These days, FAAN Job is strictly by connection. Once you have connection they can give you your letter at any time or day of the week. They hardly do public/online recruitment

but i know many people with connection that are being told to wait.

Only the connected enjoy. So many Yorubas need a job and they can't get it while some fulanis, Hausas or Igbos have gotten it. It is never a tribe thing. Every tribe that has connection enjoys at every point in time. I went for NBTE job test in Kaduna Polytechnic in 2016 and I met one fulani guy who came from Katsina. Told him he has no problem since Buhari was the president. He just smiled and told me the truth: he has no connection, there no guarantee he gets the job. Only those connected to those in power gets job. So many fulanis who want job won't yet it, yet some Igbos or Urhobos or Tiv will get it.

Getting jobs through slot should be a crime.
All those who engage in that nonesense are destroying Nigeria. There ought to be a open, competitive process and the best ought to get jobs.
