I'm sure most of you are aware of the state of health of Nollywood actor and producer, Obi Madubogwu. He has issued a statement from his hospital bed at the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta, Lagos. Read the statement below...


Nollywood star, Madubogwu thanks Nigerians, seeks treatment abroad



For Nollywood star actor and producer, Obi Madubogwu, there is so much to be thankful for as God continues His miracle in his life, reviving him from a near-fatal diabetic coma in December 2016. He is equally grateful for the kind of response Nigerians deployed towards his pleas for assistance during the dark moments. According to him, it was enchanting to know that Nigerians loved and cared for him in such a magnitude.

In a press statement, from his sick bed at the Federal Medical Centre Ebute Metta, the actor, producer, and founder of Saving Life for Africa Diabetes Foundation, (www.savelifeafricadiabetes.org) said he was full of gratitude for all the people, organizations and groups who supported him financially and spiritually with prayers as he battled for his life. The statement reads: “I want to thank all those who supported me financially, through calls, personal visits and prayers. I remember, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Dr. J Akabuike, Commissioner for Health, Anambra State, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Johnbosco, Ken Maduakor, Osondu Igwilo, The Young, Ofia Okija, Emma Bishop Okonkwo, Igwe Alex Onyido of Ogidi, the Nollywood guilds and groups like AMP, DGN, AGN, Anya Igbo Filmmakers Association, Film4Life and Which Way Nollywood and Movie People Whatsapp Groups, Ogidi Boys Secondary School Old Boys’ Association, Ogidi Union Germany, Pastor and Mrs. CMD Lamia and members of the Makers Church, Ojodu Berger, Pastor John Offiong, Dorothy Iyong, Head of Nursing Unit, Federal Medical Centre Yaba, Dr Awoyemi, Dr Dada, Matron Onuka and all the team at FMC , Ebute Metta, Obi Nwogbo, Sebastian Ndu of Consuming Fire Prayer Ministry, Ogba, Barr Uju Ohanenye of Kenuju Love Foundation, Prince C. The Anti-Kidnapping Unit of Lagos State Police Command has begun an investigation into the abduction of a three year old baby who was abducted by her mum's apprentice, last Saturday, from their home in Alagbado.
Mrs Oluwatobi Adebiyi, a milliner, who also strings beads hired, apprentice, Grace John to work at her shop just 5 days before her daughter was abducted by her.

According to Vanguard, Grace approached Mrs Adebiyi two weeks ago, signifying her interest to learn the art of bead and hat making.
Mrs Adebiyi agreed to have her learn the trade from her and gave her conditions for registration. Grace agreed to the agreement, left and promised to return with the requirement.

Grace reported to the shop located at 1, James Oyedele Street, Moshalashi, on January 23 and made a part payment of N10,000 to Mrs Adebiyi. When asked to provide two copies of her passport photographs and a guarantor, Grace assured her boss-to-be that she would make them available by Saturday, January 28. However, what happened next has brought great grief to the family.
The woman's husband Mr Adebiyi and father of the 3 year old baby narrated what happened next. He said:

“I was not at home when the incident happened. But my wife told me that while Grace was leaving the shop, our three-year-old baby was crying after her. My wife allowed her to go with Grace without an inkling of any sinister motive.

“But after waiting for about five minutes without seeing them, she went out of the shop and saw Grace standing with a man whom she concluded could be her brother that was to come and stand as a guarantor for her. She went back into the shop.

“She was tempted to go out and look for them having waited for some time. But this time around, neither Grace, the stranger nor our baby was seen. She immediately called Grace’s phone. But she kept cutting the calls, saying she was in a noisy place.

“At a point, she switched off her phone. It is so strange because this particular baby does not like strangers carrying her. We have not heard anything from her since Saturday.”

The father added that there has been no call to demand for ransom for the release of their daughter.

South African rugby legend, Joost van der Westhuizen who has been battling with motor neuron disease, is reportedly depending on oxygen for survival. Speaking to Huisgenoot Friday, Joost’s brother Pieter, confirmed that the 45-year-old has been on oxygen for a while but decided to keep it away from the public and for the sake of his two kids.

‘Apparently, he has been placed on oxygen for a while now but decided to keep quiet about it. For the most part, much details about his health were not made public for the sake of his two children, Jordan (12) and Kylie (10). It’s incredibly tough. He’s not doing well, but he keeps on fighting.’

He added Van der Westhuizen, who is widely regarded as one of the game’s finest-ever scrumhalves, having played 89 Tests for the Springboks between 1993 and 2003 and scoring a record of 38 tries, has been suffering from the disease since 2011.

Bizarre footage shows Zendile Andries November asking a woman in his congregation about the 'pimples'.

The Victorious Faith Ministries pastor - who also claims he can cure Aids with the power of prayer - then removes his shoe and hands to the woman, who places it between her thighs.


She then dramatically drops to the floor with the churchman's footwear lodged between her legs.


After a visit to the bathroom, another woman announces that her friend's condition has been miraculously cured - to cheers from the congregation at the Bloemfontein church.
The pastor later told South African newspaper The Times : "The woman came to me about pimples on her honeypot. This made it impossible for her to sleep with her husband.

"Because the problem was on her private part I decided to use the shoe. I believe in miracles and God uses anything to heal."
