I knew Tinubu would make Umahi his Minister of Works. I told some of my south east colleagues in the office but they just don't want to hear Umahi.

I'm happy Tinubu made the right choice in Umahi just like Wike for FCT.

Both guys have added value to Tinubu government.
it's one thing to appoint competent people, it's another thing to fund their ministries or agencies to enable them showcase their capabilities. For the first time we are hearing of FCT budget of a trillion naira, how much was the total amount for the ministry of works and housing for the last four years of Buhari and that of just 2024 of Tinubu? Though, that is not to take away the competency of Umahi.

Good one Dave Umahi. The bridge looks like a brand new one. The aesthetics is amazing.

Fashola couldnt achieve this for his home state.

Tomorrow now if Umahi decides to contest for Presidency, they will start foaming in their mouth he is an Igboman.

They will send out their useless thugs to go and attack people that wants to vote for competence.
it is people like you that will make it practically impossible for an Igbo man to become president of federal republic of Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Akin Alabi Distributes Generators, Grinding Machines, Others To Constituents by Omenlon: 1:24pm On Apr 04

Empowerment.... how many generators did he distribute?... 50? ... then he helped only 50 of his constituents. How were they chosen?... if random ... do they really need the generators/grinding machines? ... maybe already have or don't want. No doubt ... he can't afford to give each of his constituents something to help them ... but why not do something that will benefit a lot more of his constituents or the community? One small girl recently set up a borehole for a community ... politicians never think of such a more widely beneficial project. Is it they can't think outside the old box?.. or is it they know their constituents can't? ... attending meetings with the expectation of receiving oil and rice? Regardless ... as a leader he should be thinking and acting outside the box.
funny enough, everybody on social media is an expert on everything. Even those who can't use this seemingly expertise to liberate themselves from joblessness or under employment will be on nairaland schooling a successful entrepreneur, educationist, philanthropist and politician on how best to impact on his people.

Someone close to you should give you heavy knock on the head.
You're talking like he's doing them a favor with constituency budget.
What kind of thinking bedis? sad
in Nigeria context he is doing them a favour because some of his colleagues who won't spend their constituency money on their people will still be voted for by same people.

The military have no investigative authority over civilians, it should be the Military handing over suspects to the Police who would then investigate and prosecute the case!

Instead of This matter being thoroughly
investigated, we are just being fed the
army angle of the events and nobody
is listening to the allegations that the
people of Okuama have raised.

There have been cases where policemen
have gone on illegal duties and got killed
in the process and when investigations
carried out and the dead policemen were
found wanting, they are posthumously tried
and dismissed as the case may be.

For all we know, a whole colonel who
led a few officers and ranks and files to the
creeks, may have been trying to protect
an interest.

We are quite aware that postings to the
Niger Delta can be very rewarding to officers
who get involved in protecting oil bunkering
activities and get rewarded in the process.

It's quite possible the army may be
trying to protect certain their image. In fact
the GOC may even be involved
⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️
you are not too far from the truth. But then, that is the essence of investigation. All these steps will or may unravel the truth in the fullness of time.

When I said in the other thread that buffoons have taken power in Nigeria, it seemed like I was just hating on Tinubu government but it’s the truth.

Or tell me what this particular policy is meant to achieve.

Explain it to me like I’m in nursery school.

In the end, what they will achieve is that banks come together and merge together so they can get the 500billion naira base capital. That’s how we will end up having about just 5 commercial banks remaining.

So, ultimately they will end up shrinking Nigerians’ choices and leaving us at the mercy of just few banks who will treat us as they like because our options are limited.

If you disagree with this, then tell me the advantages of this policy.

I’ll wait
