Remember that he was part of Amaechi's govt .Amaechi knows something about him too that he is afraid of Amaechi making it public. Amaechi has thrown the challenge to him by saying to him 'meet me in court ' n wike is yet to do that n he is going around distributing white paper which he doctored the report therein |

onlyhandsome202: Before you Mock MMMites Before you mock anybody for investing in a ponzi scheme , think about this. I invested all my Savings from NYSC in Savanah Bank, The Bank Packed up and left me with Nothing. I bought 10,000 shares in Transcorp when Obasanjo and "Madam Stock Exchange" initially sold the fraud to Nigerians but up till today, no shares were allocated to me and my money was not refunded. I remember my then employer deducting money from my wages and paying into government owned Housing Fund and also into the National Pension Fund, the 2 bodies were dissolved and my money dissolved with it. My Father and millions of Nigerians also paid into the same funds for more than 30 years and nothing came out of it. Some state governments are owing their workers up to 1 year wages, the federal government and some parastatals are not different. My father-in-law gave his life to NTA as a photojournalist travelling all over the country to cover events. Many years after his death, his widow is still waiting for NTA to pay his entitlements. Remember how government came up with idea of community banks and encouraged Nigerians to patronise them, remember Allied Bank, Lobi Bank, Abacus Bank, City Express Bank, Assurance Bank of Nigeria, Hallmark Bank Plc, Ivory Merchant Bank, Lead Merchant Bank, Metropolitan Bank, All States Trust Bank, Coop and Commerce Bank, Commerce Bank, Credite Bank, Pinnacle Commercial Bank, Kapital Merchant Bank, Ivory Merchant Bank, Prime Merchant Bank, Republic Bank, Eagle Bank Plc, Liberty Bank, Progress Bank, North South Bank, Pan African Bank; remember pensioners who had their money in Societe Generale, dont forget the traders whose lives were destroyed by Gulf Bank, and many more too numerous to mention. Should we blame these people for keeping their hard earned money in NDIC insured banks ? Dont ask me about NDIC please. On a different scale, remember how many hours you spent at the polling booth to vote for Buhari, remember how we all campaigned vigorously to remove Jonathan and how many people you encouraged to vote for PMB. What has come out of it for us all ? How about the money you worked hard for and contributed when your Churches /Mosques wanted to establish those private universities and now your children are excluded from the qualitative education they offer because you can not afford the tuition fees ? What do you think about the money you pay to NEPA or whatever it is called now every month regardless of whether they supply you electricity or not ? How are these different from MMM/Givers forum/Or any other ponzi scheme? . I agree that some people are into ponzi because of greed but most of those who invested in ponzi schemes did so because they have been duped by some government backed schemes in the past. There is poverty in the land and people are looking for ways to survive. They knew the risk they were getting into and were all willing to take the risk. Afterall, living in Nigeria at all at this moment is a risk and working for the government is also a risk slightly lower than investing in a ponzi scheme . The truth is every Nigerian living in Nigeria is into one form of ponzi/hyip or the other and I do not see any sense in mocking anybody for taking a risk, as long as it is with their own money. Afterall, Nigeria itself is a Ponzi scheme. God bless Nigeria. Written by Omotayo.... Well articulated Omo |

PHC1stBorn: INCOMPETENT Mr. WIKE, AN UNGRATEFUL HUMAN BEING, A DESPERATE THIEF AND SERIAL LIAR The incumbent governor of Rivers State is grossly incompetent. Amaechi this, Amaechi that!! Leave Amaechi alone and face the governance which you desperately grabbed on the altar of many innocent blood, against the blessing of then President and our leader of PDP, H.E GEJ. Amaechi supported you to become Obio-Apko LGA Chairman; Amaechi Appointed you as his campaign DG; Amaechi as governor appointed you as his Chief of Staff; Amaechi nominated you to become a minister; Amaechi's only sin against you, is that he won't support your bloody ambition to succeed him, because that would be unfair to the people of other ethnic nationalities that makeup Rivers, being that you are his kinsman. This one of the area i agree with the former governor. Now that you grabbed the governorship position, using the then federal might, you have grossly failed in all areas of meaningful governance. Wike has failed woefully in the area of health care. Abandoning the various health centers built in all twenty-three(23) LGA's by the immediate past government to dilapidate and now become dens for wild reptiles; while the academic & non-academic health workers are left without salaries for several months; ranging between 6-12months. The good people of Rivers State would never forget so soon, how those health centers built by Rotimi Amaechi saved the life of many and provided healthcare for the average/poor citizens, which in most cases, was free for children and the aged people. Today, Wike abandoned these edifices to decay for no justifiable reason. Wike has failed woefully in the area of education. The abolishment of "free education" from our public schools, remains one of the most uncharitable wicked actions of Wike against the Rivers people. The decision to introduce several arbitrary fees into public schools, was very unpopular and a thousand steps backwards. Wike has canceled and failed to fund educational scholarships since he assumed office. The present Rivers government as led by Wike, is getting to two(2) years in office, yet they've failed to construct/complete one(1) single school and has abandoned well over one hundred(100) schools, constructed by the last administration, which were all at various stages of completion. Instead of this government to pursue the completion of these schools and provide enabling environment for basic education, they are busy chasing shadows and have also allowed the well over one-hundred and fifty functional model primary schools to decay, lacking adequate maintenance and upgrade. Teachers and non-academy(security staffs) of our public schools are been owed salaries for several months, resulting to incessant strikes and protests. The failure of Wike in the educational sector is monumental and heavily regrettable. Wike has failed in the area of Agriculture. Nothing to show. Zero performance. Rather, the incumbent abandoned the huge banana plantation built by Amaechi and used his cronies to set same ablaze, sold off the fish farms and other agricultural infrastructures put in place by the past administration. The highly applauded and world standard resource generating agricultural establishment, RSSDA has been completely ripped apart and allowed to decay, with staffs of this once prided organization, allowed to remain moribund, with over one year of unpaid salaries. Wike has failed in the Transport Sector. Another area with zero performance. The only achievement is the reintroduction of multifarious task-forces(touts), in replay of his days as Obio-Akpo LGA chairman. The gain is the daily harassment of innocent members of the public and the recent reintroduction of traffic lights, at a whooping contract cost of N6.5bn, secretly awarded to a company belonging to Felix Obuah. Wike's government and tenure has remained a wild nightmare to Rivers indigenes and dwellers alike. Wike depicts insecurity!! However, the Wike's recent claim, that Amaechi is behind the insecurity in Rivers state, is the biggest lie of this century and a dirty joke, hoping to score a cheap political mark, though not even his father, wife and children, will believe him or listen to that trash as excuse for the heightened insecurity in our dear state. However, it is incredible to hear this twist of story from a siting governor, who had always proclaimed that, the story of "Rivers insecurity" is a propaganda of the APC, being blown out of proportion and that Rivers State is peaceful, except for pockets of cult clashes. So now, the insecurity, which the masses had been screaming is true? Wike is loyally associated to all the infamous militants, criminals and cultists within Rivers State and Niger Delta. He is their greatest patron and source of inspiration as rightly alleged by governor Adams Oshomole recently and his erstwhile-friend, Ali Modu Sheriff. Wike's romance with Ateke Tom, Dagogo Farah, Soboma Jackris, Solomon Ndebara, Martins Manna, Don Wani, Samuel Nwanosike and their likes, is the reason behind "Rivers of Insecurity". The governors' recent claim, that Amaechi is behind "Rivers insecurity" is a big lie and a thrash. Such statement clearly depicts incompetence. He can no longer control the monsters he created. This simply means that he has failed in his primary responsibility as enshrined in the oath of office which he took. In conclusion, Mr, Wike is a disastrous failure in government that will remain painfully indelible, in the minds of Rivers people for many years to come. Wike is the worst governor of Rivers State ever". An excellently thoughtful thought .No better way to say it all. |

--------------------------------------------//------------////--------------//-----------------////-----------////--------//------ Let’s salvage our sinking nation, Governor Wike urges Nigerians
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the nation is sinking irreversibly down the abyss, stressing that only a united front will salvage the country and set it on the path of growth.
The governor regretted that either by commission or omission the Federal Government has dragged the country into its worst economic crisis where Nigerians find it difficult to feed.
In his special independence address during the 56thIndependence Celebration at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt on Saturday, lamented that ordinary Nigerians are dying daily from ailments that are ordinarily curable.
The governor declared: “Just look at the situation of our country at this material time. Never in history has the seeds of disunity, distrust, hatred; intolerance, violence, and terrorism proliferated in our country than now, not even in the years of the civil war.
“ By acts of omission or commission, the federal government has pushed the nation into its worst economic nightmare. With inflation on the loose, poverty is increasing as ordinary Nigerians are finding it difficult to have one decent meal in a day. Families are loosing loved ones to curable ailments simply because they can no longer afford necessary medications to sustain their health and vitality.
“Worse still, just as our collective security is being threatened by the activities of motley terrorist groups, such as the Boko Haram insurgents and Fulani herdsmen, most Nigerians are increasingly becoming disillusioned with the country’s failing national institutions, for their inability to mirror the nation’s character and values.”
He added: “ It looks as if the country is sinking irreversibly into the abyss, but I this is what happens when a country is economically weak and dependent. The need therefore, for all of us to work together with the three levels of Government, to deliver real and sustainable economic independence to our country and our people remains the greatest challenge before all of us.”
Governor Wike said that the earlier the thorny issues affecting the nation are addressed, the better for the development of the country. He noted that the people of Rivers State are proud of their contributions to the development and economic growth of Nigeria, pointing out that they deserve to be rewarded according to their inputs to the sustenance of the country.
“As Rivers people we are proud of our contributions to the unity and progress of the Nigerian nation. We remain committed to preserving the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria. All that we ask in return for our loyalty and commitment is justice, mutual respect and just recompenses for our contributions and sacrifices to the economic and social wellbeing of the country”, Governor Wike said. He explained that the Rivers State Government through policies and programmes has empowered the people and improved their living condition. Governor Wike said: “As a deliberate social policy, we concentrated more resources to improve physical and socio-economic infrastructure in the State. Accordingly, apart from several major roads that we have already completed and commissioned, work on all ongoing road projects spread is progressing very well”.
He pointed out that projects in the area of infrastructure, health and education have improved the living conditions of the people of Rivers State.
The 56th Independence Anniversary witnessed March pass by the police, paramilitary voluntary organisations and schools.
Governor Wike also released the white pigeons signifying peace.

But pple working in schools board plus the governors commissioners....these monies have been signed for payment but these bad eggs will not let labourers get their pay for what is due them. They fix deposit our salaries and get to eat from the profit thereof leaving the owners of these monies to suffer.. I cannot imagine how people will sit and watch others wail for their entitlement even when they know they are the cause of their wailing...shortly after I got this job, there was this bonus of 11k that came in during the Christmas season and some of us collected tru the LGs while some tru their Banks.... As I write this , I nor use eye see bonus nor ear hear say them share bonus to anyone in my school. (Css Omuanwa).. I still Ave 3months arrears accumulated during Amaechi's regime to be paid.. Right Now am not talking about that but my fears are maybe that will also be forgotten like the 11k bonus... (I pray otherwise). No man will confidently say he's paid workers their salaries if he hasn't... Truth is...... Wike has paid but bad eggs won't let it get to us as at when due..
My thoughts...... Please So who is the governor? The bad eggs or wike? Please reason well |

gold360: The Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Prof Kaniye Ebeku, has urged teachers in the state to first exhaust all avenues of dialogue before considering the proposed strike action.Ebeku, who made the appeal recently in a meeting with the teachers in Port Harcourt, the state capital, noted that the policy of the present administration was not to owe any staff, hence, the allegation of outstanding salary arrears to teachers would be looked into with a view to addressing the problemThe commissioner told the teachers that, “assuming without considering that any legitimate teacher is being owed salary, we believe that you should not start by going on strike.“We need to know how this came about because as far as this government is concerned, the policy isnot to owe any staff. So,if any staff is being owed salary, there mustbe something wrong along the line that we will seek to explore and resolve.“Consequently, we haveurged them (teachers) to stop any planned strike action that could disrupt the smooth resumption of students’upcoming academic session,” Ebeku added. He used the opportunityto urge parents and guardians to prepare their children and wardsfor the new date of resumption of schools, which is September 19, 2016.The Tide recalls that teachers under the auspices of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) had last week, issued a communiqué directing teachers to resume work after the holidays while appealing to government to pay them their outstanding salary arrears, while at the same time, warning that they would embark on strike, if on resumption, they are not given their entitlements. In the communiqué, theteachers had listed payment of arrears of salaries, implementation of promotions and conduct of outstanding promotion interviews of those who are due as issues to be addressed by the government. The communiqué was issued at the end of a meeting of the State Wing Executive Council (SWEC) of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Rivers State wing. arrant nonsense. absolute rubbish. as a commissioner has he ever been owed his salary and entitlements for even a month? |

gold360: PORT HARCOURT – SECURITY guards and labourers in the Rivers State Modern Primary Schools, spread across the 23 localgovernment areas of the state, have warned that they would put the schools under lockand key even after resumption tomorrow (Wednesday) until their backlog of salaries is paid. The guards and labourers, who launched a peaceful protest in Port Harcourt, Thursday, last week, complained that the state government owed them salaries ranging from six months, eight months to 13 months. They vowed not to allow academic activitiescommence in the modern primary schools after resumption on Wednesday (Tomorrow) until their backlog of salaries was cleared by the state government.Don’t bother your children resuming schoolSpokesman of the labourers, Mr. Godswill Nwuke, warned parents and guardians not to bother bringing their children and wards to schools when schools resume tomorrow, accusing the government and contractor in charge of the jobs of treating them disdainfully.“We are being owed for six months now by thestate government. The bible says a labourer is worthy of his wage, but wehave been beggingthe state government to pay us and they have refused to do something.“This time, we are going to lock all the modern primary schools. We are telling parents to please not bother to bring their wards to schools as schools resume. Until we receive our money, we will not open the schools for any academic purpose.“We will not allow anybody to come into the school compound until wereceive our six months’ salary,” heasserted.Going to work with empty stomachNwuke added: “Some months ago, we met with the state government and they promised to pay us within threedays, but since then till now, we have not received anything and they have not called us for any other negotiation. Now we are not ready for any negotiation again.”He said: “Rivers State Government is not helping matters at all, the same government that we voted into power, which promised to pay workers’ salaries, how do they want us to cope? Do they want us to be going to work with empty stomach?”One of the protesting workers,Sir Kingsley Owhondah, who works at Isiokpo Primary Schools Board in Ikwerre local government area, cautioned: “We want to advisethose head masters that took laws into their hands last time we tried to lock the schools that this time it is not going to be easy for them.“We are also begging the security agencies to stay clear, although we know that the Department of State Service, DSS boss the last time we were owed eight months, pressurized the state government to go and pay. I know that this timehe will stand on hisfeet to beg us, but we will not accept any appeal until our salaries are paid,” he said.Another worker, Chioma Albert, asked: “Must they owe us six months before they pay us?The truth is that they must pay us complete before we will allow schools to commence. We do not want to accept part payment again. They shouldpay us our full payment this time.”Another colleague of his Mr. O. Worlu, said: “This is 13 mouths now that Alakahia Primary School has not received salary. I am standing here calling on head masters, teachers, elders and community leadersto stay away from school. Before, if we lock school, they will come and beg us but this time, no way.”Govt owing workers- ContractorContacted, the contractor handling the security arrangement, Mr. Chijioke Tasie, confirmed that the state government was not fulfilling itspromises to the workers, adding: “The workers are right that they are being owed. The promises have not been fulfilled. I am sure they are aware I am not partof the problem.”“While I have refused to talk to them and made them promise, the promise can never be tangible except it is backed with money, which is why I have not had the courage to address them. People who are giving us promisesare not fulfilling. “There is no week we do not reach the authorities two or three times. I even reached themlast Wednesday, but nothing is coming forth,” he said.Tasie, however, said he was not in support of the labourers going physical, but urged the guards to be peaceful in the agitation for their rights.
