I am confident in Christianity because I have witnessed spiritual phenomena, such as the casting out of demons, miracles, and divine prophecies that have come to pass. These experiences have convinced me that there is a God and that Christianity is the true faith. However, I struggle with the Prosperity Gospel. I often question whether this gospel truly comes from God, especially when many pastors claim to have divine revelations that guide their sermons. I am particularly troubled by certain doctrines within the Prosperity Gospel, such as the emphasis on giving in order to receive something in return, the use of holy communion as a means for blessings, and teachings about money in the church. For instance, the idea that poverty is a generational curse is not supported by scripture. This makes it difficult for me to reconcile these teachings with biblical doctrine. The debate surrounding Prosperity Gospel is significant in theological circles, and it becomes even more confusing when people share testimonies of benefits received from these practices, especially within charismatic circles. While not all teachings in this sphere are debatable such as repentance and prayer I am concerned about the intentions behind these practices. Are pastors preaching this way for financial gain, or are they simply misinterpreting scripture while genuinely seeking to serve God? This concern is exacerbated when I see pastors living lavish lifestyles, such as owning private jets, large houses, and expensive cars, while claiming that these blessings come from God rather than from offerings. This is especially disconcerting in a country like Nigeria, where corruption is prevalent despite the presence of numerous ministries. I am also troubled by the fact that some powerful pastors, despite their apparent success and miracles, are later exposed for misconduct. As a firm believer in God, I find it challenging to understand and reconcile these issues within the body of Christ. The inconsistencies and controversies surrounding Prosperity Gospel and the behavior of some leaders leave me confused about the true nature of their message and the overall direction of the church. |
My team and I have been working on research for a few months now, which involves calls, on-ground surveys, and discussions with locals from all 36 states and the FCT. The research includes questions on ethnicity, religion, economic status, and political preference. While it is commonly believed in Nigeria that there are more Muslims, the results of the survey suggest otherwise. Here are the figures we used the latest 2023 population estimates by states to come up with the figures by state. yungkels:I don't take drugs nor smoke. |
I do have wied dreams at times of me being naked I do forget alot of them, but I remember a few please what could this mean? |
9jatriot:I agree with you |
OVB123:They make use of available census figures which can't be reliable. |
I have lived in Nigeria for 18 years and during my stay here I have lived in various states and cities.I find it hard to believe that nigeria's population is anywhere near to even 150million because outside densely populated cities like lagos,Abuja,Kano,Benin and few other cities what we get to see is expanse of sparsely populated regions this applies to both northern and southern nigeria. We shouldn't forget that population estimate are given by available census estimate that's and census figures out of nigeria is usually inflated for political and ethnicity reasons.Even the latest 2006 census was criticised of manipulation and inflation of figures. So what do you think? |
Only a reliable census will reveal Nigerias true population. These are questions we should ask ourselves.Since when was a census conducted in nigeria? That was in 2006 and that census placed the Country population at about 140Million.Little to know that census was rejected by many nigerians at that Time as there we're Claims of Manipulation of figures by Not only politicians but even the census officials. This did Not only happen in the Northern Part of the Country it Cut across down the south. It just that the one of the North was more prevalent and went against the laws of Geography. As an Arid Area had more population than areas along the coastline or with suitable Climate for rainfall That is supposely a "FAT LIE" I have Two Elder brothers who took Part in the 2006 census as enumirators they Keep telling me on how they inflated figures in various Communities in katsina state they said a Village will be counted and will have a population of 800 then in return the Village head will Pay them a sum of Money and they will hike the Numbers to 3000 or so.Things like this have been reported by several census officials Nationwide. Now another thing we forgetting is the LAGOS issue according to the 2006 census Lagos had a population of 9Million this figure was Not accepted by the Lagos state Government due to Claims of Deflation of the state population meaning Lagos has a much higher population than that as the state claimed it had it own headcount that placed it at 17Million.Now this issues stated out has created unreability of The NPC(National population Commission) This census figures have been used by the United Nation to give Estimate of the Country population and that Why the population is placed at 213Million.So this population can Not be said to be accurate or true.In Nigeria we're we get to see densely populated areas are in cities like Lagos,Kano,Abuja, and ibadan and the Rest of the Country which is the majority of the Country Landmass is Left with sparsley populated areas with Towns and Villages stretched far from each other This is applicable to both the North and south.I have been to different Part of uganda.a Country with similar population Density as Nigeria and yet the whole Country felt conjested and thickly populated.Nigeria is not up to 200Million in population terms.People will say the North has high birth rate but look .Niger Republic with the same Culture,Religion and Climate of Northern Nigeria has a population of barely 25Million Niger even has a higher Fertility rate.So we're are the so called millions in the North that make 50% of the Country population ![]() Nigeria population is a Scam we can Never know the actual population of this Country is Till a reliable census takes place Away from Political interferance!!!! Personally i Think the actual population of Nigeria should be somewhere around 110 to 130 Million if Not Less!!!! |

I have been wondering for a while what could the actual population of Nigeria be Many claim census figures are beign manipulated and this has triggered Wild Estimate of the countrys population which places the Country at a population of about 200Million.So i Need all your opinions or suggestions on what Nigeria actual population could be. |
