Politics › Re: Lere Olayinka Reacts To Two Contradictory Peter Obi Comments On Subsidy Removal by Osebanjo(m): 11:35pm On Aug 12, 2025 |
Shattuck: removing subsidy immediately is quite relative, when you take into consideration of the context, I have seen other interviews of obi when he talked about adjusting the subsidy removal to become a gradual process and also providing certain incentives to reduce the effect of the removal, so it is slightly ignorant when people just take his words out of context just to score cheap political points. Maybe he would have removal subsidy while maintaining exchange rate, maybe he would have faced agricultural reform to acertain level of food sustainability before removing subsidy, or maybe he would have secured a certain deal to refuse inflation. Maybe! Maybe!! Maybe!!! Well I give no f or trust any politician by the way and it’s all quite good it’s all maybe from your side too. |

lionshare: It's normal to change your opinion in light of new reality or information. What's not ideal is failing to acknowledge that change in opinion — that's duplicitous. Thats where he’s creating more problems. He campaigned with “He’ll remove subsidy immediately” so what other reality are you talking about? This same one the country is facing because someone else did or he’d remove it and once he sees the reality he’d back out? Government isn’t science where you test run for a long time before perfecting stuff for official use. |

BlackViper: This only covers the financial statements of five of the biggest companies in Nigeria:
MTN Nigeria, Dangote Cement, Seplat Energy, Nestlé Nigeria, and BUA Cement.
In other words, the biggest companies with the largest market capitalisation and the necessary liquidity to survive sluggish economic growth are the ones being highlighted.
Hundreds of small to medium sized companies continue to go out of business and those that don't are operating well below their capacity utilisation. Theres recapitalization going on in almost the sectors. Every one of them will be fine at the end. Many of them which we believed to be medium/small sized have been able to recapitalize successfully and few that won’t meet up will surely merge. I think investors are putting in more money in the NGX so I doubt many will be closing. |

But now is the right time to invest your money on stock in Nigeria. It was banks just two-three weeks ago, it’s insurance and consumer goods since last week. |

However, Yeshua or Jesus is a Christian construct even though Yeshua was not a Christian. Getting the name right is very critical otherwise we could be worshipping demons while mistaking it to be Christ. Hello bro. Is it ok if I DM you |

why did the ekeremadus not approach their family members? why did they look for an unknown pauper?
why did they knowingly attempt to break the Uks clear and unambiguous laws on drug donors? Not defending anyone here but Ekweremadu was clearly out of the known. It was a Case of a doctor knows who. Ekweremadu was just trying to save his daughters life nothing more. I believe if he’d done it in China, he would have succeeded. There are good records of donors there unlike what happened with him and the boy. |

You guys have to rest about this indigenous stuffs and all. It’s not as if many of you lots will take it lightly becoming a stranger in your own aboriginal land. Even Australia, Canada and e.t.c are all recognizing the aborigines and doing everything to make up for years of wrongdoing. I’m not sure Obi can win any party’s primary truth be told. He doesn’t seems to take politics seriously. Only trying his luck and banking on his Obidient supporters. Only a party that would give him the ticket unopposed just like LP did in 2023 would favor him. |

descarado: Surprisingly, if Jonathan decides to run, he will get a very lukewarm welcome. Contrary to what others may think, we all know why Jonathan is being courted. He will not get any vote from South East. Time south east start playing national politics the right way instead of using emotions. The best bet as it is for them right now is the north. North has fully extended their hands, they will be very stupid not to grab it. Jonathan coming g to the table is working against them and yes, south east need this. South South can follow Jonathan. Right now, it's to your teeth oh isreal. All zones should work for what favours them. GEJ might eventually contest because the North indeed needs a southerner that won’t cross the 4 year tenure constitutionally. The votes in the north will be shared between GEJ, APC and Atiku for sure. South will do Atiku dirty unless Obi agree to be his running mate. SW will definitely follow PBAT and he’ll be getting few votes across SS with the defections going on there. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Osebanjo(m): 6:13am On Aug 05, 2025 |
AirBere: My opinion about all your midfielders is that the best is Pedri, followed by Dejong. But Dejong in the DM position is asking for too much trouble. He's a player that needs protection but here he's the protector. No team is getting away in UCL with a player like Dejong as protector. Not happening.
Dejong is a central midfielder that needs a defensive midfielder to pair with. His best football was with Xavi with Busquet as anchor. At Ajax, he had Lascher Shone. Xavi although a wack coach never trusted him in that role and would rather play the shadow of Busquet than play him. There's a reason Xavi rushed to buy average Joe Romeu to protect Dejong. He's a CM not DM. Lacks positional awareness so much.
Dejong is better than Casado overall but as a DM, Casado clears him so much that it's not close. I'm happy that people like Swiiz already see how good Casado is and I think he'll do better in that DM role for United and other EPL teams including Chelsea. I mean Casado is better than Maino and Bruno in that CM/DM role. For 30m? EPL should be looking 👀 I think Marc Bernal will actually be the starting DM once he’s back while FDJ will be pushed to his CM alongside Pedri. So Casado/Eric will backup for Bernal. That should probably be the plan. |

Baddestguyp: I've been saying it...
The only thing De Jong does is to hold possession...
He can't create chances, can't shoot, can't defend, can't tackle... Cant defend but he’s played CB several times. De Jong loves to hold possession fine but he also has final good passes and he can also fall back to help the team at the back when defending. He’s a great player no lies. |

Water will find its way and there isn't any drainage you can build to evacuate that amount of water which is why it is called a flash flood.
When the rain stops, the water will go down. It is normal I know bro. All the same we have poor drainage system in Nigeria. |

Open gutter filled with dirts or roads without no drainage system at all. But in all honesty, Lagos state and many other states in Nigeria really need to prioritize a well functioning drainage system. Flood happens but surely can be managed. |

So I want to understand other guys, what’s your relationship with women like? Do they admire you, so much so that you toast them and spend on them as per relationship?Or do you carry expensive oloshos for high fees? How much leaves your account for a woman in a week? 2k?
