Ned4delux:I already stated up there bro that they do send hard copy, that was how I was able to sort mine out. |
takin35:You are welcome. Best of luck bro. |
Diamond1960:@segzy201 I think you should try Diamond1960's step, it's very pragmatic, I told you how I sorted mine out, I didn't have to go through that route besides, the school I finished from, it would be very difficult for one to get the registrar/academic office to send such email.....Best of luck bro.... Cheers! |
takin35:Awwwwww sorry bro, guess no one responded because the issue has been explicitly discussed in the previous pages. Try to check the backlog.... However, For a visitors visa, you need the following docs: 1) International passport 2) Completed visa application form with two passport photographs (White background) 3) Yellow card 4) Letter of Introduction from employer or Self letter of introduction if you are self employed 5) Bank Statement 6) Pay slips 7) Valid hotel booking Flight reservation 9) Visa application fees 10)Copy of work ID card You can also include any other supporting documents you have (if any) to boost your chances. All the best.....Cheers!!! |

Diamond1960:You are welcome bro, yes you can use it but just make sure you print it in coloured, front and back page, and probably on a white conqueror paper cheers!!!. |
segzy201:SAQA sends both hard and soft copy of verification document but the hard copy takes about a month or more before it arrives in Nigeria hence you have to follow up with your school to tell you when the hard copy arrives and keep calling and mailing SAQA to request that they send another verification document, if possible. Make sure you include your school email address in the email you send to SAQA. Had the same problem, they told me that they will send another email but they didn't, eventually, the hard copy arrived in Nigeria and my institution responded......Cheers. |
muhaogunlo:Please gurus in the house, where does one apply for 6 MONTHS SA medical visa in Nigeria, VFS or South Africa High Commission? Not sure if it's a long term or short term visa also considering the fact that it's a medical visa for treatment in South Africa. Thanks. |
Please gurus in the house, where does one apply for 6 MONTHS SA medical visa in Nigeria, VFS or South Africa High Commission? Thanks. |
Diamond1960:You can tell someone in SA to scan it clearly and send it to you via email, then you will print it in coloured in Nigeria. Its safer that way though they don't usually ask for it, it's the original of the SAQA that they always want to sight. |
meagainstdem:Yes, you are to submit the firm with the data page. Yes, there is timetable, Tuesday is for verification of your documents at the SA High Commission, the following Wednesday is for payment but that can only be done when your documents have been verified and they are all in order, your name will be sent to diamond bank (adeola odeku branch) for visa application fee payment (NB: you can't make payment at diamond bank except your are told to go there on Wednesday to make payment, Thursday is for submission of your application at the SA High Commission. I really can't say @how much you must have in your account, but you must have enough funds to cover your tuition, accommodation, ticket and living expenses, also considering the fact that you are going with your wife and 2 kids, they may factor in their travel and living expenses too. If you have a scholarship then it will be nice to include the scholarship documents while applying and also state it in your letter of introduction. The visa application fee is #8,500 for study visa with charges of about #1,500, making a total of about #10,000. You are welcome sir. |
meagainstdem:@megainstdem, You are welcome bro. I really don't know if it is allowed to share personal contact here, I've seen nairalanders argue on whether or not to exchange contacts so as to keep the information open to whoever visits the thread in future and also for other people to contribute and debunk wrong/stale information, no one knows it all. However, I'll try to answer your questions ASAP and I'm sure other nairalanders will also answer. Kind Regards. |
meagainstdem:The MSc. Study visa application is still on, though there is an information on the notice board in the south africa high commission lagos office that application for MSc. Study visa has been suspended till november, however, you can still go and apply, they are accepting applications. But your programme is starting Jan 2016, they may ask you to come back by november to apply, processing time is about 6wks, but u can go on any tuesday btw 9am-12pm to make enquiries about when to apply and also how to go about the application for your kids. @the kids, I think you need to file separate applications for yourself and your wife first, after your visa has been granted, either of you may now file an application for your kids as accompanying relatives. Though there is also a section in your application where you will indicate if you have relatives that will need to accompany you. I'll advice you apply for the kids using your own visa when granted because you will have a longer stay than your wife since you are going for a PhD and she is going for masters. PhD will most definitely be longer. I hope this information helps. |
sultan003:@sultan003, don't think I can write the exam with a visitor's visa cos one must have a permit that will allow for 2yrs internship and a year community service in a public hospital after passing the exam, don't even think I can write the exam with a study permit. |
sultan003:Thanks @sultan003, that means I have to register with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA),, which means I must write the licensing exam, which I can't write except with a longer stay permit, hence study permit may not suffice to write the HPCSA licensing exam. |
