Politics › Re: IGP Disu Presents State Police Framework To Deputy Senate President by Omenlon: 7:09pm On Mar 26 |
Putindbutt: Since the electricity bill was signed into law two years ago, since power has been decentralized, how many state Governors have began the implentation?. How many states have began generating and distributing power?. Yet you see them boasting of huge allocations.
The only worry is ignorant folks and bitter losers who are still blaming the minister of power and calling out the President as if they didn't know every state can now generate its own power.
How are we sure they're ready to fund state police under them?. How are we sure they want to spend these fat allocations they receive on anything else apart from themselves?.
How many of them have allowed Local Government direct access to their allocations despite the Supreme Court judgement on Local Government autonomy?.
These Governors dey fall hand seriously. you are right, most governors are simply clueless. In regards to electricity, I thought by now some state, most especially those from south South should by now be self- sufficient and be extending to their neighboring states. |

Politics › Re: Some Expected Outcomes With The Implementation Of The “Electronic Transmission” by Omenlon: 9:43pm On Mar 18 |
BluntCrazeMan: SOME EXPECTED OUTCOMES WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEWLY INCLUDED “ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION” INSIDE THE NEWLY ENACTED “ELECTORAL ACT 2026”.
1. Most of the Presiding Officers would transmit the results from the Polling-Units with the BVAS Machines as usual; but then, THE TRANSMITTED RESULTS WOULD MOST-DEFINITELY NOT BE VISIBLE ON THE IREV PORTAL IMMEDIATELY. This is just exactly the way it had always been happening in all those past elections where there was no direct provision for the “Electronic Transmission” inside the Electoral Act --- But now, according to the requirements of the new Electoral Act 2026, “the Presiding Officer shall ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMIT the results from each polling unit to IREV Portal”. This means that there is not supposed to be much delays between the time when the transmission was done and the time when the transmitted results appear on the IREV Portal --- except of course if (and only “if”) there is “communication failure”, then that would be the only “excuse” why the transmitted results may not appear immediately on the IREV Portal.
2. Some of the Presiding Officers wouldn't even do any transmission of any results in the first place --- and they will quickly declare that “THERE IS COMMUNICATION FAILURE”; and that the “transmission” itself even refused to work from the BVAS Machines.
3. Some of the Presiding Officers would genuinely try the transmission of the results many times, BUT THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE BVAS MACHINES WOULD ACTUALLY REFUSE TO WORK, not to talk of the results appearing on the IREV Portal. And then, the INEC would end up Not providing the reasons or excuse for such failures which were not as a result of “Communication Failure” of any sort.
4. Due to some sharp games which might be played by the INEC Officials at the different levels of the results management, there might end up being up to five different versions of THE SAME Polling-Unit Results.. a) the INEC’s version which are provided in the CTCs b) the BVAS version which were captured and stored inside the BVAS Machines c) the IREV version which were successfully transmitted to the IREV-Portal. d) the PARTIES Duplicate version which were the duplicate copies that were given to the PARTIES. e) the POLICE Duplicate version which were the duplicate copies that were given to the POLICE. All these five versions of the results are fully supported by the Electoral Act, and they are all supposed to be the same thing all through. If at any point, there are discrepancies between any two or all of the five versions of the same results, then it becomes a clear case of “Institutional Manipulation of Results.
5. All of the above-mentioned scenarios would definitely happen on the Election Day, and still nobody would say (or do) anything about them, and FINAL RESULTS would still be announced --- (even when the discrepancies in the various versions of THE SAME RESULTS are very clearly visible to everyone). so you just dey so jobless so tey you sidon write this scrap, may God help you so that you can be engaged positively. |

Asmanthinket: Election without real time e transmission is useless. This is because the number of people who are always disfranchised as a result of manual results is much more greater than the numbers that are disfranchised as a result of lack of internet network Every reasonable patriotic nigerian should come out for a protest against manual results. some of you don't even know the meaning of real time or the issue you are pushing to the public. How does not transmiting election real time disenfranchised voters. I don't know how you people want to get what you don't have,. For now, APC has the numbers, any general election conducted in Nigeria today will be won by APC, anyhow you transmit the results, only a deluded optimist will argue otherwise. |

olatade: I strongly believe that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Frank Mba is the most qualified candidate for the position of Inspector General of Police. Nigeria needs to move toward appointments based purely on merit and competence. Favoring individuals from the President's tribe will damage national unity, undermine fairness, and discourage talented officers who have earned their place through hard work. please give us their resume and their track records before concluding. |
