well aliexpress,alibaba are china based ,while konga and jumia are nigerian based(but has spread to other few african countries),amazon and ebay are us based.They don't own the shipping companies but some partner with the shipping companies.well you have to be careful with your atm to avoid any unauthorized transaction,if it is stolen quickly report that to your atm issuing bank.
only jumia and konga have warehouses in nigeria.
in term on shipping logistics it depends on the efficiency of postal services used and they service they provide,you want very fast shipping then you have to pay more or settle for slow delivery...

Exactly, I thought it would be fair on my part to be the one to inform my ex. But people have raised some salient points here suggesting I jettison the idea no matter my intentions for wanting to. They're saying that my ex may not see things from my own perspective. Hong Kong post only works if you're ordering from Hong Kong. If ordering from Singapore, it's Singapore post. Just like NIPOST is for Nigeria.

Does not only work if your ordering from hong kong..most mailing companies now have mailing hubs in china because of the large e-commerce market for example swedish post,swiss post,post nl,etc

I want to order some phones and ship with DHL to Abuja, Nigeria. But with all I've been reading about Customs duty and the likes, I'm wondering where I'll have to pay the fees. Is it in Lagos or Abuja?

I stay in Abuja. Would I have to go down to Lagos customs office to clear the phones or here in Abuja. I'm actually confused about this.

Also, is there any way I can dodge paying much? If I use other (free shipping) methods like Singapore Post, would I have to pay such fees? Does Nipost charge like that too?

dhl and ups somethings do take customs duty but don't know the complete reason for that,and that should be taken in your city of residence.
secondly if you want to avoid custom duty why not break your packages into different shipment using less expensive shipment like china post et all

If you doubt me, try and get to their headoffice at nahco then request to see their GM and ask him the question then you will get the answer or probably call their customer care line when they demand for the money and see how everytthing unfolds.

Anyway for C tracking; you will pay N500 upwards then E, you will pay N1,500 upwards then for R and L, they are free, don't be deceived they would give you receipt. ask them when they have become custom officials or when their office has become Nipost headoffice that access and charge goods that arrives in the country

guess is a general thing all my parcel this year except few have paid money(#500) but have always been given nipost receipt..
