Toks2008:
Inasmuch as I respect the decision of some ladies not wanting to put up a dp I just wonder how a guy will just send a PM to an anonymous entity.

This is not about dating or romance but it just sounds strange for me to hook up with a lady I have no idea of how she looks....what if she is a robot.
This sounds funny to me. I can easily decide if I'm interested in you from the way you chat, if it's just friendship. If it's more than that, I keep on chatting with you and If you get a "pass" in that aspect, I can then be interested in your looks...

I don't understand u ladies how do u want to be friends with a guy that wants to date & be an intimate relationship with u. (looking for who to Friendzone).
I don't think Friendzoning is the case. Personally, I can't date someone I hardly know and I can only know you and then determine if I want to date you by being friends first. Therefore, I don't see it as Friendzoning.

FamilyRe: When Your Wife Is Richer Than You by Pearl005(f): 5:27pm On Apr 21, 2017
Mynd44:
Part of the reason why men dont like when their wife is richer is because they want to dominate the woman but the more financialy independent a person (male or female), the less possible it is to doninate that person. So they say a richer woman will be proud but it is that she will not agree to be subjugated.

They also seem to think a richer wife won't have time to take care of the home. They want a maid as a wife who will be in the kitchen or in the bed.

Personally, if I have a wife that's richer, better for us as the family have more disposable income and the standard of living rises. I dont see the need to control my wife as we are partners, we can just be ourselves.

And on the issue of taking care of the house, my wife is not a maid. I will rather employ a maid and pay the maid to do that. Heck, aint nothing sexier than your wife going for a board meeting and coning back to "thank" you for supporting her prepare for it.

But then again, what do I know? I dont even have a GF.
Just saying!

angry angry Oh! I also don't have a BF grin grin grin

FamilyRe: Share Your Challenges As A First-born by Pearl005(f): 1:40pm On Apr 19, 2017
Maychang:
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, the challenges and how tough it has been as a first born child.

I often heard that many of us go through a lot of challenges which could be fustrating and sometimes, lead to depression.

I also know a handful of my kind who have found it hard in every area of Life- Job, Marriage... infact all areas of life.

I remember how hard it was to scale through secondary school- i remember staying at home for 2 terms for school fees. Even gaining admission to the university was very tough- it was just as though the devil was so interested in my case. After years of struggling , I finally gained admission to the university with many challenges as well.

Now, to the Glory of God Im out of school, Nysc certified, patching up with a small scale company- yet i dont feel satisfied with
what Life has offered me. I feel cheated and its annoying when you have to struggle to get jobs with youths who had graduated at age 20/21... and you are just there looking for vacancies that has no age barrier.

My pastor once said i needed to pray well because the devil targets the first born of the family. he said i had to run to God to rescue me. Well...I did pray for many years but things are worse.

I look at my younger brother sometimes and see how well things went for him; most times without stress. I look at other families as well and see how the younger ones are faring well compared to the Eldest. Its really depressing.

Why is Life not fair to us?
I can relate to your situation.... Mine is even more...I have 5 siblings and I'm still struggling like crazy. Most times, I feel like others are leaving me behind.... I have to struggle to do everything, I mean everything.

Here's a view of some of them in my collection.
Can you please send me a link to download those Clive cussler books? Or send them to0 @ gmail. com

Madam, u have no problems. Your husband loves and cares for you. Give him his private space. Stay off his phones and stop snooping around him. Eavesdroppers never hear good of themselves. You are 7 months pregnant, and such can hardly satisfy the sexual needs of your virile husband. At least condoms confirm that he practices safe sex, and nothing is lost. Things will normalize when you are fit again. Create a conducive atmosphere in your home and watch your marriage flourish. Stop making your home a hell on this earth.

FamilyRe: Why Women Hide Money From Their Husbands! by Pearl005(f): 2:50pm On Mar 04, 2017
Fyorgyn:
Interesting but shallow article. I am of the opinion that the writer should have explored other reasons women "hide" money.

There is an age-old saying that "Every (good) woman should have a "secret stash" her husband knows nothing about.

Men and women are fundamentally different. Many men, bless their hearts, live for the moment... they believe if you have it, spend it! They are risk takers who can spend their last dime without thinking twice. A wise woman keeps resources aside because one day, the family business might need a cash boost, a job might be lost, the car engine might knock etc

Another reason women keep money is to have an "escape" fund. You don't pray to have a divorce or a bad marriage but many have used their "secret stash" to flee abusive marriages.

Women keeping secret stash is not peculiar to Nigeria alone. It's a really old "tradition" that has passed from generation to generation of women the world over. For instance, in this usnews article, the writer says her grandmother advised her to have one.
http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/alpha-consumer/2008/03/19/should-women-keep-a-secret-money-stash.

Almost every woman I know keeps a secret stash with very good intentions. I used to have secret stashes but recently I realized it wasn't really fair to my husband who is very open with me about his financies. I still keep money but it's not really secret. He doesn't ask me about it and he has no idea how much I keep aside. He just knows it's for contingencies. We have come to that understanding.
On point!!!
I love your write up. Your head dey dia
FamilyRe: Why Women Hide Money From Their Husbands! by Pearl005(f): 2:43pm On Mar 04, 2017
There is this man I know. He is a contractor which means his income is not always stable. Sometimes, he may not get any contract for a long stretch and it will be the girlfriend helping him out financially.
This man doesn't know the concept of saving , no matter how much the partner talks about it. He is very generous with money and believes the girlfriend, who is a salary earner should be the same.
She tried his method for a while. They'll add their income together, spend it and at the end of the day, they will both end up broke due to the guy's way of spending.
In this kind of situation, will you blame the lady for keeping money from the guy?
