A former Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio, has been pictured in London with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Akpabio, who won his seat in the Senate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is believed to be set to decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The lawmaker’s meeting with Buhari, comes after an aide to the National Leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claimed he would join the party in a few days.

Okurukaka Marriage between Chief James Elekima and Mrs Judith Elekima

The okurukaka Ceremony is the final and highest stage of the traditional marriage rites in okrika.
According to Nolly TV Africa reporter Karina Ogoro who was live at the Ceremony report that the final marriage took place in Ogu-bolo, they later move from ogu to Okrika, it happened on the 21st of July 2018

According to a chief from the area, it is believed that every lady must "Tie the okuru" only once in her lifetime after that, she is only committed to her husband till death and cannot remarry. It commands respect on both couple especially from the community, even amongst the women folks.The woman is expected to wait at her parents house while her husband comes to meet her there ,After the necessary family rites/fees are paid to the kobo. Note: If the husband is late, the first son can stand in as the man(husband). Then the marriage certificate is signed by the husband,wife,a witness or two,the father of the husband,the mother of the wife.There is also buying and selling of goods among the families. According to history, the woman then ties the okuru on her waist with a bare chest and walks though the marketsquare on bare foot with a procession of singers.However, due to christianity and modernization,the wife dresses fully, the priest prays for both couple for God's blessings.Then, she ties"the okuru", walks to her husband's family house through the market to meet her mother-in-law, for more blessings.Pictures are then taken with family members and invitees.Here below, are lovely pictures of the ceremony

Operation Show Your PVC' Door to Door Campaign.
The Metropolitan Women Wing Director of the PDP Youth Alliance Bayelsa State Chapter, Pst Esther Martins will tomorrow be in Agudama Epie in Yenagoa Local Government Area to sensitise Youths/Women.

The Metropolitan Director of the Peoples Democratic Party Youth Alliance Bayelsa state Chapter Pst Esther Martins as part of her tour to Communities to sensitize women and Youths on the importance of their PVCs in the forthcoming elections.

Pastor Esther as usual will Charge women to go out to market places, churches, other places to secure their PVCs.
The Metropolitan Director, Pastor Esther Martins will be at Agudama Epie to meet with over 200 youths.
She believe that with PVC, they can vote who they want to vote

More Youth bodies are visiting Pst Esther Martins to pledge their Support towards The forthcoming house of Assembly elections for she to represent them in the Yenagoa Constituency 2, seat in the house.

The current Miss Nollywood Nigeria 2018, Her Majesty Queen Rachael Godwill make another landmark act by touring some orphanage homes in Delta state with lots of gift items and as well celebrate their birthday especially the children born in July.

She was accompanied by her team to the homes. Queen Rachael Godwill who told Nolly TV Africa that the visit became necessary at this point in time, and she wouldn’t have done anything better than this.

According to her, she feels better seeing less privileged children in the society living better and feel among like our children who live with their parents.

Barr Kemela Okara has been decorated as  Ambassador of the PDP Youth Alliance Bayelsa State Chapter.

Okara is the Secretary to the Government of Bayelsa state.

The State Coordinator Comrade Solomon David and the Zonal Secretary Hon pulu Juliet Zifawei led few of the State Executive Members to Confer on him the Ambassadorial position of the People's Democratic Party Youth Alliance in his office.

Comrade Solomon David Said it was due to his track record and performance in the State and why he is galvanising support for the Governor is because the Governor has done very well and no Governor has given him appointment except Hon Henry Dickson. Solomon David who is the Director Direct Labour Agency Southern Ijaw Local Government Area also Described himself as the Eye of the Governor in SILGA and he said the only way to give back to him is by doing what he is doing for the people's Democratic Party (PDP)

The coordinator further described the SSG as a patriotic Nigerian who has Contributed progressively in the State.

He said he has being a blessing to the Restoration Government and he further eulogized the Governor for his developmental strides in the State.

Also Speaking Chief Dr Remember PN Ogbe, former Southern Ijaw Council Boss who is also the brain behind the Alliance, appreciated the Number 3 man in the Executive arm for his support to the group.

Responding after the Conferment, Barr kemela Okara first thanked God for the People's Democratic Party Youth Alliance for recognising him that anything that concerns his principal His Excellency Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, he will be involved especially what the PDP Youth Alliance is doing,  bringing aggrieved Youths together in support of the Party and described the Governor as a blessing to Bayelsa State.

He thanked the PDP Youth Alliance for finding him worthy of been their Ambassador and also promised to do all he could to be a worthy Ambassador and proper representative of the Organisation whereever he is and to support the the group move forward in the State.
The SSG Said Bayelsa has not gotten a Governor like Hon Henry Dickson for his love for the people of Bayelsa State and promised to do more.

The Second Edition of Bayelsa Youth Leadership Awards has been scheduled to hold at DSP Alamieyeiseigha Memorial Banquet hall by 4pm on the 12th of August 2018 which is International Youth day.

He also used the medium to thank Traditional Rulers and Chiefs of Various Communities in the Atissa Kingdom who Contributed Positively to the Success of the Program"Uge-Adiafa Atissa 2018".


Atissa Kingdom comprises of twelve(12) autonomous communities which host the Government House(Creek Haven) of Bayelsa State .The Festival showcases the rich cultural heritage of Atissa people's tradition that is being celebrated annually for decades now. It is another unique way of celebrating with our MOTHERS because the reason for the New Yam(festival) Uge-Adiafa came as a result of their farm proceeds, which they bring yams to the community leaders, families & well wishers to eat, dine & wine together which exhibits love, peace & unity amongst everyone. Also the reasons why Atissa people is being known for their hospitable, calm, intelligent characters will be attributed to the Uge-Adiafa annual festival. The feelings is spectacular.

The leadership is also calling on the State Government, general public to sponsor this rich culture of the Atissa people in Subsequent Years.

The Metropolitan Women Wing Director of the People's Democratic Party Youth Alliance Pst Esther Martins has been honoured in Ekpetiama Clan by the AGADA Youth Movement in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The Agada Youths movement is made up of the seven Villages in the Ekpetiama Clan and the Award was given to her due to the role she played in the area of Youths Development.

The President of the group Zikiye popularly called Alahji told Nolly TV Africa that the Award is to Appreciate her for her Passion on Youth Advocacy, because she has done very well for the youths of Ekpetiama by uniting the Youths of the Clan and wish that Pastor Esther represent them in an elective Positions in the State.

Responding after receiving the Award,
Pst Esther Martins was overwhelmed seeing vibrant Youths coming together to honour her,she said it's one of the best things that has happened to her and that it will boost her to do more for her people whenever the opportunity is giving to her.

She further advised the Agada Youths movement to shun Violence and always do what is right, Because she is an advocate of truth and anything that will benefit Ekpetiama people.

The clergy woman Charged the youths not to collect money to Vote for a particular Candidate to win Election and they should not allow themselves to be used by Politicians during Elections.

The Bayelsa state Chapter Coordinator PDP Youth Alliance Comrade Solomon David and the Political Secretary Ekeremor local Government Area Hon Frank Bideke who accompanied her to tell programme also thanked the Agada, Youths for recognizing there own. Solomon praised them of being formidable and that if they continue like this, he is very sure they will excel.

The Bayelsa State Chapter Coordinator PDP Youth Alliance Charged them to shine there eyes while selecting their leaders into every office to represent them but he strongly believe PDP will bring sellable Candidates come 2019.

Comrade Solomon David told newsmen that he is not surprised of the Award,that Pastor Esther Martins is loved by everybody and she is a hardworking Woman especially in carrying out official Assignment in PDP Youth Alliance and he knew it was due to her track record and performances in Human Capacity Development.

The Coordinator further described madam Esther as a patriotic Nigeria female with a progressive heart that is ready to serve in any Capacity by bringing her wealth of experience to bare in the People's Democratic Party Youth Alliance.

Comrade David appreciated her for being a blessing to the Alliance.

Hon Mrs Juliet zifawei visited them to Educate the children on their Sensitive Parts that should not be touched by anyone.

Pulu who was former SSA Girl Child now Director General told Nolly TV Africa reporter that the Children need to be educated at this age to avoid Danger. She further advised teachers to be very vigilant because the kids are under their care and whatever is not corrected will be harmful to the children in future
