I joined this platform in September because I was trying to figure out timelines for uk visa applications due to the fact that every single person that applied same time as myself and family got theirs within 7 days and we hadn’t gotten ours back.
I decided to stick around just to be able to offer my own advise whenever I see anyone that may need it as I know their are many genuine travelers who are looking to just visit and return and not default on immigration rules.

Not once have I read where anyone said for a self employed individual not to use their business account. Which btw this is one of the compulsory documents for Self employed people.
What I have actually read here is :
- you shouldn’t use business account as your primary account for personal transactions.
- you are supposed to put in both business and personal accounts- your business account shows the transactions within the business and also acts as a link to your personal account where you are likely to pay your salaries into.

Their are basic rules but not all will apply for the other. Some rules change based on individual circumstances.

For example, I am a frequent traveler( traveled 7 times within the last year and 90% of the visit was to Europe) and not my first Uk visa, self employed. I put in my business accounts and multiple personal accounts.

- I sometimes make personal payments from my business accounts such as payment for foods, snacks, travel expenses, restaurants , veterinary care for the animals at home, clothing outlets etc

- I pay myself from the business account.

So you see in my case that it was fine as well as because I put in a financial schedule explaining personal expenses from the business account and further highlighting payments from my business accounts to my personal accounts. I submitted 2 personal account statements.

I also put in my teenage children‘s bank account that showed their own expenses and moneys received from my personal accounts.

Even though you seek for advise here, it is important to understand each person’s circumstance and also tweak to suit your own personal situation.

This same platform has adviced against applying with Business account. Because business money is not personal money to be used for travel. The advice that has been given here is to pay yourself a salary from your business acct to your personal acct and apply using the personal acct. So why is the goal post always shifting?

He should have added both business and personal accounts since he claimed to be a self employed, the VO would like to check the inflow and outflow of the business account and compare to his salary account.

They are just fabricating reasons for denials.

My husband was denied visa based on his personal financial circumstances as a business owner

We submitted his bank statement showing salary his business pays him monthly. With payslip from d business. And the personal acct clearly showing “salary” monthly . He was refused based on d fact that they don’t know how much the business earns.
I thought if he submitted business acct statement they will say “why is he using business funds for personal travel”

Also they are saying he has no family ties. He is travelling alone . Leaving behind his kids and wife. Marriage certificate and kids birth certificate with pictures to show he is a family man was submitted.
Pictures of business activities was also submitted.

Pls where did we go wrong??

Hello house pls I need your advice

My sister and her husband both have 2 yr UK visitors visa.
They have travelled together for holiday and returned.
Now they applied for their 3 kids who have never travlled before (ages 7 to 12 yrs old kids)
The kids were denied on the basis that "when the parents applied for their own visa, they never stated that they intend to travel with their kids using the visa they were given"
Pls advice the way forward. Does this mean that my sister and her husband have to wait till their own visa expires in the nxt 1.5yrs ish, before the kids can apply again? And then the whole family (mum, dad and 3 kids) will apply together?

Unfortunately these people are not too smart.
I will advice for your next trial, if you can just withdraw what you need to spend for the month (NGN 1m) into another spending account. So your account balance shows only 1 inflow and min outflow per month.

Explain my salary? I explained what I do, and how much I make per month - 6,500. My bank statement shows inflow of a bi-monthly payment of 3,250 with the trx reference showing my employer. The own account transfer shows the money was sent to my account carrying the same name, I didn’t attach my Nigerian account. I spend a lot, i couldn’t be explaining everything in my Naira account hence why I didn’t include it, also, I had huge amount in the Wise account, they should be able to make a decision with that.

If my husband is my sponsor for my visa application, and I submit his savings account that has a healthy balance, do I need to show the origin of the funds into his savings account?

Pls is it ok as an adult to have a sponsor.
Like a mum or dad sponsoring the trip.
The person has a job, but not too high paying for self sponsorship

Your travel history to the US and Dubai is a plus, but the recent US visa refusal and lack of structured income weaken your Canadian application. ₦5 million is decent, but IRCC looks for consistent financial ties and stability like regular income or active business records.
But did your US visa renewal refusal come after an interview, or was it just through the drop box? If it was drop box, it might have been a document or eligibility issue, not a strong negative. But if you were interviewed and still denied, IRCC may see that as more serious. Either way, it’s smart to improve your financial documentation before applying to Canada as canada respect usa visa.

Having N10m in your husband's account is not enough if you have no personal income or travel history. IRCC looks at your own ties not just your sponsor’s money. No structured income, weak business proof, and no travel record = likely refusal. Fix your profile first or wait.

My visa was approved, however that of my spouse denied. We would re-apply for his.

We were/are both first time applicants. I am on this platform to gain knowledge on the right thing to do.
I won't be here asking questions and wasting people's time if i "know the right thing to do"
I am not refusing to present his personal statement, it's just that as advised on this platform, there are credits from multiple sources which is not advisable to use such an acct statement. Hence me saying "the personal acct is not in good state".

He was refused for not presenting his personal acct statement.. here again you are reapplying and still refusing to produce this and now claiming business account statement-
You know the right thing to do.

It will take more than 2 wks for your visa to be ready, why not make your date like 3 wks to a month's time?
