https://img.naij.com/n/10/9/121320-original.jpg Rihanna has inadvertently helped police in Thailand crack down on the illegal animal trade after a picture showing her posing with a protected primate prompted a series of arrests. The singer enjoyed a short vacation in Phuket last week while on a break from her Diamonds world tour, and she documented her trip in pictures posted on her Twitter and Instagram pages. One shot posted on Friday showed Rihanna posing with a slow loris, a local squirrel-like creature which is listed as a protected species, and the snap prompted an investigation into whether the animals are being illegally used as a tourist attraction. Thai police arrested two men, aged 20 and 16, on suspicion of possessing protected animals on Saturday night, according to the Associated Press. Phuket district chief, Weera Kerdsirimongkon, says, "Phuket authorities were alerted to the picture (of Rihanna), and last night police arrested the two individuals who brought out the loris as a photo opportunity for tourists... It's like a cat-and-mouse game. But this time it's bigger because a celebrity like Rihanna posted the picture, and there were more than 200,000 'likes' from around the world." The unnamed suspects face up to four years in prison and a fine if found guilty. Rihanna flew out of Thailand on Saturday. More Gist @ http://allgisttest..com |
According to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, frigidity in women is the lack of the ability to enjoy sex. With over 7 billion people on the earth and over half of this number being women, it is not impossible some women are born physically incapable of orgasm, but according to Tim and Beverly Lahaye in their book The Act of Marriage “…their number is so small that it is most unlikely any of them would ever read this book (article).” When a woman finds it impossible to experience orgasm or enjoy sex, the problem is usually emotionally caused and not physically induced. That is why it has been said that a woman’s greatest sex organ is her mind. In his book Any Woman Can! Dr. Reuben David says “There is no reason every woman should not have regular and frequent orgasms, if she wants to.” He further says “no psychiatrist has ever seen a woman with this condition who was raised by loving parents in a warm, secure family environment. Most women who suffer from orgasmic impairment suffered serious emotional deprivation during childhood and after.” It has been discovered that women raised by loving and caring parents usually enjoy the pleasure of lovemaking more than those raised by cruel and unloving parents. This is so because the warm father-daughter love relationship experienced during a girl’s formative stage plays a very important role in whom she grows to become. That is why every father must open his heart and his arm to his daughter at all times, and this I can say, is strange to the norms in Africa, where the girl-child is seen as “her mother’s child” while the male child is embraced and cuddled by the father. As a father, opening your heart and your arm to your girl-child now will not only help to build her self-worth and give her a sense of belonging, it will also inform the kind of relationship she will have in the future with husband and her children. Every time a father engages in acts that can turn his daughter off from him, he is sowing a negative seed into her future. Fathers need to know that they are the first contact their daughters have of the opposite sex. Whatever they believe of you is what they will believe of every man including their future husbands. Sexual frigidity is usually a result of emotional withdrawal from the opposite sex that can be well developed by the time a girl is six years. “Cold, selfish fathers are the greatest cause of cold, frigid women” says the Lahaye’s. Dealing with a frigid wife Frigidity in women can be overcome with great determination on their part and with tender loving care from their husband. A man with a frigid wife must know it is not by her making that she is that way and his wife’s rejection of him is not about him but a carryover from childhood. She is the way she is because of the nasty treatment she got from her father and therefore, in order to help her, he must do all to prove to her that he loves her and that he is not like her father. This is definitely a task that requires some patience. Every action should be kind and tender. Avoid raising your voice at her because this will only remind her of how her father treated her in the past as a child, and make her see a similarity in you and her father, thus convincing her that you are different will be difficult. Treat her with dignity and respect both in the public and private and gradually she will come out of her cocoon. And once her mind becomes cleared, her body will be responsive. Why get married at all when you know you are frigid? This is a common question husbands of women suffering from sexual frigidity ask their wives, but such men need to know that many of these women are not even aware they have such a problem. In fact, many of such women were eager to get married because they wanted to get away from their fathers and because they were in search of the love they missed at home. They find themselves in marriage before they realise they are unable to open themselves up and receive the love of their husbands. And many times, they have no clue as per why it is so. They just believe they are so because that is who they are made to be. It takes a psychiatrist or somebody knowledgeable in this field to open their eyes to the root of their problem and when this is done, the problem is half solved. What if as a woman I don’t like sex and I don’t even want to like it? This is most likely a result of your resentment for your father which has now been transferred to your husband. Over the years, because of your experience with your father and what you have come to believe of men, you have built a shell of psychological self-protection around yourself and this has stifled your natural flow of emotions, making you a selfish person that is only concerned about herself, incapable of receiving and giving love. And this of course is not the way God designs us to live. By the law of cause and effect, whatever you do not sow you cannot attract. The truth is, if you do not make serious effort in changing your stand, it may cost you your home. This is because this kind of attitude, rather than protect us, hurts us the more. According to Tim and Beverly Lahaye “Emotional self-protection doesn’t really keep you from being hurt, for it wounds everyone you love and consequently you yourself.” Apart from the above reason for sexual frigidity in women, a good number of women may also experience what I call secondary sexual frigidity. This occurs over a particular period in life when they suffer emotional trauma as a result of happenings in their lives such as uncaring attitude of their spouses, or neglect from their spouse over the years. Thus, they close up emotionally, and resent anything call sex. And since sex is a thing of the mind, it becomes impossible for them to enjoy it. source : allgistblog

All she told TELL Magazine below; What Nigerians need to know about homoséxuality: The very first thing we need to understand is that homoséxuality, biséxuality, aséxuality are all as natural as heteroséxuality. Our séxual orientation differs; we are born with an innate ability to be emotionally or séxually attracted or not be séxually or emotionally attracted to same séx or opposite séx. Unfortunately, many African societies do not provide enabling environments to discuss séxual orientation. Séxual orientation does not harm anyone. A person who is attracted to opposite séx does not harm anyone so far it is a consensual adult relationship. A homoséxual who is attracted to the same séx does not harm anybody so far it is a consensual adult relationship. A Biséxual or Panséxual who can be attracted to all séxes harms no one so far it is an adult consensual relationship. Even an Aséxual who is not séxually attracted to any gender harms no one. We are all different, and non-harmful lifestyle of adults should not be criminalised. If Nigerians will ever accept homosexuality: Whether Nigerians accept it or not, LGBT rights are recognised human rights. Unless, you can prove that Lesbians, gays, biséxuals and transséxuals are not human beings, well, you have no reason to deny them their fundamental human rights. Unfortunately many Nigerians believe in the concept of sin. First, we must understand that sin is a religious concept. Not every Nigerian is religious. Your religion is also a personal matter, why drag other people into your personal relationship with Jesus, Mohamed or Obatala? When I am told that homoséxuality is a sin, I just tell them their religion is not my law. The Bible or Quran is not my constitution, so why is that even coming up? It is absurd when Christian gay bashers gleefully quote Leviticus 18:22 to justify why they want to jail and stone gays. Anyone who wants to quote from Leviticus should at least read the book to make sure they are not guilty of any of the things condemned in the book. Leviticus also says you should not shave, you should not interact with a woman in her menstrual cycle, thou shall not eat shrimps or shell fish, Lev. 11:10,11:6-8 thou shall not touch the skin of a dead pig (therefore touching football without wearing gloves makes you unclean!) So, when Christians throw Leviticus at me, I simply throw Leviticus right back in their face. What her family thinks about her séxual orientation and controversies: What makes a family is love, tolerance and acceptance. Anyone who shows me love and welcomes me into their heart is my family. Love is one thing that is thicker than blood. My immediate family knows my séxual orientation, my father is late, and my mother is accepting of whom I am and has shown me love and support. To continue to be an important part of my life, you cannot be homophobic, biphobic or transphobic. If her atheism belief is connected to her séxuality: My atheism has nothing to do with my biséxuality. Atheism is simply a non-belief in God. My biséxuality is my séxual orientation, no connection. However, I must say, my atheism has helped me to stand up against religious bullies, who use the Bible and the Quran to justify their hate for gays, lesbians, transséxual and biséxuals. Religion carries a lot of unwarranted weight in Nigeria and Africa generally. This should not be so. In fact, this is one reason the African continent is still very backward. When religion carried so much weight in Europe during middle Ages, it was wrought with wars, jihads, killings and ethnic cleansing. Many religious Africans now use the ‘holy’ books to justify the oppression of members of their own society. Even when the original owners of the religion inform them that the book has been updated and some parts are no longer applicable, Africans still insist that it is must be applicable because it says so in the book they were given. How pathetic! Source > http://allgist ..com |
