ese79: i was 1ce a uniben studnt, studyin plant biology and biotech 200l. I wrote jamb 2010 and was given mbbs. Unfortunately 4me, uniben lost their acreditatn dat year we werent matriculated, i was thrown bak to my pbb( wat a coincidence!) after av mised my 200level exam wit d hope dat am a potential mbbs stdnt..u cn c how dis lyf is! Very sympathetic ryt?..4ur cousine, if e wil nid my help in anyway, pls e shouldn't hesitate

i had friends who the same thing happened to too... but most of them rewrote jamb and got in again

prince CEE: i put my result when registering for Jamb, should i use awaiting result when registering for post utme cos my waec no strong wella

if ur result is complete u should put it there if they require u to cause it might be used for the admission process but when u are finally admitted u can use whatever result u like for ur clearance...

I knw dis will happen 2 many people apart 4rm me. I printed my slip with 25th may on it only to visit d cafe 2dae 2 fynd out that d date has been changed to 22nd which is 2day. When jamb knew they will change d date why not send us emails or text our phones? Pple like me who don't have steady internet access like me should have been considered or what do they have our emails and phone nos for? I even now support their scrapping. Rubbish!

check the cut off point of the institutions and course u choose if u beat it u are good to go otherwise a change of institution would be logical i guess...

ese79: A ss2 candidate scoring 262 in d cbt jamb. Na wa o! Wat den can we say! D fate and hope of those ppt candidate dat scored fairly above 200 is gradualy colapsing! Ya pume is there to proove oneself bt d difrence of scores btw a given ppt candidate and his contemporary cbt is just too high, am afraid, pume cnt easily compensate d gap..we tank god u ar few(d ppt)..lets just asume its lyk 30cbt cand. dat aply for a particular institutn and lyk 10 for d MALPRACTISE MOST DEVELOPE STATES..i tink we ppt stil av hope den, its just 10-30 admisn slots dat av bin ocupied. Thats a good score at list its the highest score i've seen going for medicine in UniLag, have u seen higher scores going for medicine in UniLag? dont worry about the post utme when it comes out it will be all over this thread just stick around...

if u are from their catchment, i think u have a good chance.

willphem: The 260 merit and 240 locality is only base on the course one chose.d general score one must have to be able to apply for the exam is 200.after which after submission.cut off of EACH DEPARTMENT will be pasted base on the performance of the students that apply then shortlisting will follow.I scored 209 last year and now I'm a bonafide student studying mathematics.
Let ur mind be at rest if you've scored 200

Yeah i understand, UI annouced that applicants who scored 200 and above can buy post utme forms but only invited candidates with 260 for merit and 240 for catchment for an interview, but this was only for MBBS(medicine) i forget to write that in the last post. Other courses like yours had their cut off points which might have been lower than MBBS 's cut off point.

willphem: As long as you have scored 200,u are qualified to apply for the post utme,after which you wait for shortlisting.and when you are shortlisted,your jamb score becomes useless weda u score 390 or 200.then what will give you admission is your post utme score and if you can score 50 in your post utme then admission is sure for you.it may not be in your choice of course but you have admission.but if you want yuor choice of course then prepparation starts now!!!

last year UI used 260 as cut off point for merit and 240 for locality/catchment. lets hope it doesn 't happen again...

i know this will be hard to read but u should forget about these two universities cause they will not take a cut off below 200. u should change to delsu or any state university in the south-south that is your best shot...

it would probably be 160 judging by the cut-off in the last few years...

you have to change to a state university in the south-south if u are from the region, otherwise change to a state university in ur region...

This is absolutely crazy i ve been checking jamb results all day and i have only seen about four or five persons above 200 in fact the highest i have checked personally is 239. most of the scores i have checked are below 170. funny, most of them were going for MBBS it was really sad. I hope u guys have had better luck than i have had all day........

pls, does anyone here know about the computer based test been postponed till May 18th to june 1st. how true is it? is it on jamb's website or what? cause i don't want to travel for nothing. anyone who has got any info should pls post it. thank u.
