Nice car the ones with front bench row seat are hard to come by..

True, beyond that most Japanese car lovers in Nigeria do not fancy driving a sedan with the feeling of a first generation Sienna or other minivans with the column gear shifter design. However, most American GM sedans at the time including the Ford crown victoria their state trooper and police interceptor vehicles, came with that design on them, and Toyota hoped to appeal to such customers.

I concur

very sweet ride right there

Yes boss, with a good mileage for an ancient vehicle.

Lol. Engineering mistake. Na the time Toyota been no get sense na when them make this kind motor.

Make them try am again, them no go see market.

I like the design for exactly that reason; its unconventional and believe me, if the Mercedes sedans with this same column gear lever designs still enjoy patronage, i strongly believe toyota would still have made sales. They may just have limited it to the avalon model and made it an optional design for those interested.

Never seen a Toyota interior this ugly

I find it glorious. Americans loved it.
