What a pathetic story sisi; but you have to affirm that it's a general thing and no country can be exempted at all. Most Nigerian women had equally fall prey to guys from other continent with dubious intent misconstrued to be love that ended up swindled.

Politics / I Had 2 Private Jets Before Becoming Governor - Okorocha Blast Critics by ObioraIkenna(m): 4:25pm On Aug 28, 2015
Contrary to publications in the media that he has bought two private jets since he was elected into office, Rochas Okorocha, has said he bought his private jets before he became governor in 2011.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Imo State governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, Governor Rochas Okorocha, on Thursday said he bought his private jets before he became governor in 2011, contrary to publications in the media that he has bought two private jets since he was elected into office.

Reacting to statements by workers in the state that he should sell his private jets and use the proceeds to pay their salary arrears, He described the allegation as total falsehood fabricated by those who are bent on discrediting his achievements.

“As a government, we want to deny with high sense of honesty that since May 29, 2011 when Owelle Rochas Okorocha became governor, he has never bought any private Jet either directly or by proxy. Having made this denial let those behind the allegation make their facts public to fault our denial.
The period Governor Rochas Okorocha bought Jets was years before he was elected, during the Olusegun Obasanjo regime when some of the presidential jets were auctioned. The governor bought jets then under the aegis of Lamonde Aviation, alongside few other Nigerians. Since he became governor, he has never bought any private Jet.
Again, the Debit Management Agency penultimate week published the states and their respective debt profiles. And in the case of Imo State, they published N37 billion which was far from the hundreds of billions the opponents of the government have been claiming to be the debt status of the state. And the N37 billion debt include the ones owed by the previous administrations. The good story is that we have been vindicated on that.” The statement read.

Crime / Man Who Shot And Killed TV Reporter & Photographer Attempts Suicide (video) by ObioraIkenna(m): 1:45am On Aug 27, 2015
The man who shot and killed a Virginia reporter and photographer - turned a gun on himself, but survived the shooting. Police say they found him with a pulse, but he's in critical condition.

A disgruntled former news reporter who shot dead two of his ex-coworkers during a live TV segment this morning (Read Here), is in very critical condition after attempting to kill himself.  It was previously reported that Flanigan had died after shooting himself, but authorities are now saying that he still has a pulse.

Viewers of WDBJ, a small news station in Moneta, Virginia, watched in horror this morning as the sacked former employee shot dead 24-year-old reporter, Alison Parker and cameraman, 27-year old Adam Ward, as the two were filming a live segment just before 7:00am.

Flanigan, who is African American, fled the scene after the shooting and then took to Twitter to explain his reasons for killing his former co-workers, all while being pursued by police.

After cameraman dropped to the ground, his camera kept rolling and the shooter is seen in the background pointing a gun at him.

He wrote that Parker made 'racist comments' and that a complaint was filed against her through the equal employment opportunity commission, but his station chose to hire her anyway.

As for Ward, Flanigan says that after working with the cameraman once, Ward complained to HR about the former general assignment reporter. It's unclear what exactly happened between the two men.

The shooter - Flanigan previously worked at WDBJ as a General assignment reporter.

But the most shocking post of all was a video Flanigan took of the attack, which he shared on his Twitter. The chilling clip is taken from Flanigan's point of view and shows him approaching the two journalists as they were interviewing Vicki Gardner, the local chamber of commerce.

He opened fire first on Ward and then turns to kill Parker. Parker and Ward died at the scene while Gardner was rushed to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery.

After posting the graphic video of the attack, Flanigan's Twitter account was suspended.

Landlord in the Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos State, Sola Solomon, has allegedly set fire to one of his tenants
area of Lagos State, Sola Solomon, has allegedly set fire to one of his tenants

A 67-year old landlord in in the Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos State, named Sola Solomon has reportedly set one of his tenant named Abeeb with an alias Ogbon on fire after bathing him with petrol. The victim fought to put out the fire and the wicked landlord also pushed him down from the top floor of the three-storey building.

According to Punch Metro, the poor tenant landed badly as the fire ravaged his skin. This led to his eventual death after several efforts to save his life.

Investigations revealed Abeeb had just spent a period of 5-months in the house located at Iga Idunganran Street, Idumota. Sources revealed the usage of the toilet in the compound caused the fracas.

A tenant in the house, who spoke on condition of anonymity, explained that the quarrel had been settled in the evening and she had pleaded with both parties to maintain the peace.

She said, “Before the incident of yesterday (Monday), there has been a quarrel in the house over the use of the toilet.

“Everybody had complained that the landlord always messed up the toilet after use.

“But yesterday, he had another quarrel with Abeeb over the use of the toilet. During the argument, he threatened to set the man ablaze; the man also dared him.

“I called Abeeb and calmed him down; I also called the landlord and appealed to him to let the matter go, and he said he had forgiven Abeeb.”

It was learnt that the landlord, however, was sighted by residents later that evening carrying a jerrycan, saying he was going to buy fuel.

The Ondo State indigene was alleged to have bought the fuel and waited patiently in his room till the victim returned from a football viewing centre where he had gone to watch an English league match between Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs.

It was learnt that around 12am, the landlord wet the passageway of the house and knocked on the door of the deceased.

Another tenant, who asked not to be named, said the victim’s wife pleaded with him not to go out.

The continuous rap on the door was said to have forced Abeeb out to confront the intruder, only to see the landlord with a container of fuel.

He said, “As he stepped out of the house, the landlord poured the petrol on him. Before Abeeb could snatch the jerrycan from him, the landlord had ignited fire with a lighter in his hand.

“Abeeb struggled to put out the fire, but the landlord pushed him down from the third floor. He fell to the ground and died.”

Our correspondent gathered that the quick intervention of security guards in the area stopped the fire from escalating.

The other tenants in the house were said to have abandoned the building and fled for fear of being killed.
Policemen from the Adeniji Adele Police Division later arrived at the scene to remove Abeeb’s corpse. The police also took the landlord, who sustained burns injuries to the hospital.

A resident, John Ameh, said the landlord was initially rejected at the Lagos Island General Hospital and was taken to the Gbagada General Hospital.

The former occupant of Abeeb’s room, Ruka Rufai, regretted passing the room to the deceased, saying she left the room due to constant threat to her life from the landlord.

She said, “I left that the room about five months ago. The landlord threatened me, so I decided to vacate the room. Abeeb pleaded with me that he needed the accommodation. Now, he has been killed.”

he NDLEA opeartives on Tuesday night stormed the headquarters of Arik Air in Ikeja Lagos following the arrest in London of a crew member of the airline for allegedly being in possession of cocaine.
The Arik crew member, identified by the anti-narcotics agency, NDLEA as Chika Egwu Udensi, was arrested on Monday night by operatives of the UK Border Force with 20kg of Cocaine at the London Heathrow Airport shortly after an Arik Air flight W3101 that departed from the MMIA, Lagos, touched down in the UK.

On Tuesday night, operatives of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) stormed the headquarters of Arik Air in Ikeja Lagos to search Udensi’s latest Range Rover parked on the airline’s premises.

The Arik Air on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of its cabin crew member by the UK Border Force. In a statement, the airline's spokesman, Adebanji Ola, said it had commenced investigation into how the banned substance got into the suspect’s possession.

"A member of Arik Air cabin crew was on Monday night arrested at the Heathrow Airport, London, by the UK Border Force in connection with alleged possession of item suspected to be a banned substance.

The airline is presently carrying out its private investigation to determine how the cabin crew member came about the suspected banned substance.

Arik Air will also be cooperating fully with the UK authorities and other appropriate agencies in their investigations," part of the statement read.

Udensi’s arrest came barely two years after two crew members of the Arik Air were similarly nabbed by the UK Border Force in London with cocaine worth £600,000 on the street. The street value of the drug found with Udensi is £350,000 (N105m).

In December 2011, another Arik Air cabin crew, Ms. Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, was similarly arrested in London for drug trafficking. She was subsequently jailed for 5 years in London.

Health / Stupidity: Man's Penis Almost Explodes After He Injects Himself With Viagra by ObioraIkenna(m): 7:58am On Aug 24, 2015
The 31 year old man who ran out of sexual stamina, injected himself with viagra.
Reports say that a man was rushed to hospital after his penis nearly exploded when he injected it with 'Viagra'.

The terrified victim had to have lots of blood pumped from his manhood after his lusty experiment went horribly wrong. And unbelievably the foolhardy Lothario, 31, who goes by the username sorec**k, says he will do it again just as soon as he recovers.

His story began when he and his wife, 27, decided to try swinging and enjoyed it thoroughly. But his stamina didn't match his ambition.

He posted:

"I got a little greedy. "I saw a urologist and told him I had erectile dysfunction. "He prescribed various pills."

But none of them had the desired effect."So the next step was injections straight into the side of the penis," he said. "I called it Viagra in the post title, but actually it's called TriMix. "Same effect though. "I initially balked at the idea."

After doing some research on the effects, however, he was sold. Initially things were going well, but when it was time to stop, he encountered a problem.

"And that's where things got dicey," he said. "I started pouring cold water over it. Nothing.

"I took four Sudafed pills (as suggested online when you get an out-of-control erection). Nothing.

"I started exercising major muscle groups, doing endless sets of push-ups, pull-ups, squats, etc. (also recommended online, in order to divert the blood). Nothing. "Three hours in, it was starting to really hurt...and I was starting to panic.

"Knowing that the medication came with a warning that prolonged erections lasting longer than four hours require emergency medical attention, I rushed to the ER. "Telling the elderly Hispanic woman in triage what happened wasn't fun. "I was writhing in pain at this point, and...was so sensitive and painful, I could not walk and required a wheelchair because the sensation of it rubbing against my shorts as I walked was incredibly painful.

"Yes, I was awkwardly covering up my erection the entire time. "Eventually I got wheeled into a room."I got two full doses of morphine before I calmed down a bit. 40 minutes later, a team of doctors and nurses came in.

"The resident doctor was a young, cute Indian woman who - unlike the others in the room who tried very hard to act serious - read me and the situation better and made it pretty clear that she thought this was all pretty hilarious and cheered me up immediately, by turns making fun of me and being very vaguely flirtatious.

"Eventually they got a butterfly needle and proceeded to extract a STUPENDOUS amount of blood...as the doctors took turns squeezing.

"Needless to say, I'll be doing this again, starting at a third of the first dosage."

Business / The Department Of Petroleum Resources On Friday Shut Down 14 Filling Stations In by ObioraIkenna(m): 6:59am On Aug 24, 2015
The Department of Petroleum Resources on Friday raided some filling stations at Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki and Ketu, in Lagos, shutting down about 14 for manipulating their dispensing pumps and over-charging buyers, among other offences.

While all the affected stations had N87 per litre on their pumps as the selling price, the pumps were under-dispensing Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol, with almost one litre lost by buyers for every 10 litres bought.

The affected stations include Mobil at Owode bus-stop, Ikorodu; So Super Limited (Sahara), Ogolonto, Ikorodu; General Oil Limited, Ketu; Walesaf, Owode-Idera bus-stop, Ikorodu, and HS Petroleum at Ketu.

At Mobil, 150 litres of water were also found in 30,000 litres of PMS in one of its tanks.

Two pumps were sealed at MRS station at Alapere, Ikorodu road.

At the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation station, Irawo bus-stop, Ikorodu road, three of its pumps were sealed for under-dispensing.

At Ibeju-Lekki, Kaz Oil, Lakowe; Forte Oil, Gulf road, Lakowe; Ona Ara Oil and Gas Station; Forte Oil, Molete; Wakass, Igando-Oloja; Forte Oil, Abule Folly Ibeju, and Forte Oil, Oribanwa were all sealed.

The Forte Oil station at Oribanwa was sealed for hoarding 24,000 litres of PMS and refusal to open pumps for testing by the DPR officials.

Kaz Oil, whose pumps read N86.50 per litre at the time of the visit, under-dispensed petrol by 0.8 litre for every 10 litres, thereby making the public buy the product above N90 per litre.

Ona Ara Oil and Gas station, where there was no one to attend to the DPR inspectors, was sealed as the officials believed the pumps were switched off and abandoned on the news that the DPR was at the nearby station, Kaz Oil.

At Forte Oil along Gulf road, Lakowe, two of its pumps were under-dispensing by 0.98 litre and 1.06 litre for every 10 litres.

Wakass and Forte Oil at Molete filling stations were closed down for short-changing buyers by 0.82 litre and 0.95 litre respectively for every 10 litres.

At Forte Oil, Abule Folly, the pumps were under-dispensing by as much as 1.26 per litre for every 10 litres, meaning that a buyer who was there to buy 10 litres got less than 9 litres.

The Zonal Operations Controller, Lagos, DPR, Mrs. Chioma Njoku, in an interview with newsmen at the end of the exercise, said the affected stations would be made to pay a fine of N100,000 each.

She said, “Some of them engage in manipulating their pumps that under-dispense to the public, which is a way of over-charging the buyers and they bear the brunt of it when caught.”
