When I was almost lost into the world of disbelief, I (by the Grace of God) got understanding of the devil's pattern.

Before then I thought the devil can only attack a believer through spiritual or physical forces. But I was wrong. The strongest and the most effective scheme of the devil is neither physical nor spiritual, but pyscological and intellectual. He finds a way of getting to your thoughts and emotions, he brings up arguments that seem really rational, such as would make you give him a chance, and then, he takes control of your life.

I particularly didn't understand the passage that says: (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 2Cor 10 v 4. I thought the warfare was a spiritual warfare or at worse a physical warfare,
but the kind of warfare was clearly stated in the next verse.

2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

the warfare is against imaginations, and thoughts and arguments against the knowledge of God.
