officially signing out..... done with this thread. zooming off to UI thread till admission clicks in the next 3-4months take care @ all FIGHTING |
UI will really be competitive this year but most high scorers might be over thrown at the end. I know that I did little but God's grace was overtly sufficient. My admission this year will be a function of the abounding grace of God. I checked my result now and saw 2*3 as my score. I rep mechanical engineering FIGHTING |
@treasure8 u re discreetly and pertinaciously keeping to ur pledge of hitting UI's admission wishing u lucks FIGHTING |
Grace101:thanks boss......I dont just know how to thank u. send them all to Polymath93@gmail.com @princecee, u Don just know how I need all these materials. thanks for the complement though. FIGHTING |
@ thewhizzkid, I ve see read the Chem a little and it's explicit in explanation but isn't there any other text that gives more elucidate explanation? @mathfero, thanks but most a times I prefer hardcopy. I will start downloading lots of them now. FIGHTING |
tolaxin:I ve lamlad's. I mean for advance level. Pls do reply in the thread created for the purpose cos I will really appreciate. FIGHTING |

www.nairaland.com/2193974/please-which-chemistry-textbook-best pls help a brother. Am an undergraduate aspirant in UI FIGHTING |
Please dear nairalanders, I ve come to ve passion for chemistry and based on o'level stuff, am currently using new school and lamlad chemistry which is way too good for jamb preps. But I want to deepen my insight of chemistry within the few months left for UI to give admission since I applied for mechanical engineering in UI. So gurus and chemists in Nairaland, I will really appreciate if u guys could help and list some textbooks even foreign texts which are good for studying chemistry and alongside the reasons why it's the best. Thanks in anticipated... FIGHTING |
P0lyMath:I ve discovered that uniben doesn't offer the course but a close substitute which is geography and regional planning... pls someone that knows about the course should tell me the requirements I.e the subject combination. cos I ve a friend that wants to do COC after her JAMB's exam and she wants to veer from her current chosen school which is IMSU to Uniben. pls do help a soul in need asap and thanks in anticipation... FIGHTING |
P0lyMath: |
pls does uniben offers estate management? FIGHTING |
Pr0ton:somebody gave me the question. And with the two formula I ve with me, I ve been consistently getting 7.8m/s^2 but the person said that the ans given in the textbk(comprehensive) is 12.7m/s^2 FIGHTING |
Profkunlexxy:absolutely not the answer dear... FIGHTING |
If a body of 2Kg mass is at a distance of 7200km from the centre of the earth. What would the acceleration due to.gravity be at this point in the earths field? house help me with this piece FIGHTING |
cassyrooy:lemme pm u boss. u know the reason fa na but if u don't ve it Bro,just tell me so as not to stress myself FIGHTING |
DrHost: circumference of each turn=2*22/7 *2/100=88/700m length of the coil=700*88/700=88m mass of the coil=3300g If 88m=3300g then,1m=3300g/88=37.5g (c) @Cassy, were u the one that posted where to check the jamb statistics ? If yes, I know that u might ve the accredited site for reprinting... FIGHTING |
tobillionaire: 5km/h=25/18m/s distance covered by the man in 10s=25/18 *10=125/9 m distance covered for the train to move past the man is 125m .total distance =125/9 +125 =1250/9 v=1250/9 *1/10=125/9 v=125/9 * 18/5 v=50km/h or 13.89m/s FIGHTING |
[quote author=horpeyemmi66 post=30952457] 3. A body of mass 20kg is set in motion by two forces 2N and 4N, acting at right angles to eachother. Determine the magnitude of its acceleration. A. 4 meters per sec sq B. 2.89 meters per sec sq C. 0.35 meters per sec sq D. 0.25 meters per sec sq E. 0.05 meters per sec sq another approach to this is by finding the resultant force using Pythagoras theorem. R=√[2^2+4^2] R=√20 R=2√5 a=F/m a=2√5/20 a=√5/10 a=0.22m/s^2 FIGHTING |
my questions blatantly murdered...... chai diaris god ooo I know fully well that we re going against the thread's statute so I and other science students re penitently sorry for the misconduct. and that's y I said that the question above will be my last question... @pr0ton and funkysilver, UI turned me into a fighter FIGHTING |
If proton, neutron n electron formed atom, then what formed those discrete particles that formed the atoms? what is their charge? balmer's series of hydrogen spectrum can be seen in what energy level? what's the nature of the balmer's spectrum? why is hydrogen peroxide stored in dark bottles? who re those that discovered bromine and iodine respectively? another name for optical isomers is? the reaction between alkanal and hydroxlamine gives what? are enantiomers super imposable?,give reason for the ans does terminal alkyne undergo substitution reaction?.give reason for the ans.... it's ten questions...... and will be my last question … FIGHTING |
estijaz:am sorry for being so fast... Na neco f/maths question be that FIGHTING |
for no1 question … 1/CosZ =SecZ=1/L=hyp/adj Hyp=1, adj=L. So to get the other side we make use of Using Pythagoras theorem. Let the other side be x, therefore x=√{1-L^2} CotZ=CosZ/Since, CosecZ=1/SinZ and SecZ=1/CosZ (CosZ/SinZ -1/SinZ)/(1/CosZ +SinZ/CosZ ) (CosZ -1/SinZ )/(1+SinZ /CosZ ) (CosZ -1/SinZ )*(CosZ /1+SinZ ) (Cos^2Z-CosZ )/(SinZ +Sin^2Z) L^2-L/(√{1-L^2} + {√1-L^2}^2 (L^2 -L )/{1-L^2 +√[1-L^2]} FIGHTING |
no. wonder UI is still the first and the best cos her students really collection of the bests....... @estijas, u murdered the question with great ease.... I ve actually accessed the answers and they re perfectly on alignment FIGHTING |
