I have no problem with appeasing. But somehow i think using the VP slot as an appeasement is a little too much. So the rest of Nigeria has to appease with 4-8yrs

How does picking a VP from a region that produces most of the country's wealth a bad precedent? How does
paying attention to a region of the country that is turning into a war zone a bad precedent? If Goodluck is VP
for 4 or 8 years, MEND or other Niger Delta militants' case of neglect is weakened if after this period there is
still nothing to show by the way of any meaning development via the Federal Government. Their man is best
situated to articulate their concerns and needs.

Like I also said, Goodluck may not be Duke, but as far as qualifications goes for becoming a Nigerian leader
given what we have seen over the years, I think he is very well qualified. People need to give rest to the myth
that democracy should always be a popularity contest.

Its not about it being a popularity contest.
It's about them trying to appease. . .(yes, the niger delta thing is a problem that needs to be dealt with before it escalates)
But still going on the train of thoughts of a blog that i read. . which obviously i see reason with. . . whats to stop other regions that are aggrieved from doing the same thing (violence) that the niger delta are doing, so that they can get into power.

You don't want it to be a popularity contest. . .i agree with you.
But should it be an appeasement process??

i prefer older guys because they are more matured to my level, and they know how to treat a woman, a guy 10 years older than me is on my level, and the best part is that when you both grow older, it doesn't look like one is older than the other, because women tend to age faster.
