A female Pastor identified as Mercy Daniel Ogbonaya has been remanded in Port Harcourt Correctional Centre after being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before Justice I. M. Sani for N23m scam.

The suspect who was arraigned on a charge of obtaining money by false pretence contrary to Section 1 (1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act, was remanded in prison on Thursday January 23.

The actor revealed he had a growth encroaching the pupil of both eyes due to harsh movie production lights. A doctor advised that he should undergo surgery to prevent permanent damage and he took the advice.

He went on to point out that people who spend a long time looking at their phones and laptop screens are at risk of such danger and he advised such people to go for check-up

The Lagos State police command has arrested a lady identified simply as Mama Ada for brutalizing her househelp, Ngozi.


Mama Ada repeatedly used a knife and rod to brutalize her househelp at their residence at No 23 Simarch street in Agric, Ojo area of the state.

The lady who was arrested on Thursday January 23, is currently being detained at Area E police station in Ikeja.
