they are in personality, lifestyle and even different sounds.

Without further ado here are the difference between wizkid and davido based on the industry machine album released by odumodublack.


DAVIDO CARRIES AFROBEAT WHILE WIZKID SINGS POP/RNB WITH LITTLE OR NO AFROFUSSION

I have never seen WizKid as a genuine AFROBEAT singer, that doesn't mean he don't sing afro songs he does but from is early days while at eme, holla at your boy, gidi girl, I love my baby and lots more you can tell bro always have a high mindsets to make songs for the bigger audience (international stage) and not for monkeys living on trees in Africa.(joking)

while davido on the other end for someone born in Atlanta he has always had that afro sound on any song he got. Ko Ko Ko Ko ko problem jam soko..like come on bro. It's just so funny at the same time hot that you can easily vibe to it because he always keeps it real to the mother tongue. AFRO SOUND.. davido is one of the major artist that single handedly carried afro beat to the stage it is today.. no disrespect to the legend that was there before but the truth just need to be told.


DAVIDO MAKES HIT SONGS, WHILE WIZKID MAKE SONGS WITH MUCH MORE DURABILITY

if you want a song that can blow up in the whole of Africa from the moment you drop it get obo on it, he will deliver certainly because of that superb afro sound he's gifted with, but the fact still remains, the life span of a hit song in Nigeria isn't more than 2 weeks, but since it's baddest you get a little extra. Maybe 2 to 3 months.

because of how saturated the Nigeria entertainment industry is, various artist dropping songs every day if you think it's a lie ask dammy krane..bro releases album every new week.

As for WizKid his songs I find out are much more durable like getting plays for months and even years to come because of that pop and rnb sound. It can easily be DJ mixed in clubs, relaxation centers along with some international songs that are ever green. That's the high standards I was referring to, the way he can easily blend with pidgin and Yoruba and still come out foreign. the song doesn't even need to be a hit in fact most of his songs are not, but still get steady plays. now you can see I am not partial but just been honest..go check the verse he did on odumodublack album. Blast!!! Till today they still vibing come closer in clubs.

So my people, this musicians are different that's what makes them stand out and they are legend already. We just need to keep it all real and enjoy all they do. I know we all have our particular fav but hey just enjoy the moment.
