Rangers have lost more footing in their quest to close up the gap on the league frontrunners after they were held for the second straight game at home by MFM on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in a NPFL Matchday 13 rescheduled match. The Flying Antelopes made amends for the home draw with Kwara United, claiming an away draw at FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi last weekend and they were expected to pick the maximum points against the Olukoya Boys who have been poor travellers since the league season began. A goal in each half from Tosin Omoyele and Raphael Ayagwa were all Plateau United required to run out 2-0 winners on Thursday and also end the five-match unbeaten run of Kwara United under new coach, Abubakar Bala. Omoyele gave the home team the lead in the 20th minute as he sprung the offside line to beat Kwara United defence before slotting in a low drive beyond goalkeeper Jonah Usman for the opener. The former Osun United man had a say in the second goal as he was fouled in the box by Saidu Idris after the striker had dribbled his way into the vital area before he was fouled. Ayagwa stepped up and expertly converted the penalty with less than ten minutes remaining in the game. El-Kanemi Warriors and Niger Tornadoes fired blanks to play out a goalless draw in their NPFL Matchday 11 clash at the El-Kaneni Warriors Sports Centre, Maiduguri despite the visitors playing the entire second half with 10 men. Tornadoes goalkeeper, Edwin Nwakanma was given a straight red card by referee Ahmed Rabiu, when he hit a ball boy close to the goal post as the two teams returned to the pitch from the break. The match started with El-Kanemi on the front foot, piling pressure on Tornadoes from the outset, but the efforts of Sunday Anthony, Isiaka Olawale, Antonio Desouza and Nura Mohammed were thwarted by the visitors’ defence marshalled by Hussaini Isah, Reuben Ogbonnaya and Afeez Nosiru. This Sunday, 14 out of the 20 clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will compete for points and aim to improve their standings as the season enters its 11th matchday. Three games involving champions Plateau United, MFM FC, Akwa United and seven-time winners Enyimba have been shifted to the final week in March. Seven matches are on offer this weekend with Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars and Rivers United nursing genuine chance of moving into the upper echelons of the league ranking this season. GUNNING FOR TOP SPOT With table-toppers Plateau United preparing for their CAF Champions League game at Etoile du Sahel, their absence creates room for Kano Pillars to once again annex top spot for a matter of days when they play hosts to new boys Go Round. Kano Pillars start the day unbeaten in their last seven matches and their head coach Ibrahim Musa has rallied his men to extend that run to eight as they bid for a fifth title. returning to action, than seeing his NPFL goalscoring record toppled. Udoh, who scored 23 goals in the 2015/16 NPFL season to set a new record, made the disclosure in Calabar, after seeing his side defeat visiting Lobi Stars (2-1) in a Matchday 10 fixture last Sunday. The striker has played no part in Enyimba’s campaign so far, as he is yet to fully recover from an ankle injury, but hinted that he is more focused on returning to action, than keeping his goalscoring record. Kano Pillars head coach Ibrahim Musa says his team will sustain the momentum to keep their unbeaten run as long as possible. ‘Sai Masu Gida’ have gone seven matches without a loss and occupy second place on the league table with 17 points from 10 matches. Musa in a chat with npfl.ng this week expressed optimism that his team have maintained a rich mentality capable of defeating any opponent in the league this season. “We have started well and today the tempo of this mentality is still burning like a flame. We have all resolved to maintain the same pace until we find ourselves at the top of the league table with a comfortable lead,” Musa told npfl.ng. The former champions have so far won four matches, drawn five and suffered their only loss to Rivers United in Port Harcourt. They however hold one of best away records so far, having played out draws at Katsina United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Sunshine Stars and Rangers International. Musa wants his squad to replicate their winning character as they take on Go Round FC in one of Matchday 11 fixtures at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday. “We will unleash our arsenal against Go Round so that we can pick up the maximum points available and step up to a better position on the log. We don’t know them too well, but our aim is to approach the game like every other tough encounter in the topflight, hopefully three points is assured,” said Musa. If there have been no major problems with your oral health in the whole year, then maybe increasing your knowledge about tooth decay causes should help you avoid it in future. You’ve always found brushing at night totally over rated because somehow you’ve gotten lucky through genetics. Obviously that won’t last for long, because brushing 2-3 times a day is very essential in order to avoid decay. Another reason could be a cavity in the tooth which again is due to lack of oral hygiene. You also need to cut down on sugary stuff, just in case you’ve been hogging on it without realising how much harm it’s causing your teeth. 1. Cloves: The first remedy to cure tooth decay naturally is a very handy ingredient you’ll find in your kitchen known as cloves. They not only help you numb the pain of a tooth ache, but their anti-bacterial properties helps you get rid of the decay as well. Ingredients: 3 drops of clove oil, ½ a tsp. of honey 2-3 drops of sesame oil. How To Use: Dab the mixture in cotton and press to the affected area for a few minutes and repeatedly. It should heal within a few days. All remedies available here http://fashverion.xyz/top-5-home-remedies-get-rid-tooth-pain-decay/ |

beat Akwa United 1-0 and took all three points in the rescheduled Matchday 9 fixture at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi on Wednesday. Ogunye who came on for injured Thomas Adeshina in the 16th minute benefited from a not too pronounced assist from Aliassou Sanou who missed a chance off a corner kick only to see it fall on the feet of Ogunye who made the best of the opportunity to put the ball past Ojo Olorunleke in goal for Akwa united. Before the goal Samad Kadiri missed a great chance when he failed to convert in the 32nd minute after finding himself with only the goalkeeper to beat but rather chose to place wrongly and the ball rolled out of touch for a goal kick to the Promise Keepers. The fixture really never lived up to its pre-game hype as the home team played with much caution and Akwa United were simply a shadow of what they are known for when it comes to positive attacking football. Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries FC have described as “false” a report that the CAF Champions League campaigners are in a crisis as the players morale is at an all-time low due to poor incentives. But MFM FC have now reacted, insisting such a report was only aimed at distracting the team. MFM FC director of football, Emmanuel Adeyemi, said: “I will like to use this opportunity to clear the air regarding a report in the media by a website painting our beloved club in bad light with meaningless assertion. “To set the record straight, at MFM FC one of our top priorities is officials and players welfare. We don’t indulge in owing our players, everyone at the club always receive their salaries, allowances and bonuses as at when due. Two of the top teams in the southwest – Sunshine Stars and MFM FC – will face off in a derby at the Akure Stadium on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game on the back of unconvincing performances at the weekend – with Duke Udi’s men suffering a 2-1 defeat away at Enyimba, while Lobi Stars became the first team to take points off MFM at Agege Stadium this season. SUNSHINE STARS After a solid start to the season in their first six games, Sunshine Stars have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks. The Owena Waves are winless in their last three games and are now bottom of the log after the League Management Company (LMC) deducted three points from their total points tally for breaching the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Framework and Rules.
