CAMEROONPRIDE: @nayah bassa are not sawa, stop twisting history.

Duala is the vehicular language of the Sawa, spoken and understood throughout the coastal region, even by non-Sawabantu native speakers such as the Basaa of Douala, the Bakoko.

I have not made up anything Cameroopride SAWA means people from "coast" and Duala population was first BASSA'A for this I don't ask you I inform you, secondly, there's another group called BASSA MPOO BATI and they're still SAWA. Quite Wilkipédia and let's read this to inform yourself and see who's twisting History.

morpheus24: If they feel so cameroonian then why were there groups wanting to form an independent state there?

Personally I have come across many strictly anglo speaking cameroonians who express issues of marginalization and wasn't even aware of the territorial issues and how they almost joined with the union of Nigeria until they brought it up. You wonder why they did?

I am not buying that they were more simlar to Sawa. Hausa-Fulani of Northern Nigeria are very similar to many tribes in Niger, why didn't any pockets over there opt for an amalgamation with Niger. The borders are both french and english speaking like they are to the south east.
You conclude it with your few experiences right? alright....Have you ever been to Cameroon? or live out there to understand Cameroonian mentality and History or ethnic group links? if you have we can discuss on it but if not I can get your generalisation. Let me tell you something, I got Anglophones in my family precisely from Bamenda and I particularly know this town, same for Buea this "marginalization" does NOT exist except for a minority who takes language as a weapon to discredit Biya 's policiy this is all about political divergences and NOT separation sorry but you need to get once, I've already talked with many of them clearly asking them what do they think about feeling Cameroonian and the answer is clear. They don't like "Republique of Cameroun" as a policy but they feel and are Cameroonians. They can't be independant because they are Cameroonian and feel that way, but also they know they could be feed by Nigeria and that's they do not want trust me.

CAMEROONPRIDE: we are saying the same, SE is considered as Igbo region, you people even call it igboland so It's quite obvious that another group with enough ambitions wouldn't like to join a region where they will only play second roles
Igbos are the reason of why they picked Cameroon

Let me clarify something: the Southern Cameroon was an independent region. And they are Sawa.the sawa territory reach Douala. So I also think they were closer with more ethnicity/tribes in Cameroon than in Nigeria.
Exactly! these people are SAWA morpheus just check more about this people, I'm a SAWA lady too and Cameroonpride is right and that's what I tomd you they feel closer to Cameroon than Nigeria, by the way I don't really know why some of us talk about marginalization and separation while in Cameroon we're talking about Cameronian, go to Buea ( South East of Cameroon) or Bamenda they will tell you they're Cameroonians, maybe you're confused because of the fact many of them disagree on Paul Biya policy, but I can testify they feel Cameroonian not Nigerian at all.

morpheus24: OOh OooH I have a question.

Why did Anlgo speaking cameroon decide to join the francophone speaking part of cameroon when they had less in common with them and do you consider these anglo speaking cameroonians as fake since they are always marginalized by their francophone counter parts?
Actually I don't like talking about anglo vs french they're all Cameroonians and they may prefer joining our country maybe because they feel more Cameroonian and comfortable in our country. They not marginalized since they participate to political decision and all stuff, our Prime minister is coming from Bamenda (Anglophone)
