RomanceRe: What Is Happening To Ladies On Nairaland? by NSNO(m): 5:17am On Jun 01, 2024
Men have a reputation for being stoic and reasonable but the men we have on nairaland are the absolute worst of all. To them every woman is a prostitute, an evening newspaper, an olosh0 etc.
A woman is missing, she went for to collect d1ck.
A woman was raped, she must have tempted the man or she is lying.
To the men on nairaland, a woman is nothing but a v@g1na and you people will not allow her have her vagina in peace.
Look at someone up there saying that women can never have intelligent conversations and that says a lot about the environment that person grew up in.
Some are in the diary section updating us about their lives.

FreeStuffsNG:
I just explained to you why it is so. The political will is not there and has not changed significantly because of the sound intellectual argument laid by the late Sage and his political party right from Action Group.

It made no sense to destroy your environment to make N100 from Oil and gas extraction when you can use sustainable development production of Cocoa, rubber etc to fetch you same amount or more than N100, create more employments and help the environment.
Agriculture can create more jobs than oil and gas yet it is sustainable. That was why the Western region made massive investments in agriculture and education yet had surplus profits without destroying the environment then and for future generations of Yoruba.

Oil and gas is non renewable yet it destroys the environment so you need to count the cost even after it's devastated the environment for your yet unborn generations.
That's a noble thought but with the situation on ground, both the state and federal governments will throw all those considerations aside.

They are in South South, or is it East East? May be West West?
So a Bini man has nothing to do with an Efik man but he has something to do with Biafra? My brother, you are funny.
By your logic, why didn't you people extend the map all the way to Katsina?
Why stop at Edo? Why did you people not take it up to Zamfara?

Now if they did all that because of a future referendum then why do those maps give the impression that it's a done deal? Why not put something on the map to indicate that it is still pending? Why go ahead to appoint governors?

Nigeria is not divided into 6 geographical zones, the constitution does not recognise anything called geographical zone. I can identify with the Abakiliki man in Ebonyi, the Nsukka man in Enugu, the Owerri man in Imo, we are all ethnic Igbos

What does a Bini man in Edo State have with an Efik man in cross River? Geopolitical zones? Why are you grabbing another ethnic group you neither speak the same language with and have nothing in common with in the name of South South that is not recognised in the constitution?

That's what makes you a land grabber. But when the Biafran agitators say let there be referendum so everyone chooses where they want to be, you say no so you can continue your land grabbing with your non-existent South South.

But whether you people like it or not, all ethnic groups will one day choose where they want to be, and this land grabbing will stop
So a Bini man has nothing to do with an Efik man but he has something to do with Biafra? My brother, you are funny.

You should know by now that the hidden agenda of the protagonists of Biafra is expansionism and abrogation of other people's land. The protagonists of Biafra know that their enclave is landlocked,so the initial Biafra agenda is to abrogate the sea of the coastal areas so that they can have access to the sea.

This is why Biafra is a dangerous concept. If they had honest intentions they would get their assembly men, governors, house of rep members and senators to pass a bill to include a referendum charter in the constitution. But they will NEVER do this because they want to appropriate other people's land.
Thank you for this. Such an intelligent take on the issue.

I dare ask you, what has been the lot of minorities in Nigeria? Have they been wiped off the face of the earth?
Do you even know what is called constituent assembly?
Biafra does sound Igbo. Nobody is going to mistake the Bia in it for anything else.

They have not been wiped off the face of the earth but don't you think that they deserve to have a say in whether they want to be part of Biafra or not?

Now if they did all that because of a future referendum then why do those maps give the impression that it's a done deal? Why not put something on the map to indicate that it is still pending? Why go ahead to appoint governors?

I hope you can see why the whole referendum thing is not explaining the whole thing satisfactorily.

Try and educate yourself a bit. Do you know it was an Ijaw man that named it Biafra? Are you even aware it was another Ijaw man that wrote the National Anthem of Biafra?

Don't take my words for it, Google Chief Frank Opigo and learn properly. Back then there was nothing like South South.
Oga that an Ijaw man did all that then doesn't mean that all Ijaws want Biafra now.

And even if the Ijaws want Biafra what about the numerous other tribes in these states? Does it mean that they want it too?

Now if they did all that because of a future referendum then why do those maps give the impression that it's a done deal? Why not put something on the map to indicate that it is still pending? Why go ahead to appoint governors?

I hope you can see why the whole referendum thing is not explaining the whole thing satisfactorily.

If you are truly from the south south,

In case you don’t know, IPOB are not forcing Biafra on anyone, they are clamouring for a referendum in those states to decide what the majority truly wants.

The thing is that Biafra will be a confederate state according to MNK so it would be your tribe governing your tribe, no domination. Go and research what a confederate state is.

Because you don’t want Biafra doesn’t mean others don’t want it. Nigeria is obviously not working Biafra is the most viable alternative

You shouldn’t be fighting against the referendum, you should aim at giving concrete reasoning why you think Biafra wouldn’t work
Like I said to Rutherford2019, Simon Ekpa has appointed governors for those regions. That doesn't seem like it's up for discussion, does it?

And please go out into the street and ask around, very few South-Southerners want Biafra. They are my people and that's where I grew up so I am not talking ignorantly.

Now please if you can, answer all the other questions.

Thanks
PoliticsRe: Questions No One Is Asking About Biafra? by NSNO(op): 10:12pm On May 30, 2024
Rutherford2019:
OP you are correctly incorrect
What IPOB is saying is that referendum should be conducted to determine whether those Niger Deltans, Kogis and Benue who speak and identify with Igbos want to belong to Biafra.
Nobody wants to coerce anybody to become Biafra
Infact, IPOB is saying conduct referendum both in the SE and SS to determine what we want.
That's not what IPOB and Co is saying. They (Simon Ekpa) have already appointed governors for those regions. That does not sound like it is up for discussion, does it?

Rutherford2019:
And for you to be telling them that Biafra will not solve their problem...why drink panadol for another man headache? Do they ask you for your advice?
If they conclude that Biafra is the solution to their problems then allow them
I was just pointing out something that few people are talking about while asking for clarification on some issues. If that means I am taking panadol on another man's headache, so be it.
Though how is it another man's headache when they are still part of Nigeria?

You are from the South South? The Nigerian constitution does not recognise anything called South/South. The truth is that you have grabbed several ethnic groups you have absolutely nothing in common with and put them in your so called South South. This is the very thing you accuse the Biafran of trying to do.

That's the problem with Nigeria, everyone is grabbing everyone into a fake union, whether they like it or not

Only the Biafran agitator wants democratic referendum where everyone freely decides where they want to be. Nigeria is all about "unity by force", that's why it has never worked
Oga Nigeria is divided into six geopolitical zones and that is a fact.

I am not saying that you can't agitate for your country, just do it within your boundaries.

And there are other questions in my post, please answer them intelligently.

Who is forcefully taking whose region? Why are you, a non easterner worried so much about the south south?
I am worried because I am from the South-South. We (the majority) don't want anything to do with it.

As for the 'Who is forcefully taking whose region?' I have shown proof (current Biafran maps from a reputable news site and from a Biafran. org website) that Igbos want those regions.

What is biafra.org? We are talking about the mediocrity of the present government here you are displaying the same.

You don't just draw map. Map no be artwork.

You saw kogi in the map and you thought the people that drew it are stupid because it has something to do with Biafra?

The map you see has been existing before the Biafran struggle. Nigerian map existed before Nigeria.

Do you know there is a part of Kogi in Anambra state?

Do you know that there is a part of Igbo in Kogi?

Do you know how states are created in Nigeria? This is the mediocrity we are talking about.

That a people were joined to another tribe during state creation doesn't mean they don't know where they are from.
Yes it makes sense to add the Igbos speaking communities in other states to your Biafra. That's common sense. But what has the Itsekiris, the Binis, the Urhobos, the Esans, the Etsakos etc, what concerns them with Biafra? Why are you people adding them to Biafra? That's one of the questions I want answered and you have still not answered it. What are they doing there?

Biafran. org. In fact almost all the current maps I could find all had non-igbo speaking territories. One even had Kogi in it (the map was from vanguard).

I wanted to answer you till i saw this.

Why are you people forcefully taking territories of people that do not identify as Igbos (South-South)?

Whose territory has they taken in South South
Attached is a map of Biafra. Did you notice that it has a lot of south - south cities in it?
In fact I am surprised Edo is not there because Simon Ekpa has appointed a governor of 'igodomigodo'.

Biafra is not going to solve the multitude of problems affecting south-easterners. The corruption, tribalism and intolerance that got us where we are now will not magically go away when Biafra becomes a reality. In fact the tribalism might even turn out to be worse because the smaller the difference between communities, the larger it appears in the mind of the people.

What will will be the fate of non-igbo speaking people in this hypothetical Biafra?

How do you know that the leaders you will get then will be better that ones you have now? Remember that while the system may change, the elites almost always have a way of staying in power.

Why are you people forcefully taking territories of people that do not identify as Igbos (South-South)?

Nobody is asking these questions not to talk of answering them and that says a lot.

I rest my case.
