By the way, in the absence of Val Ozigbo, who else can possibly challenge Soludo in Labour Party or should we accept that Soludo has won second tenure? God use Supreme Court procrastinated judgement to expose Valentine Ozigbo's hypocrisy and none authenticity. He joined an evil party APC and dine with devil out of desperation. We also committed to doing business together. I will buy a beautiful duplex from his company and consult them when I need to travel. He will buy 7.5% of Nairaland at a very attractive valuation and become a director of our company so that we can benefit from his vast experience.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Hamas Calls On ‘anyone Who Can Bear Arms’ Worldwide To Fight Trump’s Gaza Plan by Nonybb: 9:21am On Apr 01, 2025 |
ElevationD: Very painful indeed. Hamas rule was marked with extremism and intolerance. While they pretended to rule with kindness, they actually were very intolerant and absolutely brutal. They were so foolish, not seeing that the Iranians were using their land as a defence and battle field. The same to Hezbollah and potentially Houthis. Nothing has happened to the land and people of Iran.
Hamas has brought the worst case scenario upon itself and its people. They are a clear case of the saying “never start a war that you cannot finish”.
There was absolutely no need for that attack on the Israelis on the 7th of October. It was needless and meaningless. It was celebrated around certain parts of the Arab world as victory. The cowards turned their people into human shields, while pretending to fight the Israelis. Their irresponsible action cost that needless loss of human lives.
When the ceasefire came into action, the cowards quickly took off their mufti and wore their military uniforms to celebrate what they perceived as victory, on the streets. Why did they take off their uniforms when confronted by Israeli military? Cowardice it is called. When they were releasing the Israeli hostages, they taunted the Israelis. They never reckoned that a brutal leader like Trump was coming. Today, the story in the entire Middle East has changed. Even Putin has changed his story. Hamas is in shambles, just like Hezbollah. Now they beg for peace. Now they are willing to relinquish the administration. Their fire arms are not under their control, so it is the story for the gods, as they say.
Now it is a very easy possibility to get the entire Palestinians away from their own lands. The lands that they have fought so many losing battles for over 75 years and lost. They now beg to stay there. Now they will live in their own lands with appeal to the Israelis. If the Israelis even annex further lands, nothing anymore can go wrong.
It is so sad to see such things happening. We must feel for the innocent Palestinians who over the years have lost their lives due to this endless hatred. It does not have to do with religion. It has to do with the hearts and minds of the leaders of the people of Palestinian. They hide under the cloak of religion to perpetrate their evil and stupidity.
Who claims victory now? Even Hezbollah can no longer attack. They can only bark. A single wrong move and Lebanon will be in complete ruins.
Next is Yemen. With the Americans positioning B2 bombers and warships close to them and Iran, their own days of evil are numbered. If they damage a single American warship, then just like Trump promised, all hell will be let loose on them.
Lastly, this axis of resistance must be put to an end. Iran must be the next target. I strongly believe and hold it that if Iran is attacked, the Russians and North Koreans will stand back and watch. Trump is projecting American power and the warring Middle East must nations must tread with caution. And why is the US procrastinating.... When are they going to hit the head of the snake, Khomeini, and end this nonsense. That is how it look inconceivable, invincible, with Saddam Hussein of Iraq until Baghdad was demystified |

I can't believe in the life of me that Tinubu is this brutal to supplant democracy in Rivers State and impose a military figure just to capitulate opposition to suit his interest. This is an interesting ugly precedent that would be an antecedent to future leadership of this country. Tinubu was only doing so because Obasanjo did it. Jonathan elevated it but not dismissal of a seating Governor. Tinubu took it to a whole new level(That is how antecedent works: you do the same thing when you cite the history of it). Like I wrote earlier, it is an ugly precedent that would be antecedent to future proclamation. To make it worse, Tinubu went and gazetted it, meaning that once the supreme court pronounce in favour of it through some dubious technicalities(because it is not known to law), it would be a reference for further executive arm to roundly implement, citing the supreme Court judgment. Some Tinubu supporters don't even know what this potents to our democracy |

When I see these kids I just laughed. I wish I was younger again and there would be certain decisions I wouldn't have taken. I was paid 19,500 naira that time when I served in Bauchi state; after my one year service, I saved up to 50k naira cash and went back to the east. From the east, I head to Lagos. That was how life started. My port of call then was at Ago Palace. Sadly, the cousin that I lived with that works in a bank refused to provide me with basic three square meal. The guys literally starve me to death that I had to deep in my pocket to feed my self continuously with the 50k of my life saving. When he was defiant, I left him to the east. Stayed with my mum. In fact, it was even a harder decision because all hell was let loose. She never had patient with me either. I was back to Lagos after going almost one year; this time around, in my Uncle's house. Another gate of hell was opened. This time, it was my uncle's wife. When I landed in that house, I never wanted to work in her school but she somehow influenced the decision and stopped the stipend my uncle was promising to be paying me till I get a job. This woman made me her b*tch in that school. I wake up by 4:30am, enter the bus and we drove till 6:30am, then the school starts at 7:00am. I will teach from SS 1 to SS 3. The school closes by 5pm, we enter the bus and arrived 8pm in the night, sometimes 9pm. Because I live in a house that look like a security house, this woman gave me a kitchen and an utensils to fed for myself. By that time, I was weak, no food. I will buy bread to eat. Then again I will wake up by 4:30am again. The cycle continues... Until... In fact I can't finish my storyline. Fast forwarded.... I traveled out of NIGERIA after "Nigeria" dealt with me. Today I am married with a kid and wonderful family.
Edit: You that is reading my text, remember I said in the beginning that there are certain decisions I wouldn't have taken. If I had known that life is not about reciprocity, I wouldn't have lean on others. Some of you do not even know why I felt bad about that cousin and the Uncle(In fact, I wouldn't even say that I felt totally bad about them) It was my family that set my Uncle up in the early 90's with thousands of naira then(His wife wasn't told the story or perhaps she knew but choose ignorance). That cousin of ours literally pack food from our house every weekend when he was still in a boarding school. Our house was like a pilgrimage and arms giving center; like a Mecca. But when I became a man, nobody could lift me. Even with a little finger. I thought life was about solidarity and relationship with others. They use it on us and I myself didn't benefit from that |

Politics › Re: Sowore: 3 Most Dangerous Nigerian Politicians - Tinubu, Akpabio & Wike by Nonybb: 2:54pm On Mar 23, 2025 |
Great100000: Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general elections, Omoyele Sowore, has condemned the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV, Sowore described Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, and President Bola Tinubu as “the three most dangerous persons in Nigeria.”
He criticized the declaration of emergency, calling it an attempt to sacrifice the entire state structure.
“The declaration of emergency was purely an attempt to sacrifice an entire state structure — not the first, but one of the first that is more brazen. In this case, they want Wike to control one of Nigeria’s richest states, Rivers,” Sowore said.
Sowore further explained the situation, stating that everything had been leading to this moment since Siminalayi Fubara was appointed as governor.
“So everything has been pointing to that process ever since Fubara was appointed—or selected, whichever way you want to put it,” he added.
According to SaharaReporters, he alleged that Wike had to involve President Tinubu in order to take control of the state from Fubara.
“It got to a point where Wike had to reach Tinubu, who is his principal in this case, to move in and take the state from Fubara so they can have it for themselves. That’s what they executed,” Sowore remarked.
Sowore also pointed out the roles of the three individuals—Wike, Akpabio, and Tinubu—in this political maneuvering.
“There are three individuals we must watch out for: the FCT Minister, that is Nyesom Wike; the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; and Nigeria’s president himself, Bola Tinubu. These are guys that are very dangerous. They are dangerous because they have lived a life of crime and impunity — whichever way you want to call it — and got away with it,” Sowore said.
He claimed that these figures had risen to power through criminality without facing repercussions.
“The reason why these guys are different from every dangerous person you have ever met in your life is that they have risen through the ranks of crime and impunity and gotten to the top without consequences. That’s what you are seeing them doing now,” he added.
Sowore also predicted that the Nigerian National Assembly would support the state of emergency.
“This morning, I was invited to a media interview by Channels TV, and I did predict that the Nigerian National Assembly would not do anything — they would endorse Bola Tinubu’s state of emergency. They are all in on this, and that’s why Nigerians must understand that there is no way out. They gang up against us; we must gang up against them too,” Sowore concluded.
