GAZZUZZ:DON'T MIND MY PREDICTIVE TEXTING actually meant "does have". Are u implying u don't have a 9mm? Or is it an AK? |
G.Agofure Motors gave their drivers a standing order to Avoid that bypass. Some of them risk it. But as soon as they join the bypass they immediately (codedly) disconnect their speed limiting device. Then dey apologize to passengers in advance, probably explaining that it's too late In d day to penetrate Benin city since they still have the lenghtier part of the Journey to Lagos ahead of them. After that na 140km/h, they won't slow down, dey make dangerous over taking, dey won't even stop at a check point unless they see the police Nissan police pickup branded "safer highways". Incidentally, those ones are hardly ever along that route. Maybe it's just me but if u don't have a 9mm in ur car, don't pass. I can bet Gazzuzz one. Besides the guy is meanly bearded. Dem seff fit dey fear am. |
nurey:Police aided robbers!!! There's a spot where police, road safety officers and some other uniformed men converge. These guys are just before that spot. They're usually mobile. Sometimes in an over loaded audi 80( u go fear the kind speed wey that car get) or golf 3 wagon. Some are on motorcycles; all pretending to be fellow commuters. The bike guys will tell u there's a robbery ahead and when u stop they'll all descend on everyone trying to make a "U" turn. When they re done robbing and beating passengers they tell u police is ahead waiting for u. Even last Thursday, we bought Calculusx sienna and just wanted to risk the bypass to join Benin from the Ajip axis we were warned to turn back. We quietly obeyed. If u're travelling with Mr Gazzuzz u no need to fear that road. His grace is special . But I won't risk it. I'd rather wade thru Benin city. |
nakoks:I dey avoid am like plague after the experience I had there. |
GAZZUZZ:U no dey fear oh...that notorious bypass. |

dayus12:I really am sorry. But It's not an argument. Im sure under better circumstances, the cars would serve better. Is ur company willing to sell? |
Day169:Ure very correct my brother. A friend in Lagos owns an Octavia and got a Superb dis April. U seldom see the car listed for sale or dumped at a mechanic garage. Usually if the car isn't handled by a qualified tech, the car ends up screwed up. It just doesn't have as much power as the Jetta, but it's a quiet lovely ride albeit. The Stallion motors Auto service centre usually bills Nigerians overmuch for repairs. But some of their trained mechs can do the job for less cost if u know how to get to them. |
dayus12:I don't market for Skoda™ or Stallion Motors. I'll gladly advertise for Skoda™ if I have my way. Firstly, they do not qualify as scrap. The Octavia has one of the most durable body panels which contributes to the safety of the occupants and is only comparable to Volvo and other German models. You rarely feel the impact of an accident and the body may only end up with a dent but hardly ever mangled, at least for the accidents I've witnessed. The word scrap doesn't describe the car at all. Oroz sold a Skoda Octavia that had a right fender impact sufficient to prompt deployment of the airbags. Please take a look at the car and and tell me what u think. The fender was not replaced. Here's the link : https://www.nairaland.com/3628641/2009-scoda-Octavia-sale-portharcourt. Engine is usually a simple 1.6 or 1.8 Tsi water cooled turbo engine. There's the TDI Diesel engine variant too. I don't know much bout the Diesel engines. I do know that Nestoil has a fleet of Skoda Octavia cars that work daily. So does Julius Berger. Your company has 3? I'm inclined to think it's not Octavia that has the problem. |

oyienootieno:FYI and for the record: 1) Skoda Octavia is not crap! 2)It's actually less complicated than MB if you can "afford" an adequate maintenance schedule. 3)No one should run away from the Skoda brand or the Octavia. i)What model year of Skoda Octavia did u buy? ii)Did u buy it new or used? You're actually the 3rd person i'm reading such a complaint from. The other two are grossly poor vehicle handlers and lack even the basic maintenance ability. I know persons who've driven their Skoda Octavia cars from 2007 till date with no desire to relinquish the vehicles. Others have used and sold theirs and the buyers still cruising em without isSHOES. The Skoda Superb is even more a delight to own. But that's a discussion for another thread. AutojoshNG thanks for the heads up, plus including some of your insightful threads. You're one in 6million. ![]() |
