Boko Haram breakaway extremist group, Ansaru, has claimed responsibility for some of Nigeria’s most despicable violence lately.

The group, which came to prominence early 2012, recently took credit for a brutal abduction and killing of seven foreign construction workers in Bauchi.

One leader of the group, who is a son of north’s ruling elite (likely an emir), said while they subscribe partially to the ideology of Boko Haram, they go more after foreigners; and do not brook any inkling of rescue effort by any government.

The United States on Friday released a damning report (its annual country report on human rights for 2012), indicting the Jonathan administration for doing almost nothing to reduce corruption in Nigeria.

Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, is relieved his second son, Dzhokhar, was captured alive Saturday, and is asking the 19-year old to bare it all to the police and withhold nothing.
Mr. Tsarnaev spoke to ABC News, and maintained his conviction his children were innocent.
