Last week, I was told by a Friend the interview would happen on the Ist of March, clandestinely. I didn't believe it and the NMU representative countered it.

Well, it's happening on the first alright and EVERYONE is invited, all 30,000 or more. I am now somewhat inclined to give ear to my source.

What was countered was the fact that YOU SAID INTERVIEW WERE GOING TO HOLD UNDERGROUND.

Making the whole process worthless and corrupt. That is a slap on the faces of all those that have been paying a lot of sacrifices to make sure everything goes smoothly.

So, I've been told some underground interviews would happen at NMU next week.

Is that true?

With NMU, there is NO underground dealings!

Shortlisting just got concluded. We would have sent out interview invitations by now but for jamb that wants everything about admission concluded swiftly because they are prepping for 2018/2019 examination soon.

By Saturday we would have rounded off the admission process and focus on the interview.

This is a pressured multi tasking situation for us over here and for anyone to wake up from his slippery slumber, without the full picture of what is really going on, and concoct this kind of blatant crude brew, is the height of mischief in a calculated myopic lenses.

Don't listen to lies nor waste your time with such people.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
i. Interested applicants must have written the unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in the 2017/2018 academic session.
ii. Applica`nts must have scored 200 marks and above in the examination referred to in item (i) above
iii. Applicant who have already gained admission into any tertiary institution in the country are not eligible to apply
iv. Five credits in relevant subjects in SSCE, (or its equivalent) obtained in not more than two sittings

METHOD OF PROCESSING APPLICATION FORM

Interested applicant could obtain and process forms for any of the aforelisted programmes through the following means:

a. Eligible applicants are to login into the official website of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) www.nmu.edu.ng And click on Application form.
c. Submit the online Application form and print a copy

This is to inform all our prospective students that have written jamb before and have not been offered provisional admission to any University ( or have been offered but rejected such offer), you can visit the marketplace to announce availability for Admission consideration. Simply apply to Maritime University for one of our aforementioned departments even if they are different from the ones you indicated during your UTME Registration, provided you have requisite O’ Level Results and wrote the required subject combination in the UTME.

Or simply drop your full names and Registration Number and we will send you an admission invite which you can then accept. Provided you meet our requirements!

Cut Off mark is 200.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

The application for Senior Lecturers, Lecturer I & II and Graduate assistants for the Department of Petroleum and Gas is still on going even though the deadline for others has passed.

This is due to the fact that ;

1. Approval for these departments came in when Advert had been sent out.

2. A lot experienced some challenges when trying to submit their application for these departments.

Same requirements as contained in the first advert

Those who successfully applied, kindly note that we would reach you soon with your interview details.

Once this is sorted out and Academic staff are on ground, Non Academic staff recruitment and Admission Processes would commence.
