You have to get history in the right context here. The progessive print and electronic media back in the late 1990s clearly referred to that alleged Diya coup as a "phantom coup" for very obvious reasons. If you had carefully read my original post properly, you would have understood me better and you are also having a convo with a man who vividly witnessed these horrendous events back in the 1990s.

A "phantom military coup" was planned from within Abacha's gang to test the loyalty of his real and perceived opponents. This is what General Adisa was referring to because he thought a real coup plot was being planned. NO real military coup took place. Get this clearly for posterity sake!

General Olusegun Obasanjo, General Shehu Yar'Adua (former President Umaru Yar'Adua's older brother) and many innocent people were framed up by Abacha's military dictatorship and imprisoned just to get rid of people who spoke out against his government.
Femi Falana, Olisa Agbakoba, the fearless Mrs Ayo Obe, Sen. Shehu Sani, several innocent journalists, students and more were framed up by Abacha's goons. A bomb was planted to explode at Allen Avenue junction where a bus carrying military men was passing by to incite the military men further against the pro-democratic movement. A lot was done by Abacha's evil "Strike Force" team to frame people up, assassinate and bomb several high-profile people to death such as Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, the bombing to death of both Bagauda Kaltho and the Chief Security Officer of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the deadly assassination of Chief Olu Onagoruwa's son, the deadly attempt by Sergeant Rogers and the Strike Force military intelligence to kill Chief Alex Ibru the founder of Guardian newspaper (who was seriously injured and had to undergo a major surgery to save his life), and Chief Abraham Adesanya (the iconic NADECO boss who bravely NEVER left Nigeria on exile to avoid being killed) whose vehicle was shot multiple times at close range but the bullets didn't kill him. Barnabas Jabila (aka Sergeant Rogers) confessed to taking part in these operations in a long video that is still online.

The Ukrainians who are fighting a Russian invasion don't ooze such hate.

Only South Africa. And even, the hate is not directed at the white people who butchered their fathers and who control 78% of their land and wealth. Cowardly South Africans cannot challenge their white lords, but they can hate Nigerians who fought to free them.

Today, I say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Every Nigerian must now rub it in the face of Southies that we are a bigger and a greater nation. Yes, we have problems, but so does every country. And we haven't run to SA to complain. We are happy with our problems and we would solve them.

Lastly, the South African government has a responsibility to educate their people on Nigeria's effort to save them from brutal apartheid. That is the responsibility of the South African govt. If they choose not to, or if they deny Nigeria's sacrifices, then they do themselves a disservice. The world knows the TRUTH, even if South Africa hides/denies it.

Every South African must satisfy himself that Nigeria is, was, and will always be the bigger and greater nation. And there are no competitors. Even if there are, they would be Ethiopia and Algeria who are both bigger than SA. South Africans should stop hating us.
