“I didn’t say one word to the defence of myself or against her.Now I will tell you why.I spent 6 years with an amazing woman and there is nothing she does that will offend me enough to say anything negative about her.And if she was emotional enough to speak against me.I don’t think she said it because she means it.Because she knows better.We didn’t part well but we lived well.I don’t have people that can sit and say things in my ear .That’s what makes me different.What ever comes out of my mouth I take responsibility because i sat about it, tailored it and thought about it and said it.It’s not the same.I can afford to forgive you if you are emotionally charged and you feel wronged.You are going to say stuff you don’t mean.But if I say it, please don’t forgive me because I had no influence whatsoever,everything I said I meant it.So i knew i was able to control what came out of my mouth.She couldn’t. That doesn’t make her a bad person.It just meant that time is a healer.When time played it’s course, she found out what she did was wrong.Some people are not meant in your life, they come play a very strong role and you owe them a debt you will never be able to pay for the rest of your life.That is what i owe that woman .I’ve offered friendship and she is taking that. I’m glad we can look at our stupid mistakes and laugh about it .. When you are in that place, there is nothing more beautiful than that ..”

What triggered your interest in the make-believe industry?

I became an actress because I developed a passion for it. I had explored education and modelling as well. I strongly believed I was destined to become an actress. As fate would have it, I met some people in the movie industry who inspired me wholly. It was then I decided to take my first shot at acting and I haven’t looked back since then. l moved to Lagos after my university education. I went for auditions in Lagos and landed my first role in a movie produced by OJ Productions.

How many movies have you featured in?

I have featured in about over 20movies including Blackmail; Holy City; My Fantasy; Ground Player; Dearest Link, My flavour; and Pregnant hawkers.

Which is your most challenging role till date?

That will have to be ‘Shakira’. It was filmed in Ghana and that was the movie that launched my career. Luckily, I had a producer who believed in me.

What excites you most about being a celebrity?

I am not sure what excites me but I am super excited at being able to do what I love, and getting paid for it.

The movie was titled ‘Pregnant Hawkers’. It was a photograph I took with Muna Obiekwe on the set of a movie. It was a great movie and I don’t regret taking part in the movie.

The Muslim Student Association of Nigeria recently filed a suit against the Lagos State Government over the use of Hijab in primary and secondary schools.

Justice Modupe Onyeabo of a Lagos High Court in Ikeja, has set September 26 to deliver judgment on the case.

Two Muslim students of Aturashe Junior High School, Surulere, Lagos, filed the suit through their fathers. They claim the restriction of the use of Hijab at the school violates their fundamental rights, calling it wrongful and unconstitutional.

According to Channels TV, the date was fixed after counsel to the students Gani Adetola-Kaseem (SAN) and the Lagos State Solicitor-General Lawal Pedro (SAN) argued and adopted their written submissions.

In his arguments in court on Friday, Adetola-Kaseem stated that the essence of wearing Hijab by Muslim females is to prevent them from tempting the opposite sex or being tempted by them.

He insisted that it is mandatory for all Muslim girls who have attained puberty to participate fully in the practice of Islam, which includes the dressing mode, worship and fasting.

Late Nigerian pop gospel singer Kefee – Irikefe Don-Momoh nee Obarekiwill be buried on Friday 11th July 2014 in her hometown – Okpara-Inland, Ethiope East Local Government, Delta State. The “Branama” singer was 34.

Her family disclosed the information to members of the Kefee Memorial Committee – a collection of artistes and entertainment personalities – who paid a condolence visit to the late singer’s parents in their Sapele, Delta State home on Wednesday 2nd July 2014.

On Thursday, her publicist in Lagos released a statement stating her husband, Teddy Don-Momoh who has been making arrangements to bring her body back from the U.S., would arrive the country first to receive her body before taking her down to Delta State for burial.

Teddy earlier indicated that his wife’s family had requested that she be buried in their hometown, with a celebratory service in Sapele afterwards and he was comfortable with the arrangement.

The condolence team who travelled to Sapele from Lagos included Sammie Okposo, Nikki Laoye, Annie Ibrahim, Gordons, Princess, Linda Etukudo, Rex Anighoro, Noah Momodu, Covenant and Chika 100%.

Sammie, who spoke on behalf of the committee, told Kefee’s family that the delegation was in Sapele to commiserate with them on their loss and harmonise the arrangements of the Kefee Memorial Committee with the preparations of her family.

He expressed his sadness to be visiting on such a mission but that the contributions of their daughter to the entertainment industry meant that entertainers in Nigeria wanted to celebrate and pay their last respects to one of their own.
