Good evening house. I got my denial letter last Thursday on the basis of purpose of vist only after linking my application online. Well it was not a painful information cos I have some other important things I am currently doing here in Nigeria.
Please I want to enquire when will they return my passport because I have not received any mail from VFS that my passport has been returned.
Also I have a valid Canadian Visitor visa on my passport. Hope it will still be valid.

Please house, I submitted my application by hand in Lagos on the 4th of this month. I was sent a confirmation of receipt mail that same day. On 6th I was sent another mail including my tracking ID. But up till now, whenever I check the status of my application I keep seeing "NO RECORDS FOUND". I've tried calling the vfs helpline but it doesn't go thru. I had to chat with one of their representatives after waiting for almost an hour and all he could say was it could be network issues. Please has anyone experienced this? How do I go about it? i will advice you to try linking ur application online instead of tracking using vfs' system which is not working anyway according to u but i genuinely believe there is nothing wrong |

I am 19. 2014 . Not employed. The thing is I actually did work for my uncle,who happens to be my sponsor. But it wasn't official like per say,cus I dint earn a monthly salary,I just get paid sometimes. current employment situation n purpose of visit... you are quite young for UG studies and still have a fair chance at getting a shot at it but before you try again, I will advise you do this. First order for your gcms at gcmsnow.com. This will give you the best clue as to what went wrong. Getting this will help you plan for your next application and help you restrategize on how to tackle this refusal. Also as @abestine admonished, look at how to resolve that issue.. You completed secondary in 2014 which show a gap of 3 years. You have to tackle this gap in your next application |

Computer science at York uni. Undergraduate how old are you, wen did u complete secondary and what did u write under employment when filling the forms... Seems the VO wasnt convinced about yur intention. I will advise u to order for gcms note to uncover how the VO looked at your application and what informed his decision to ''delay'' you. |

Hi guys...I'm applying for msc in canada..my issue is that all my documents carry the same name except my waec certificate that has an error with the other name..it was typed as wole instead of oyewole on every other documents...someone told me they don't accept affidavit for such in canada....Please I'm confused what should I do...Thanks. since you are applying for masters then u should not be worried abt your waec... All you need is post secondary certificates. Goodluck |

Good day my people!!! Please I need information as regards the University of Manitoba. I applied for a masters (may/July) and according to the graduate assistant my application as been reviewed and found to be acceptable just that ive not been able to secure a supervisor since January. Now I checked my account and it says under review in graduate studies of which it has been under review in department since. I would like to know should I be expecting a reject due to the fact that I didn't receive an mail from a staff stating he wants to accept me and all that. Thanks for your replies You've been advised to contact the school but i will also like to ask you whether you chose a thesis based program or coursed based program. Reason being all thesis based program is often based on availability of supervisors unlike course based. My advise is to see whether you can switch to course based if not too late as this may not require getting a supervisor. Goodluck NB: Some course based program also require supervisors. |

pls what is the meaning of co-op. let say civil engineering technician(optional co-op ''Co-ops are a joint venture between the university, a selected employer, and you''. It is a structured method of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience. For Co-op, you have to apply for a work permit as well as a study permit. |

Bt please, is it nw a scam cos I got a call from them and they told me to supply my email address so as to enable them sent the letter... Which I did and I got the mail..... Bt pls, hw did they nw get my number if it's Not from the embassy i dont think it's a scam. However, check if the email address is from the Government of Canada “gc.ca” or “Canada.ca” email account. The issue here is u r confusing email and gmail and u r using the two interchangeably. i believe it's email you mean. That's why i asked if you submitted the application yourself. Anyway your major headache now is to respond to CIC mispresentation mail...The content of the mail should give you a clue as to what you disclose or misrepresented to CIC. goodluck |

Did u submit your application in person and did you use an agent?? You also claimed in another post that you received a call from CIC asking for ur Gmail allergedly?? Lastly, you received an email notifying you to respond to misrepresentation issue within 15 days? NB:for your information if you are found guilty of misrepresentation u risked being banned for 5years.   |

Hello house.. Please is it bad one applying as self sponsored This is very important pals. I have saved adequately for my studies and at the moment, literally everyone is applying as being sponsored. Are my chances low if I apply as self sponsored with prove of that?? There is no harm appying as self sponspor if you can prove that you sufficient and available funds for the duration of your program. The difference between Sponspored applicant and a self sponsored applicant is that...... A sponsored applicant who is going for a 2years program MAY be allowed to show proof for funds for one year (made up tuition and living expenses) and a proof that his sponspor can cater for the subsequent year (this may be determined via various means like inflow and outflow shown on the bank statements, proof of sources of income, pay slips etc.) A self sponsored applicant in this case has to prove to the VO that he can cater for his studies for the duration of course. Thus, for the whole two years. Meaning if you are applying as a self sponsored applicant, you to show proof of funds for the whole two years (total tuition plus 20,000 cad for the 2years living expenses). The logic here is when apolying for study permit it's required of you to prove to the VO that you can cater for your studies without working in CAnada. |
