Thank you

gracealonev:
Yes.
If you study science or engineering. It wouldn't be immediate though. Get a lecturing job in a Federal University or job with a research institute. There are organisations that will give you scholarships to study abroad but you must sign a bond to return to your job after your study.

Wow, but that's a long process.

Plus how many people would want to come back? That bond may not work in Nigeria.

Few years back, I remember coming across a number of threads on Nairaland where qualified individuals who have gotten offers or letters/confirmation of admission, to apply for fundings.

I want to know if such programmes still exist and if they do, what are the links or name?

Please let us use this thread to help fellow Nairalanders who might need help at this time. No jokes.

Thank you.
Business To BusinessHow To Make Your First 100k Easily On Nairaland by neyobouncin(op): 7:52pm On Mar 16, 2023
Today, I want to provide you a guide on how to easily build your brand/business on Nairaland, get leads, convert and make money on Nairaland.

I will try to be as succinct as possible.

You might have tried to make money on top websites like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, Reddit and likes before now. Things might not be working out the way you like. But you know, sometimes in life, the answer we so much seek is right before us.

Your own clients might not be on those platforms, maybe you need to come home. Your clients might be local and on Nairaland. That said, a lot of foreigners also visit Nairaland, so don't underestimate it.

In this article, I have highlighted easy steps to attract clients to yourself using Nairaland as a platform. While you do these, make sure you abide by rules and regulations of Nairaland.

Step 1: Create a Captivating profile
Profile or bio or moniker (as it is called on Nairaland) has all your details that you want users to know about you. You will want to put everything you have to offer, services/products inclusive. Make it brief as there are characters limit.

Step 2: Choose a responsible username and put up a decent profile picture.

See step 2 as an extension of step 1. You want to put an image of a responsible person out there. You will come across a lot of funny names on Nairaland but your own game should be different. You must know why you are here. Some are here to make jokes, some to cast other people and there are few like me and you who are here for business.

Step 3: Explore Forums that relates to your interests or business.

Forums on Nairaland are grouped based on topics. You have a chance to explore as many forums as possible. Each forum as over 1,000 users at every time and even more unregistered users.

Step 4: Contribute and Engage in interested forums

Try to add value to your forums by answering questions and posting updates on your area of specialisation.
Whenever someone asks a question that’s related to your services or products, give an incredibly useful answer. This is the best time to demonstrate your expertise. Provide links to trusted sources to back up your answer and try to respond to questions quickly.

You will be surprised that people will start noticing you and contacting you via email within a short time for your skill.

Step 5: Advertise on Nairaland

This is for start-ups and established businesses. Nairaland as different advertising plan. Their prices are based on the forum where you want your ad to appear. The more the members/users, the more the amount you are going to pay.

Check the Nairaland advertisement for details.
