Thank you again for this. Which of the two scenarios is likely to happen and why?

Naira has been dormant and hovering btw the 1450 - 1550 range as against dollars for some weeks now, and this only goes to show two things;

- If naira can regain its story beyond the 1200 mark, then dollars will crash, however

- if naira should should dip to 1700, as against dollar, then expect naira to crash further to an almost all time high of 2500 per dollar
Sharmeenator:

Sorry my question might sound naive, I'm still learning. How is it supported at 1500 and with more dollars purportedly being reported coming, I'd expect Naira to gain even more.

With a support of 1500perdollar, brace up for a higher spike
Sharmeenator:
Is there hope that the rates would come down any time soon or should we brace up for even higher rates?

It's no news that Dollar is still the official choice of trade currency around the world.

Likewise, has the swift jump of Naira/Dollar exchange rate from 500 to 1,812 Naira as against it counterpart been a thing of marvel and awe amongst Nigerians.

As such, it's imperative we put out the exchange rate out there for all to monitor and see.

Having said that, welcome to the Naira/Dollar Watch Thread

I do tell people that poor people deserves the kind of leadership they hv. If u see where d poor are defensing them, u will marvel.

Sometimes I wonder if Education is a collosal failure in Nigeria, as it beats me that same people who are the true pillar of democracy can actually stand by and watch all these happen.

Infact till present day, we have many folks defending the ill-fated style of rulership in the country

I get the fact that people are angry.

In no way was I attempting to ridicule the people or anyone. I only was using Irony to buttress my point.
