vankelvin: Whether Semi Arid, villages, cities or poverty, the entire Kenya country is an open defeacating heaven
Kenya is not on top list bro..your country is..Bythe way have come to realize that Ghananians are fake..fake in everything..I used to hold ya country highly but something is not right...
we know folks talk of corruption in Kenya an Naija..yes its there but we dont kill our people with it.we dont call the entire village to accept bride...you dont pay 10 guys to process ya stuff..just pay 1 person..these guys are your future clients..dont try to murder them..Anyway have come to realise the only ths measurable in Africa is what we can see..period..stuff about numbers on paper are deceiving..
samorobo: Good you said luxury. Luxury is for the rich not the poor. The rich does t have to reduce their standard just cos they are in poor Africa. Let the poor hustle hard and joy the rich to enjoy this stuff instead of whining like Marxist.
vankelvin: You surely will not see it on billboards in a country where open defeacation is normalized. Over 70% of your people are doing it in the north
North is semi-arid villages..you want to compare with defeacating in the city ..really man...In Turkana you can have an entire kilometer for yourself
GeneralDae: You are right, but looking at it another way. When we build these new expensive places for the super rich and they migrate, then the prices in former areas would reduce to the level of the middle class who would then occupy these areas. Slowly the poor would come around in time.
True an that whats happens in most cities..In Nairobi our Eastland used to be middle class back days ...Now its a passage to other flashy estates. Actually most rich guys in Kenya had a connection with Eastlands
IGpro1: its not an eyesore. It's what your eyes saw and you always want to see. Imagine govt harnessing the tourism potential of makoko. Like reinforcing those shacks and building a narrow bridge through it, it's almost like a whole city sitting on water. Makoko is inhabited by foreigners, like 90% tabs their main biz, is fishing.
Again makoko is a thriving city, no matter the sight.
Dude unless ya a white dude just feeling good looking at poor people suffering..aah nope...Ths slum tourism is for sadists
samorobo: UAE development is pegged to the world not their oil money. It’s a global developers playground cos it’s offer enticing incentives like zero taxes owning to the fact that it is one big free trade zone. So yeah it’s a win-win for the developers.
In fact let me shock you, some of those tall scrapes you see in Dubai are funded by big real estate companies in Nigeria. Nigerian projects are all over Dubai. Who doesn’t live free things. I would I want to invest in Nigeria with unstable economy and still pay wicked taxes when I can go build more in Dubai and enjoy so many free incentives that comes along with it. You get my point now .
An thats why i dont blame Naijas investing here in Kenya ...you invest where you think ya gonna get higher returns for your money...
theenchanter: that's ur own perception. I can't deal with it for u.
U guys always shout that Nigeria has oil and u don't see what they're building with oil money, now u see what they're building with it, u're still complaining about it.
Is ur stupidity not stupid?
calm your titties chanter...when we talk of development in africa we ain ttalking of creating Dubai luxury like stuff..first we feed, cloth an educate our people..then we create elysium
samorobo: This is not the only land reclamation project going on in Lagos, there are so many,it’s just that EAc is the most publicized.
Lagos is divided into two: ; mainland and island. The latter is mostly purported to be for the rich, that is not to say they aren’t fancy neighborhoods on the mainland . Lagos a city of 20m has limited land spaces and has to start thinking of the future Most developers wouldn’t want to move to the mainland plus in my opinion land space on the mainland is almost consumed. Now on the the island. Vi,ikoyi, lekki is gradually choking developers have the choice of going north of Lagos(Epe axis and the likes) that has vast expanse of land stretching all the way to ogun state but then again it’s very far from the typical Lagos, almost as if you are traveling out of Lagos to a very remote neighboring village so they are down to reclaiming land to accommodate more taller vertical structures or being patient enough to wait for dangote mega projects in epe axis to spur economic changes that can attract people to the other remote part of Lagos. Already alaro city has done that (their projects literally shares boundaries with dangote refineries and fertilizer plant) and recently a new city called “Isimi Lagos” .Already I think the redline metro train that is nearing completion is stretching all the way to that axis, connecting Epe(dubbed as new Lagos ) to old Lagos. Also the lekki regional road that is ongoing would connect that place to the $2bn 4th mainland bridge U/C ( purported to be the longest bridge in Africa) . All this is to open up that place for easy transit of people and businesses. Once dangote free trade zone is completed ,alongside lekki deep seaport this will employ people that would need places to reside as the distance from old Lagos would be too far to transit everyday. They way you attract businesses as well as people and that where Alaro and isimi Lagos comes in to absorb this demand in a strategically planned community.
The old part of Lagos would need to keep reclaiming to meet up demand of top global business district and that where eko Atlantic, ocean city, illubirin ,IIBC(international imperial business city) and the likes comes in. They need land reclamation for this and that why their projects are strategically built around already existing rich neighborhoods like CI,ikoyi, lekki and the likes.
so those guys just want create kinda of elysium for the rich... My idea was why not use the money used to reclaim an start with reclaiming makoko coz its an eyesore for lagos..
samorobo: What is qui vive? Do you mean quiver? Pls write properly olodo hoodrat.
And yes you are my little plaything. I derived pleasure from manipulate you and subjecting you to my wicked antics. You just like one classmate of mine in high school whom I constantly bullied and he kept coming just to act strong but deep down he was dying inside and always complained to people how he hated coming to school to face my verbal bullying. He was lucky to have switch school the following section else he would have lasted to w en graduate out of junior school with us. Dude was considering suicide. I dealt the hell with him.
an you think you did well eeh...ya need to be shot on both legs sammy...
theenchanter: u think it's the UAE govt that's building those new cities? In case u don't know, it's their private sectors that's building most of what u see there except public infrastructures.
whether it private or govt funded you get my point..UAE got cash an lot of cash..Nigeria is an african country trying to make it...So i thought that cash can be used to fund more useful stuff (development)
theenchanter: even though I don't really like the new development. But one thing u should know is that Nigeria is not kenya. These are private sector projects, and any private organization can build anything, anytime and anywhere provided the terms and conditions are met with d govt.
There's nothing like finish this, before starting this here cos it's not a govt entity.
By the way, eko Atlantic, like every other cities around the world can't be "finished" or have u finished building Nairobi?
UAE is like the country, Dubai is a city in UAE. UAE has lands, why is Dubai reclaiming lands?
ahh yes kenya also got private sector projects just like Nigeria anyway was asking about ths coz UAE got lot of cash to spend..seeing naija spend lot on reclaiming land whle country got free space doesnt make sense
theenchanter: have u heard about the new city development next to eko Atlantic that was unveiled last week?
It's called ocean city Lagos ....... And it's awful. (My opinion)
I agree...first finish eko then move to Ocean city..bythe way why waste money to reclaim land on sea while Nigeria got lot of free land..its not like its UAE or something
Mkenya2019: Why are Ghanaian urban dwellers openly defecating - worst on beaches. In Kenya it's mostly in remote semi arid wilderness. In Ghana it's urban areas - which is why you have had serious Cholera problem.
actually i have issue with ths called African urbanization..What kind of urbanization where folks poo on streets...better stay in the village
gallivant: When we see open defecation posters on Kenyan roads we will know we have reached a critical point. Otherwise it's too disgusting of a topic to discuss. You can use the energy and time to post development.
Shma: Dumbo, I'm not mitsq or Rvp. This "average height" propaganda can't change my take. I will tell you what you are, based on the facts - and what we've seen. There is a 90% chance that You're a hobbit, Ghana is the land of them. Hobbits dwell in ghana. Hobbit is your logo.
bro we just accommodated them on taller range so to make them feel good..There was training i attended where i was taught on how to cushion stuff
