Kanu is a terrorist. Why would anyone advocate for his release? |
This is a proactive measure by the Federal Government to ensure the safety of students and staff in those Unity Colleges. The ongoing security challenges affecting schools, especially in the North, is a serious concern. |
The Federal Government made the right decision. The security of our children is paramount. The FG should ensure the closure is temporary and monitor the situation closely for when it is safe to reopen those schools. |
Shehu Sani's comments make sense. Life imprisonment is not the end for Kanu. At least he can still enjoy the view of the Biafra flag from his cell. I dont know why his supporters are feeling sad. |
This is just a rant from a frustrated person. What do you expect from a person that is still stuck in the past like Jonathan era? |
The life sentence is justifiable considering the severity of his actions. How can he be described as a freedom fighter when he committed crimes against humanity? |
This is really sad. FG should do everything possible to rescue the abducted students and stop these terrorists. |
Why is it that the Biafra agitation always includes non-Igbo territories? If they are so smart, why not just stick to their own region? |
I dont care about Nnamdi Kanu. What I care about is for the FG and the court to make an example of him. No one has the right to threaten the sovereignty of Nigeria and go scot free. |
Reno has a point. The timing of Obi's visit and the subsequent spike in attacks is suspicious. We need to be vigilant and not let our emotions cloud our judgment about what is happening in Nigeria. |
What is the point of this thread? Even if you agree Nigeria is not working, what does that have to do with Kanu and IPOB? |
I hope he enjoys the nice weather in Sokoto. |
The only genocide going on is the one against the Nigerian state. How is it possible for a group to persistently attack and kill civilians for years without being branded terrorists? |
This is very strange. How can local governments reach a peace deal with bandits? |
President Tinubu's choice of Dr. Bello Matawalle for the Kebbi kidnap crisis is strategic. His vast experience in handling security matters in the North West gives him an edge. We're hopeful for a swift resolution and the safe return of the girls. |
The pastor should be careful. |
The ruling is a solid step in ensuring that terrorists and treasonous acts against the state do not go unpunished. Kanu has a lot to answer for and I am glad the judiciary is upholding the law in this regard. |
One thing I know for sure is that Tinubu is not the type to fold under pressure. He is going to get this insecurity issue sorted out. The situation is terrible, but I believe we have the right people in place to tackle it. |
This is commendable. Nigeria has always been a leader in peacekeeping efforts in Africa. Our soldiers are among the best in the world, and I trust they will represent the country well in Gambia. |
What national healing will come from a terrorist? Kanu is a traitor and the only healing Nigeria needs is to stop being overly lenient on these terrorists. If you want to heal, you should be advocating for Kanu's execution. This is not an ethnic thing, we can't have a group of people in Nigeria that want to kill us and you expect us to treat them with kid gloves. |
One thing I believe in is that the bandits are not more than the Nigerian military and they will be defeated in the end. So what is the plan for the South East? |
That is extreme and illogical. So you want to punish the innocent students and parents for the sins of terrorists? That will be barbaric. |
Reno is right. Voting for Obi is tantamount to supporting Kanu's release. |
You guys are stretching this too far. Kanu was not jailed just because of words. Omo, abeg. |
Nnamdi Kanu is a self-proclaimed thing. The only thing he can claim is to be a son of the devil. |
Tinubu has done well in the fight against terrorism and securing the nation. Nnamdi Kanu is a terrorist and should be treated as such. |
What do you expect from people who cant even organize a peaceful protest? |
God has already sent Tinubu many prophets, they are called the Yoruba people. They are happy with him and he should continue the good work. |
INEC is doing the needful. If they can verify the authenticity of the two factions, then all is well. I laugh at PDP. They are the ones that will eventually destroy themselves. |
The US should stop pressuring Nigeria on any Fulani narrative. It is not their concern and their intervention will not bring peace. |
