@prettyslim or any student looking for an appointment at the U.S embassy there is currently April, 2026. Such person should be wise and pick Abuja first then use the auto-qualified expedite request to seek for a closer date b4 resumption.

anything above $15k is difficult to convince the V.O but ensure you have double of you COA on your POF if it's personal funding and ensure you get a proper story to back up your claims. May God be with you

if it's a new application with a new fee and you already have a date you can request for an emergency appointment. but if you don't already have a date you might have to wait until they reverse the current hold on scheduling new appointments.

The juggling of F1 (emergency) visa appointment request is determined by population but embassy wants all F1 visa applicants to meet up with resumption. 👍

Yes emergency appointment is possible for all F1 visa applicants providing that you have done the needful ie SEVIS fee paid, I-20 date and sign, ds-160 completely filled and submitted.

** Yes you will be approved. It's the birth right of all F1 visa applicants if you have done the above needful.
Note: You must be a 1st timer or you were denied 7 months ago. 👍

you hv to convince the V.O hoe you got it if it ok then you are OK but V.O always perceives us to be poor so you coming with over 30k dollars is a tall order

from 15k deficit they don't bliv a student can cover I stand to be corrected though...I'm a living testimony mine was 22500k deficit personal funding the v.o wasn't convinced hence denied

My deficit is about 16k, my uncle is my sponsor. My interview is next week and I have his statement of dollar account with 57k+. It's a 6month statement that stopped at Feb 19(I used it to obtain my I-20... My uncle is currently out of the country... Is the account recent enough as I plan to hold it while going for my interview

you don't need account statement during the interview, just to be able to convince the v.o on what your uncle do and convince the v.o your uncle will sponsor you. That's it

Hello.
Chose premium delivery from the beginning if you can afford it (though you can change delivery options B4 your interview).
If you chose free delivery now and later chose premium delivery after the issuance of your visa it can take 2 weeks to get the delivery of your passport except it you paid for express delivery.
Although the stated issues does not happen all the time but most time OIS, DHL and the US embassy misunderstand delivery messages amongst themselves especially changing from free to premium. Ciao.

I don't think it's a must bro; I didn't add maybe I was not observant or error in omission not just this but most of my job experiences, I put jus 2

On the DS 160 portal I didn't see where to fill secondary school or maybe I was ignorant, please I want to know how the portal bcs what I saw was secondary/tertiary institution for f1 visa
