Queen Yaa Asantewaa (c.1840–17 October 1921) (pronounced YAY A-san-TE-waa) was appointed queen mother of Ejisu of the Ashanti Empire—now part of modern-day Ghana—by her brother Nana Akwasi Afrane Okpese, the Ejisuhene "ruler of Ejisu". In 1900 she led the Ashanti rebellion known as the War of the Golden Stool against British colonialism

Iz it kinda different when a guy dumps you for a girl from his race, tribe or nationality

it looks like he wanted to try something different but he came to the conclusion that his tribes/race women are better off or he was just being patriotic . that must have been painful for his ex, who loved him despite him being from another tribe
