You enter buy, it goes against you immediately, you enter sell, it goes opposite ways. Only good swingers enjoy the market small.

If you have an edge that gives you good money management and good risk reward ratio, stick to it, if you have such you don't know what you have.
Even as a scalper, risking high can be tedious many times. One mistake like this takes you out and gives you a hallow of drawdown.

Even if you have a good strategy, you will still battle the brokers that have crazy and robust programs and algorithms to take you out at your stop loss and revert immediately to your direction, and when you are in profit, it moves so slow and you wonder who stops the market to move in your favour.
Little by little, we will get there.

Build a strategy that will cut your loss and give you good results with time. Not everytime you are needed in the market. Reduce your pairs you like to trade. If you are not experienced, stay away from gold, dax, dow, nas and oil. They are account killers.
A good 30 mins swing can give you 200 pips weekly on a pair and let you have peace of mind. Reduce the number of time you spend on charts, looking for what to enter everytime, which is the main reason many of us loose.
Stay focused and stay profitable.
Again Forex trading is harder than you think, don't listen to all those telegram and YouTube fake life profs that only trade on phone demos and will never show you the laptop version that will expose them.

Thanks so much for your input. I'm just gonna see the trade through since I got in at a good price and I'm risking very little as this is my first time trading the pair. My SL is slightly above last week high. If the SL does hit, i will be waiting next at that 1.73× zone instead hoping price gets there so I can sell it down. I think that 1.715× zone you mentioned may not be strong enough to send it downwards for the massive impending bearish move.

Hello Peter, may I know why you're closing? I don't trade the SGD at all, but when I saw your chart, I pulled it up and think the resistance is strong enough to drop it to the next support at least, if not deep down below.
I entered with just 40pips SL, enough to prove to me it's a failed trade if breached and the risk-reward to the next support is an almost massive 1:10, so it's worth the risk as I would have entered still even if it was a 1:3rr trade or even 1:2rr because it met my trading criteria.

This is a daily chart showing the strength of the resistance according to my own pattern, so would love to hear your input too.

I closed because on the weekly time frame, I just realised that there is a resistance at 1.69972 that has already being broken and the market closed above it on weekly close. So, there is tendency that the market could still rise to the 1.71528 level and I don't want to experience that. It may happen and it may not happen but I have seen market do that many times.

On GOLD/AUD, I have been on it since last month December 20th, even at the time they claim that trading is no advisable but the market gave me a rosy pattern, I had to jump into it and allow it to ride. I am 800pips on it and it still has room to run to the upside. Gold pairs is sweet. You will enjoy it when you get it right. This year go sweet.
