Its always dificult 2 tel who wil win each time arsenal n manutd are playin against each other. You cant judge by their current form. As both clubs can spring up surprises. D season we won manutd home n away they were have wining streak while arsenal were wombling. Also cant 4get dat manutd defeated The Invincibles. Though in recent times d reds hav come out top. I v a feeling ds yr wil b different as d level of our players' determinatn v increasd. Remember also we have a deadly midfield striker named 'Cesc Fabregas' Visit www.hostsoccer..com for more controversial issues an post your comment |

The heat took its toll on me in this just concluded week. The battle for top position in the English premiership has just begun. Many had predicted that Arsenal will not be in contention for the title this season. Many still believe so though. With the kind of inconsistency amongst all the big four in the premiership, it is becoming more difficult to say for sure who will come up top by May ending. I shall be looking at this season’s performances from a neutral point of view. I am a Gunners fan, but I still find it hard to believe this is Arsenal’s year because the real test has just begun. I will not subscribe to Wenger’s point of view that Arsenal is stronger than last season. Arsenal is only benefitting from the level of inconsistencies that have befallen Man United and Chelsea. What about the once almighty Chelsea FC? Most people believe it is easier chasing Chelsea FC from behind than Manchester United. I do believe that. It would be the worst nightmare of many Chelsea fans if they fail to win the title this season having been at the first position for so long. But their dream seems to be under threat now. Finally Manchester United seem to be less threatening without Christiano Ronaldo. Man Utd have been known to have a dip in form any season they lose a key player; Beckham, Keane, Nistelrooy and now C’ Ronaldo. They look shaky, but then you can never give up on them because they will fight it out till the final day of the season. Taking a brief look at what took place over the week in the soccer world. Arsenal passed their first real test on how prepared they are to win this title. Coming two goals down to win Bolton 4-2 is a big feat and the fact that it is coming from Arsenal makes it the more special. This is a team known to lack that fighting and never say never spirit. This is a real confidence boost toward their coming matches against Aston Villa, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool in that order. Man United lost their eighth game of the season to Man City in a Carling’s Cup clash over the week but rose to the challenge by leading Hull City by a massive 4-0. The outstanding performance by Nani makes me wonder why he has had to spend most times on the bench this season. Four goals by Rooney also make him the favourite as the top scorer this season. Is he that prolific? Judge that. I think his goals this evening were not cheap but the fact that he is top on the scorer’s list is benefitted from Drogba being away on National duty and Torres being injured this season. I stand to be corrected though. Chelsea also seems to have found their boots back by winning 2- nil over the today (Saturday). With all this performances it would be difficult to predict who will eventually go home with the trophy at the end of the week |
