Tonto Dikeh took to Instagram to share an email she got from a self-confessed assassin allegedly sent to kill her.
The assassin claimed to be in the business of killing people for 12 years and also gave the actress a Bitcoin wallet address to pay money into or face his wrath in 2 days. God will restore Pastor Fatoyinbo even if he is guilty of rape allegation against him - CAN chairman

Rev. Israel Akanji, the North-Central Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has stated that God will restore Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo even if he is found guilty of the rape allegation against him by Busola Dakolo.
The CAN Chairman backed his claim of the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) being restored by God with the Biblical account of the condemned thief pardoned by Jesus Christ at the Cross of Calvary.

The Pastor said while preaching to his members at the First Baptist Church in Garki area of Abuja;

“I still pray for that pastor (Fatoyinbo). I am not sure he erred; I have no right to judge because I don’t know whether the accusations against him are true or false. It has yet to be determined but even if it is true, I still pray that God will restore him fully to the work of the ministry.
“Individuals locked up by the EFCC who are seen to be the worst people on the face of the earth… we pray for them. And that church, we needed to go and speak and pray with them because of what they were passing through and that is what we did.
“Now, people may have different opinions but I hold the bible as the pastor, First Baptist Church, Garki, Abuja. I have no regret that I went to that church (COZA). I didn’t go there to endorse evil but I wanted to say that even if you are the worst sinner, Jesus Christ still has a place for you.”
He said critics should always ask, “What will Jesus do?” before making judgments.
“If Jesus were in our generation, he would be criticised for things he did. So, is it what people say that matters? Not in all cases. Yes, some things people say matter but when it has to do with eternity and the kingdom of God, it doesn’t matter what anybody says.
“I pray that all those who have seen this as an entry point to fight the Christian faith in this nation will fail in the name of Jesus. God, I pray for that Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo. He told me he gave his life to Christ in the Baptist Student Fellowship of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Ilorin.
“I didn’t go there (COZA) because he was a Baptist. I didn’t know he had anything to do with Baptist. I just went and he saw me as a father. I thank you, God. And I pray that you intervene such that the needed correction should there be any, be made
“And God, you, who denied Peter after he denied you in your mercy, you will restore your servant.
“I pray that the family which felt wounded, should that be true, please heal their minds, restore them as well.”

The Presidency has dismissed Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) allegation that the one billion dollars drawn from the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was spent by the Muhammadu Buhari administration on the 2019 general elections.
The Peoples Democratic Party in a statement on Sunday asked Buhari to explain to Nigerians what his administration had done with one billion dollars drawn from the ECA in 2017 and meant to address the nation’s security challenges.
The amount was approved by the National Economic Council in December, 2017, to be used to purchase weapons to fight insurgency across the country.
However, Malam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, said “this unverifiable allegation’’ clearly indicated that the PDP was suffering from socio-emotional distress.
He said PDP ”thinks that all governments in the world run on the basis of freewheeling looting as they did their own.
”Here is what happened to that 1 billion dollars. It’s on record that the Buhari administration paid about 490 million dollars for a dozen Super Tucano fighter aircraft in a direct, government-to-government (no Contractors or Commission Agents) transaction with the government of the United States.
”Various other military procurement has been made. Balance of expenditure stands at about 880 million dollars or so. The PDP spent Defence procurement funds on their failed 2015 political campaigns as proven in court. That is not to say every succeeding government, more so one led by a Buhari will do the same.”
The presidential aide added that barring considerations of national security, the details of the stage of implementation, the procurement made and the suppliers would be obtained and made available on Monday.

Gboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun state, says he felt very ridiculed when he contested the state governorship election with a person like Senator Ademola Adeleke popularly known as the Dancing Senator, in September 2018.
Speaking while receiving the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) led by Yemi Farounbi in his office earlier today July 17th, Governor Oyetola suggested that Adeleke ought to have been screened out of the governorship race.

Breaking: Court Orders Patience Jonathan To Forfeit $8.4 Million, N9.2 Billion To Federal Government
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun of the Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the forfeiture of ex First Lady Patience Jonathan’s $8.4 million and N9.2 billion to the Federal Government.

Delivering judgement in the suit filed before her court by the EFCC today Monday July 1st, Justice Olatoregun held that the money is reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.

She granted an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that the money should be permanently forfeited.

The judge held that Mrs Jonathan could not prove that the money was legitimately earned.

Mrs Jonathan's lawyer, Ifedayo Adedipe (SAN), had held that the money in question were cash gifts the former first lady received from well wishers while her husband, Goodluck Jonathan, was in office.

Senior civil Servants in the country have threatened to go on strike over alleged breach of public service rules and non-implementation of agreements entered into with the management of National Insurance Commission, NAICOM.

The senior workers under the aegis of Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, ASCSN, have specifically given a seven-day ultimatum to the NAICOM Commissioner for Insurance to address all their grievances or risk industrial action by their association.

In a letter dated June 26, 2019 by the Secretary-General of ASCSN, Isaac Ojemhenke, the association said,

“We are constrained to inform you that at a meeting of the ASCSN members which was held in Abuja on the 24th June, 2019, it was unanimously agreed that the Management of the National Insurance Commission should be issued a 7 day ultimatum for it to implement all agreements it had reached with the union and also comply with the provisions of other relevant Public Service Rules on the issues in perspective following which an industrial action will be kick-started in the Commission.
“It is necessary to state that ASCSN wishes to be absolved of blames when the strike action commences as a result of the failure of the management to meet the union’s demands within the seven days window opened for it to do the needful.
“It is also necessary to inform you that this letter has been endorsed to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance, The Director General, Department of State Security, The Inspector General of Police, Nigeria Police Force and The Chairman Governing Board, National Insurance Commission for their information and necessary action.”
ASCSN which constitutes Council I of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Councils, JNPSNC, and also a frontline affiliate member of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, of Nigeria, said it was constrained to intimate the NAICOM management of its preparedness to resume the industrial action in the NAICOM as result of “flagrant breach of the Public Service Rules and the collective agreement reached by parties on the 26th of September, 2017. This agreement was observed in the breach.”

ASCSN stated that the terms of agreement the necessary parties signed at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment on the 28th August, 2018, after the union suspended its three days warning strike action included activation of the NAICOM portal, bridging the gap between senior manager and below vis-à-vis the directorate cadre and the cascading of fuel and diesel allowances. Other agreements were the promotion exercise for 2018, conclusion on the on-going investigation of ADHR, condition of service for NAICOM staff and non-victimization clause for workers on account of their participation in the industrial action.

The union however, stated that “We are sad to observe that after about two years, when the initial agreement was signed i.e. the 26th of September, 2017, the Management of the Commission has blatantly refused to implement the terms of the agreement in spite of several appeals made to it by relevant stakeholders, including the Union.

President Buhari yesterday openned up on why his administration dealt with the immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.

Justice Onnoghen was suspended in January this year over claims he failed to declare all his assets when he assumed office in March 2017 and also after suspicious amount of money were found in his Naira and foreign accounts. He was tried at the Code of Conduct Tribunal and in May, the former CJN tendered in his resignation.

President Buhari while receiving members of the Pan Yoruba group, Afenifere in his office in the state House Abuja yesterday June 25th, said he went after the former CJN when he could not explain the source of the money found in his accounts. Speaking to the Yoruba leaders, the President said;

“I will tell you as Afenifere, that was why I had to deal though reluctantly with the former Chief Justice, because there were millions of dollars, euros, not to talk of naira, which were not declared.
I wonder what sort of conscience some of us have. How can you seat and preside and lock people up for years and even sentence some to death and yet you are not doing what the constitution says you should do by occupying that vital institution.
On fighting corruption, you know it again I don’t mind repeating myself even though I sound like a broken record, as a military head of state, I took everyone to prison and pronounced them guilty until they can prove themselves innocent.
We put tribunals in all geo-political zones and they investigated those who were in charge of government money and took all of them in prison until they explained what happened to government’s money. Even I was detained, this is Nigeria.
That was why I decided to put on agbada and see. I attempted three times up to Supreme Court and winning the fourth time thanking God and technology, I am now qualified to be a solider and a politician.

Professor Wole Soyinka and media mogul Mo Abudu have both reacted to the unusual encounter between the nobel laureate and a plane passenger that led to national debate in the last 24-hours.

Mixed reactions have trailed the conversation about the incident where a young Nigerian man 'ordered' Wole Soyinka, out of his seat onboard a flight over the weekend and Mo Abudu's initial reaction to the story also made her a target online.

In her reaction a few minutes ago, she said, 'good morning beautiful people. Its 6.30 am here in Los Angeles. Quite a bit has been said about me making certain comments about the young man that refused to give up his seat for Professor Wole Soyinka'.

She went on to add that, 'I will not comment further on this, however as you all know I LOVE and RESPECT Professor Wole Soyinka dearly. Based on this incident, I did receive an email from Professor Wole Soyinka this morning'.

Hallo Mo,
Someone sent me Patrick Tonye's comment on the plane incident, and I saw your brief comment. It was a very minor thing and I'd forgotten all about it. However, after reading the boy's response, I became curious.
First, I never exchanged a word with him throughout beyond inviting him to take his allotted seat. Never spoke a word to him after that. Certainly never exchanged contact. So of course, I wonder if it's the very individual who's posted this or a total fake.
The phenomenon of stolen identities takes very strange dimensions and has become a source of worry. I wonder if this is one such. Any way of your finding out. I don't operate in the social media as you probably recall.

A teenage girl reacted horribly and caused a scene after abusing drugs in Abuja.

The girl, reportedly aged 17, and another friend, aged 15, went to the National Stadium in Abuja. While there, the older girl consumed an illegal drug and began reacting to it.

The younger girl narrated how the incident unfolded. She said her older friend has experimented with drugs before at her home during her brother's birthday. She claimed the girl took "small drop" on that day.

Narrating how the latest incident occurred, the girl, named Favour, said she and her older friend and some others were hanging out. She bought Coke for them but they refused to take it and she wasn't aware when they went to buy the drug her friend reacted to.

The one who took the drug can be seen on the floor rolling and screaming while calling Favour to take her home.
